Hello, Great performance of a classic The Shadows tune. Wonderfull setup and very nice Video. Well done my friend , beautifull sound. Kindest regards. Arie
Hi Bob, Thanks for the reply. Yes, great memories. My dad used to take me to the Isle of Man every year for the TT races and Mike the Bike and Ago were two of my childhood heroes. There is nothing like the sound of an MV Agusta or Honda 4-cylinder wailing like a banshee around the mountain circuit. All the best, James
@jastreet0123 Wow, both great bikes in their time, especially the MV, an exotic bike in my view. The mention of MV Augusta brings back memories of watching Giacomo Agostini racing them at Brands Hatch in Kent and at Spa in Belgium. On one occasion I can remember seeing him, Bill Ivy and Phil Read on Yamahas and Mike Hailwood on the Honda all came around together, I can still hear the sound, fantastic. When I watch your guitar playing I will see you in a different light now. Best Regards, Bob
Hi Mike, Thanks for taking the time to watch my video and for your kind remarks. I have been checking out the videos of your band. You have some great live performances - very nice and fun to watch! Cheers, James
Hi Robby, Thanks for watching - I'm glad you enjoyed it. Love your channel, but I can't figure out which echo unit you are using to get that great sound! Regards, James
Hi Dave, Thanks for checking out my videos and for your kind comments ... glad you are enjoying my uploads. Yes, I am lucky to have some excellent gear and it definitely helps with the sound. Cheers, James
Hi DedStar, Thanks for checking out my Peace Pipe video. This tune is one of my favorites too. Glad you liked it. Best wishes from the USA. Cheers, James
brilliant cover beautiful tune very underated when i see other guitarist at gigs they want to play apache this is alot easier on the ear just like wonderful land thanks keep at it
Hi Janos, Thanks for watching and for posting your great comments ...I appreciate it very much. Best wishes and friendly greetings from the USA! Cheers, James
Hi Kitty, Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the TVS3 does give a great sound. I have been enjoying your 'Shadowmania' videos. It looks like a lot of fun. Must try to make it to a gathering. Cheers, James
Hi Jayx3, Thanks for checking out my video ... glad you enjoyed it. Although I used the Line 6 for its Vox AC15 and AC30 amp simulations on some of my earlier videos, it actually contributes nothing to the sound on this one. I recorded the lead guitar with a Shure SM57 microphone in front of the AC15 cabinet. Yes, you're right about the end-credits, lol! Cheers, James
Hi Bob, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Was just watching your new upload. Beautifully-played, great sound and a lovely bike too. Funny how guitars and bikes often go together. I have a Triumph Bonneville T100 and an MV Agusta F4750S. Best Regards, James
My comment was cut off. I wanted to say someday I would like to have your setup. Keep up the good work and thanks for posting. I play a lot of The Ventures songs because they were popular here in the 60's and I am glad I was recently introduced to the Shadows music.
Hi Ric, Thanks for your comments. I really enjoyed your latest version too. Peace Pipe is one of my absolute favorites. You play the tune very well and the sound is excellent. Cheers, James
Hello Derek, Thanks for your great comments on my video. I'm glad that you discovered my channel and I hope you'll come back again when you want to take a trip down memory lane with these lovely old tunes. Best wishes, James
Hi Mike, Thanks for the great comments! It took me a few while to figure out the sound, but I think I came pretty close on this one thanks to the excellent combination of a TVS3 echo unit and hand-wired AC15 amplifier. All the best, James
Hi James. I have no Idea how to play the guitar I only know a great sound and a guitar well played my friend. Two things when I retired 9 years ago to do 1 learn to swim and 2 learn to play the guitar 1 is done 2 my fingers are a little stiff now from golf. so I think I will just enjoy your playing instead God Bless you my friend.
Hi Matt, Thanks for checking out my video ... glad you enjoyed it. I placed my order by e-mail, paid by PayPal and had the TVS3 shipped directly to me in the US. I am not aware of a UK importer and so I believe the same process would apply over there. Cheers, James
Hi Robert, Thank you. I agree that the sound is much better than on version 1 even though the equipment is the same. Having good gear does not necessarily guarantee the best Shadows sound, as there are many other variables. All the best, James
Hello James thank you for subscibing to my channel . I have returned the compliment . Excellent playing and authentic tone . Wow your gear puts my humble Fender -fuse Amp to shame . Best Wishes George
Hello!
If anyone wants to skip the introduction, the tune starts at 00:28. Thanks for watching!
