Yeah, we know its French toast and many places have there own version of it. Still I appreciate a new take on it. She cut the crusts off simply to make another dish and to show that you can make something easy and delicious without wasting food. I think its important to show that you can use the bits you dont like, as I know many folks who cut off the crusts when making sandwiches and French toast and just throw the crusts away.

Each recipe was a new twist and inspiring spawning other ideas ... will post this on Pinterest so I can find it later. Was wondering however... with regard to using two pieces of bread in the first recipe whereby you soak it before frying. How does the middle turn out? Is it cooked all of the way through to a custard? If not how long does it need to cook for it to be finished inside? Just curious... as I want to try that one first... appreciate your taking the time to created this video for us.

Love this French toast, and it’s pretty much how I’ve always made it, only I had more egg and less milk. What temp was stove on, and for how long was the bread fried? Was the interior of this double bread fully cooked? I don’t like soggy French toast, and I don’t eat eggs that aren’t cooked properly.

My two cents: 1. cut wide slice (1in) out of French bread and use one slice at a time 2. Beat eggs before adding 2% milk 3 . While beating add sugar, pinch of salt as you like (optional) 4. Sprinkle cinnamon powder over the mixture and finally 5. drop few particles of fresh 🌰 nutmeg by grating. Nutmeg is game changer in this French toast. Use butter like Kerrygold. Use low heat. Yes maple syrup is great. You can spread Philadelphia cream cheese or any other similar item. Yes one or two drops of organic vanilla extract or pinaapple extract to your taste. Use heavy duty pan or griddle. Use hand held electric mixer. Enjoy innovations. Let me hear what did you like most?
