- HI GOOD PEOPLE! Many of my subscribers have rightfully pointed out that the Peace PIpe video uploaded 2 days ago freezes at times. I have reviewed it and brought the necessary corrections. Please enjoy the video now undisturbed. Peace Pipe was written by Norrie Paramor and originally recorded by The Shadows in 1961. I have tried to render it as faithfully as possible using a mix of ping pong delay effects and a touch of reverb from the XP guitar amp, though at times personal feelings take over. I thank my brother-in -law Alain for lending me his blue Fender clone guitar for recording this session. Enjoy !!! Alain

It would be great if a group or more be started to play all Shadows numbers to keep alive their legacy

May i know your guitar, amp and echo unit you are using.?
Hi thank you for your interest in my video. My secret on Peace Pipe is as follows: The Guitar: Cheap chinese fender ST copy branded Starway, the Amp brand XP also is a chinese clone of some low power Marshall amp originally 15 watts but modified to 30 watts by changing the original power IC TDA2030 to LM1875. Echo effect setting as follows: I plug the guitar in the line in of my Soundcraft mixer Notepad 124FX and set the 1st echo/delay of the mixer to tap tempo manually. From there the signal feeds the XP amplifier onboard delay/reverb IC M65851FP which gives indeed that very pleasant delay/echo sound. No pedal used. I like tweaking a lot . I am sorry for going a bit too techincal.
How nice of you. I'm from Sri Lanka. But to find those accessories is the problem. I have Marshall 15 watt amp and Nux II unit it gives delay reverb etc. effects. But you getting the sweet tone is the magic
@@BushalPerera i have also replaced the original 6 inch speaker with a celestion speaker Seventy 80 which has a soft sound . You have to adjust the guitar/amp/mixer tone controls to match the one you are looking for. My amp delay/reverb is really exceptional.

I'm sorry if I used your photo unaware that it was yours. I fact it was shared by a relative, a late Shadows fan whose passion was to collection pics of the Shadows from Pinterest. All my apologies once again.
That's no problem and t is nice to see it there. I took this of my Burns Shadows Custom guitar some while back. I might know your friend as I have played since the 60's and started the band The Evening Shadows. We were friendly with Bruce plus Jet and Licorice both played with the band on occasions. My regret is that I have never been to a Shadows concert, but anyway I have been to local concert seeing " The Shadows revival band" playing, a very good band. @fjadouce100 yes it's a lovely relaxing slow shads tune, I believe it was on their first LP which showed them in sweaters with their guitars, mustang, all my sorrows , nivram was on same LP, I saw it in the window of a record shop when I was about 8
Yes. Blu star is on the debut album recorded then on mono tracks.
@fjadouce100 it's funny how I discovered the shadows, I was in a restaurant in blackpool one Sunday with parents and someone put apache on juke box and I recall a man next table had head all bandaged up like a mummy so when hear tune that day comes to mind
