You're right I hadn't heard of the Vixen before. but I have now, and it certainly looks like a fine piece of machinery. I appreciate your evaluation, and thank you for the parking slot that gives me some sense of scale. That is the 5.5, yes?
It's not often that I see a gun like this and immediately know I want one before it even starts being reviewed. The review just validated that first thought. Thanks for this gem, Andy!!!
I had an airgun and wanted to upgrade to a pcp rifle, when i found this channel. Saw a lot of pcp rifles on RUclips, but was sold when I saw the Vixen and the great reviews. With all the gear I needed as starter, it was getting quite costly. Luckily I stumbled on one that was pretty much brand new and came as a complete set (rifle, Vecter scope, solid bipod, new 10 L filling bottle, lots of pellets and a manometer) for €1500. After letting know it was worth (at least to me) €1350. The seller agreed. And a must say it's worth every penny. What a great piece of equipment. Like a laser. Thanks again for the elaborate review. This will give me lots of joy for many years. Btw, as lots of other people replied, we would love to see another video about with Vixen. This with different pellets, slugs and distances. Hope to see ot soon. Keep it up!
Brings joy to my heart when Andy loves a gun, not shooting much these days, due to age, still take my beloved HW 77 out now and then, shows my age. Using my Alecto pistol for fun plinking but at this weight and performance, this Vixen looks like I might join the 21st century yet.
HW77, what a wonderful rifle. I run hot and cold with my shooting as well but I really want this gun, it's beautiful. I hope you get one too and love it 👍
I've had this gun for a couple of months now in short .22 sub 12 version. What a piece of kit. My grouping at the outdoor range (60 yards calm day) is @ 1 inch. It's not pellet fussy, and I'm getting 160-170 shots from a 300 bar fill (got a compressor). This truly is a 'keeper' and is now my 'go to' gun for pests, and it gets the lions share of the range time too :) I like the lever being on the left, you really can stay on shot while loading the next pellet. Thanks to Karl at VA for introducing me to it
This review is why I went and got the long version of the Vixen in .177, and I must say that I enjoy shooting it immensely. It's accurate to the point that it's allmost boring to shoot. 😉
finally got mine Vixen AGT long in .22 sub12 ,put on a Vector optics Continental 4-24x56 scope and i love it. I can confirm that the gun is not pellet fussy and will be happy with either JSB or H&N pellets.Groups are superb and it is an absolute pleasure to shoot.Eating through pellets like there is no tomorrow.Very light to carry arround, ideal for targets and pest control.Had a choice of AGT Vixen/Uragan/Vulcan or Edgun Leshiy ,just after the reviews of Andy and many others i went for AGT Vixen as i wanted something lightweight and not costing a kidney.(sorry Edgun). For the price of Leshiy i got the gun and scope and a compressor and still got a lot of change left for pellets so yeah win win here. Love the gun, cant recommend it enough.

Yes we need to see another lengthy test with lots of different pellets along with trigger adjustments because I feel there is more in this rifle. @@vcanvr_yt thanks mate, great to get info from someone who has had both. I recently bought the FX Maverick and wish i'd gone with an AGT, the FX is hugely overrated in my opinion.

Great review again Andy. This looks like am updated gunpowder stealth which I own among others. So many guns now copy the stealth but the original is a great gun. I would recommend one.

I would definitely like to see a further review on this gun as I am looking at FX Dreamline, Benjamin Gunnar, Hatsan Factor and the Airmaks Katran.
I like the vixen's magazine & the accurate barrel, along with the shroud/suppressor picatinny adaptors & scopes. If you could marry the Ed guns larger stock tanks 350cc 300 bar & regulator = EAR as well as the semi auto firing mechanisms in a 30 cal. This PCP would be a formidable silent short range weapon of choice!

Definitely interested in you exploring it a bit further if you want to put a vid together.
@@theexisting1197 It's rated at 17 lb ft of muzzle energy. The relatively weak .22LR has a muzzle energy in the 135 lb ft range. A full power rifle cartridge like the .308 Winchester will be in the 2,700 lb ft range and a 9mm (9x19) will be in the 375 lb ft range.

I want two too!!!
Excellent review Andy, always a pleasure. Not a big fan of the quasi-military airgun myself (I hate the new AA S510T for example) but this looks great. It doesn't look like an air-gun gussied up to look like something that would appeal to the bed-room warrior types, it looks like itself. Definitely interested in you exploring it a bit further if you want to put a vid together.
Very interesting comment
Haw meny price
Just what I wanted now.
Thanks for the video.
Damn good program. Great message
Great review Andy thanks gun looks good cheers 👍
What a machine! Test slugs in it Andy please!
Another great video. Of course we want to see what else performs well with them. I wonder if these are available in the States? Yes, about $1350.
Do you think that gun does damage like bullets or is not that type of weapon?
@@theexisting1197 It's rated at 17 lb ft of muzzle energy. The relatively weak .22LR has a muzzle energy in the 135 lb ft range. A full power rifle cartridge like the .308 Winchester will be in the 2,700 lb ft range and a 9mm (9x19) will be in the 375 lb ft range.
@@rich7447 😅 damn you know your stuff thanks for the lesson
@@theexisting1197 I didn't know the muzzle energy for this air rifle and had to look it up (apparently the UK version has to be under 12 lb ft to own it without a license....crazy). The other three I know from reading ammo boxes for the stuff I buy most often (my FAL and M11a1 + my teen daughter's Ruger 10/22). No way I could tell you anything about the ballistics of my .416 Barrett since it is far more accurate than I am and at $6 a shot I can't afford to shoot enough.
@@rich7447 Again thanks for the lesson (honesty) I better look at the ammo boxes 😅 still learned something appreciate you, the best to your daughter family as well. ✌🏾
Excellent results 👍🏻
