- We've curated a fun group of special things for this month's eBay listing video! Glamorous Dresden dancers and elegant Victorian centerpieces sell alongside unintentionally hilarious ephemera in this video, which features the exclusive and expensive alongside the cheap and tawdry. Our goal is to bring unusual and different items to satisfy a wide range of collector tastes to these special eBay listings!
Have fun exploring these wonderful items with us as we take a deeper dive into what makes them appealing to today's collectors. Examples of amazingly fine work in European porcelain and ceramics, American potters who surprised everyone by creating small batches in remote places and fun pop culture items from the mid-century all have good stories to tell. We elaborate on each one, talk about what we hope and expect them to do on eBay, then let them list while you watch! (Providing you're a level 2 or 3 member...they get first access to this monthly bonus video, so if you're watching on replay click the JOIN button or look for membership info in the descriptions of any video for details on how you can get early access.)

Great video. That French vase...omg. The gorgeous things...So much beautiful storytelling. No one does it better. Thank you.
That Dresden lady is just beautiful and glad she survived the multiple potential points for damage
No kidding! So delicate
Love that you provide background info on these beautiful and amazing pieces.
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
Mary Pickford had a fascinating life! I listened to a Podcast about her on the History Chicks channel. Good stuff!
😂😂 good thing you were wearing the gloves for the chasity belt!
Hi George, waiting patiently for your 2nd Mt. Dora Show 😊
Hello from Springfield. Luv the blue sky vase! But the creme de la creme is the Budapest bowl 😍 GORGEOUS like I've never seen!!! I hope the bids go through the roof for you George. Wish I could afford. Take care and see you on your next video.
I can only think of Singing in the Rain scenes for silent/talkie transition
Oh yes!
The Neiger brothers things is amazing. Thanks for introducing them to me!
George. As always, another great video. I honestly don't know why you don't have your own show on either The History Channel or HGTV.
You, kind sir, have a beautiful mind.
I love you George. I have nothing but the very best wishes for you.
The Dick mirror, thanks for a reminder of my immaturity lol! On one of our road trips south, we stopped in at Dick's Sporting Goods. Because well, we're 55+ yr old oft times just randomly roaming for amusing discoveries. There's a small town in Nfld we had to visit a few years ago: Dildo. Enough said...😇
Thanks George.
My grandparents met at the roller rink and my Grandma is 96.... We still go it's a lot of fun... Whoa that Neiger Bros Brooch is gorgeous.. thanks for the history
I was knitting during the video and dropped a stitch when you showed the Blue Sky piece. What a great find.
The last item is one the most amazing pieces I have ever seen. , candy for the eyes!!! I bet it sells for maybe $350 to $400. I think it's worth that for sure. Thanks for your video🐰🐰🐰
Love how you give us information on each peace
The cornucopia is absolutely gorgeous!!
39:30 😂😂 I love your face control while talking about this piece. Isn't it interesting how our applied meanings change over time? Love it! 👍
Loving the items, loving the background info
My God, that Samson piece is magnificent! What a gorgeous piece.....and entirely out of my price range. I can appreciate "exquisite" but can't always afford it. It's certainly lovely to look at, though. My eyes are thoroughly sated.
I have nothing but respect and admiration for your wide range of knowledge. Your effort in research is obvious and fully respected by this life-long collector of many interests. Thank you.
Ohh my George! Some stunning pieces in this group. The blue sky piece has gone through the roof. I believe you said $175 or a little higher, it is currently at $400 😯
It actually sold for $610! I was amazed, the prices on currently hot parts of the art glass market are really soaring
Thanks for exposing me to Rushmore Pottery. Looks like they made some nice stuff.
I love showing Dakota potteries, they're all interesting and they're all pretty well made
Wow, the bidding on the Czech spatter glass item has already gone crazy. Yay!
Congrats on the blenko, George! Wow price!!
Love your auction video. You do such a wonderful job explaining what items are. Thank you!
Amazing pieces
Thanks for all the info. Love learning!
Such pretty and unique items. So fun to hear the histories and backgrounds. One thing not mentioned about Mary Pickford was her marriage to her 2nd husband, Douglas Fairbanks. Along with the business partnership the had together with Charlie chaplain in forming United Artists, they had their famous mansion known as Picfair.
George you are having too much fun.....
Thank you, amazing pieces❤️🥰
Awesome pieces there
You always have great pieces, and great information, thank you🥰
George this episode was absolutely wonderful!
Incredible pieces!
Loving the videos
The Hungarian porcelain is very beautiful. All the pottery, and porcelain just makes me drool. Good luck with your sell, and thank you for sharing.
There were some humorous mis steps in family crests which came back from China with them not understanding what they had been sent
Yes! I've heard there were some "reorders"
Lots of cool treasures George!
Hey George, as you probably know photographers told people not to smile because their teeth caused a glare or shine on the picture but most people think they were just stoic or unhappy, nervous maybe lol.
Glad you brought up the meaning of end-of-day and how it's not always the case. Not even having studied about it myself, it just doesn't seem logical that there would be so much of it out there if it weren't intentionally done as you pointed out. Nice to see my assumptions are correct. A lot of knowledge we gain is from experience and independent of book knowledge. They say we have the world at our fingertips because of the internet, but I think there is probably more incorrect information out there than correct information, or just even just a lack of information.
Hi George 🌹Love the splatter Czechoslavakian vase. The colors are so vibrant. Hope they all sell high for you❤
Absolutely amazing pieces in this lot of Ebay items! I appreciate (and I am amazed by) all the detail you give in regards to the history of the items.
You're so welcome! I like sharing what I know about these things, it helps them sell better but is also a lot more fun
That first item was pretty
Loved the green Rushmore vase and the story.
Do autographs have to be authenticated? Apparently it's widely known that some celebrities have their assistants sign for fan mail/merch.
The Dresden was lovely. My love of figurines is at war with my clumsiness.
Me too! I pick up splatter glass when ever I see it….and they never make it to the to-sell pile. Especially the Black/orange
Rushmore Pottery reminds me of Frankoma
Excited to be a new member ready to learn :) 1:11
Aww thanks I'm so happy!
Bummed I missed this one, but I was actually picking up auction winnings last night. Looking forward to the next members live :)
I really enjoy them and your being part of them is very cool
Just took a look at the Neiger brothers auction...noticed a BIG problem. Blurry photos...not the worst. The description doesn't mention the enamel loss " Excellent, no losses or dents of any sort" ... that spells disaster if anyone other than a follower buys it. It's descrived as "no losses" that means no enamel losses either. It could be a legit SNAD filing begging to happen. I'd cancel the bids and take the auction down and fix it due to "error in listing." FAST.
Love and peace
Hey George, you're missing your items in the list of links, beginning at No. 7. Therefore, Rushmore at No. 6 was the last item you listed. Great stuff!! It's always exciting to see what you're going to pull out of your magic hat.
Well shoot how did that get removed? Too late now, sadly enough.
@@TheAntiqueNomad Don't know, lol, but it's all good!!
I have a Samson Meissen style clock that is a copy. One of the strangest purchases I ever made. It is an Asian figure with a verge fusee clock.
They did a lot of Meissen copies, they were actually very open and honest about it at the time and were doing it for museums and the like, but it made some people angry...reproductions always do!
Hi George
Hi there!
So, you can put links in description? I thought we got dinged a charge by eBay?
Hi George 👋🏻
Hi there!
I think those sailors are related possibly. The have similar eyebrows and nose shape.
💖
Hi I like watching you to learn. I cam mot use ebay to either buy or sell. I purchased two peices of fishing gupe at Walmart at closeout for $.99. I put on on ebay to start at $.99, but before I could list the next one ebay decided that I would be banned from buy and selling for life.. I will try to learn from you and go to flea markets and find something some day. Have a good day.
In the case of the postcard, to most of the world it's just a somewhat interesting historical postcard, notwithstanding the one guys hand on the others shoulder in a show of friendship/comradship. So real world value $4.00-$5.00 tops. To put a particular spin on it is just that, spinning it/marketing . Like emphasizing the word 'gay' in old time advertising to spin it. The word meant exuberantly happy or some equivalent in those days, and was understood by all. I notice you also gave that word a contextual nudge in this posting to try to appeal to a certain audience. It was appropriated, much the way the rainbow eventually was, in even more recent times . As kids (I'm 65 now), we included rainbows in our drawings to illustrate the after effects of a rain shower, or show the misty refraction of a waterfall. No agenda, no inferences. Which I suppose just goes to show that a small group, or a subgroups point of view and agenda, or desire to create a new specific meaning for things relative to themselves, can enter the common vernacular if enough of a viral marketing/or propagandists approach is taken over a period of enough time. I like clever puns and play on words as much as the next person, but also am discerning enough to recognize manipulation when I see it (and since many really don't, i.e. 'the masses' they are particularly susceptible to the, not so clever advertising and promotion of various things as acceptable and mainstream by various media methodologies and crass unsubtle attempts at normalizing banter ). I appreciate your commentary and info on antiques and vintage collectibles and your sense of fun and humor, and think overall you do a great job. Keep up the good work.
I am looking for an amethyst Jim Bean stopper for my decanter...help me
👍❤😀
Your Czech pin photo is out of focus on Ebay Such a sad story - I visited Auschwitz a very sobering experience
Yes I didn't realize until I was loading the picture and didn't have the pin with me. Fortunately it went to a viewer who knew what they were getting
What is ur web site that u sell on
How do I do they
