    This is absolutely the best airgun channel on RUclips or anything ever! Most importantly for me no animal cruelty because I can't deal with it , but I also love and collect guns and I love the old fashioned respectful style of the talking from the good old British bloke! Andy I’m so glad you reviewed this nova vista alpha. I bought one this year and I think it’s the best purchase I’ve made in the airgun world. My .22 is very accurate and I would put it up against anything at the shooting range, even the most expensive rifles. It is unbelievable how many shots you get with one Fill. I have been raving on about this rifle to my friends for ages and after watching many reviews I decided to take the plunge and buy the rifle. So glad I did. I can see many people now selling their expensive Fx impacts And buying the Nova Vista Alpha. Job well done

    Thank you for doing this video. I entered the airgun market last June at age 58 and have purchased many airguns by watching your reviews which help guide my decision . I think you do a great job! I received my wood stock model tonight in the mail and boy is it everything you stated in your video. Reminds me of my Marauder. Also received a nice Hawke Scope and mounted it tonight. I've never owned a PCP, having only recently got into airgun shooting with a cheap .177 Baikal MP512 springer, which has served me well in learning the basics & been a lot of fun on the local range & in my back garden. Recently with the lockdown, I've had a lot more time to sit in the sunshine doing some plinking & my thoughts turned to possibly upgrading. I did a lot of research & eventually saw this rifle in the wood stock & liked the look & price. I found this video, & a few others afterward, and instantly fell in love with it. Last week I was able to place an order with Soloware & I'm expecting it to be delivered in mid-late June. I'm like a little kid waiting for Christmas.
    I cannot wait to get my hands on this sexy little lady, take her down the range to show her off & put her through her paces. I'll keep the Baikal for the back garden as it's more than accurate enough for the 20m I have to work with. It will be interesting to see how far out I can hit things with this new rifle. Thanks for the review. Covers everything I needed to know. I've watched it several times already & will probably watch it a few more times before the delivery arrives.

      It's a great hobby. Good excuse to get out of the house & spend an hour or two in just plinking at the range. The only thing I've found is the amount of ammo I now get through has shot up massively! Going to need to start bulk buying. It's too much fun!

    Andy, enjoyed this video, was convinced that this may be the PCP gun that I was looking for.
    The Vista Alpha is called NOVA Liberty in the United States ( took a little bit to correlate). You may want to share the different names of the same gun depending on geographical location.
    I purchased the .177 cal Nova Liberty a few weeks ago and I am pleasantly surprised at how accurate this gun really is. (using Vector optics Orion 4-16X44 SFP)
    I am using Gamo Rocket .177 Cal, 9.6 Grains, Ballistic Tip, and put 10 shots at 20 yards inside the size of a penny.
    Yard varmints don't have a chance.
    However, wood stock is just a bit heavy for shoulder shooting, needs a tripod or shooting stand to accurately hit the intended aiming point.
    Thank you for providing good guidance and review information.

    I'm so old that I stick to certain brands. The synthetic stock would be good for a low cost rifle you could keep outside on deck. I plan on doing that with a synthetic. 25 break-barrel. I can throw it in the utv, and go around the ranch. I had to replace a suppressor on my HW44, so it stays on its pillow now, or for walks on the deck, but no more rides.
    The rifles from SMK ----accuracy seemed above average, and all the demonstrations looked much tighter than I would have expected. The wooden rifle stock was attractive.

      Chris Neville for the price you can not beat it. That said her in the USA I have several and two of them push 15.4 grain pellets at 1050 and on low power they shoot at around 825-850 which I think is still over the 12 FPE max. I will say this...for all the features you get for the amount of money you spend, you cannot go wrong. They are super accurate on low power, even more so than on high power. Other than that I don’t know what else your looking for. All this with zero modifications. So do what you want. I have 9 PCPs, 5 are Nova Vista Liberty’s, a FX Crown, LCS SK-19, FX Impact, and a Uragan Long. At 50 yards I cannot tell the difference in the grouping with a 15.89 grain JSB so your call. Sub 300$ gun or 1500&up... up to you mate.

    Is the SMK Nova Vista Alfa
    PCP Airgun quiet enough for neighborhood backyard?

  • @blueboywill
    @blueboywill 3 года назад

    Andy, please tell me it isn't true that the nova vista alpha has been discontinued! I've heard something about the air tank being crimped on rather than screwed in, leading to irreparable damage if dropped, but this wasn't reliably sourced info. It'd be such a shame if true, as this rifle is everything I want!

    I looked for one at 3 gun shops in a 25 miles radius of were I live , was told popular and sold out , and not sure when next delivery would be so bought a Gamo Phox , the shot count ain’t clever at 65 to 70 usable shots and prefer side action of this gun rather than the bolt type action of the Gamo , but my gun came with silencer ,, moderator , cheers Shane ,, uk 🇬🇧 ps the name is a mouthful,, asta vista baby 🍼

    You don’t clean the barrel on the lcs sk-19. One of the nice things about Polygonal barrels is that they don’t foul up very easy and require little to no maintenance.

    • @AAROnair
      @AAROnair  4 года назад

      I would be pretty confident it was the tank but it is difficult without testing it, you need an ‘end stop’ for the foster fitting, this will then allow the tank to fill up the hose to pressure and will show you what is in the tank as a check, in case someone is short changing you. hope this helps. thanks for watching .Andy.
