- We so enjoy curating and putting up fun, fascinating and fabulous antique & vintage finds for sale on eBay! See how our latest flight of 20 items did, with actual realized eBay auction selling prices on the vast majority of them.
How do we sell everything from 1940s designer costume jewelry to 1840s creamware on the world's largest antique & vintage auction site? From pricing to photos, we talk about what works best (and sometimes what doesn't) in these auctions, who the collectors for these pieces are and why we choose one item to sell over the next.
Do reserves work better than buy-it-now prices? Is a high starting bid a good idea on a pricier piece? Is a low starting bid likely to grab the right kind of buyer? We explore all these strategies as we share how we achieved another 80% sales rate in this month's auctions.
Great thanks to our Level 2 and Level 3 members who make the eBay listing videos possible each month, and who get early access and first chance to bid! If you are interested in supporting the channel that way, please visit the link to becoming a member down below in this description.

You are a good man! Taking responsibility for an item like you did. I admire you, we need more like you! I also love how your name is mentioned in the other videos I watch, when resellers are confused about a piece they have! Thank you!
That cold port date is absolutely gorgeous!
Oohhhh...that Annamarie Davidson piece is absolutely gorgeous. I would have never noticed the caterpillars. Thanks for pointing that out, once my eyes saw them, I loved it even more. Wow! ❤ As always, thank you so much for sharing your plethora of knowledge. -Amy
I, too, enjoyed purchasing the Apostles Syrup Pitcher! Will treasure it, George! Find more please.
Hi George, I loved seeing the Crissy doll outfit, still in it’s package! I got her for Christmas in 68🥰 I would love to find one for my granddaughters to play with. They love playing with grandma’s old toys and babies❤️❤️❤️❤️
Sounds great! I encourage you to involve them with your collections so they appreciate them and carry them on to their children
I’m the one that bought the Blenko Pisces glass! I wish I could share a picture. I was really happy about it, you are right! 😊
That is awesome! Such a cool piece and I’m glad you’re enjoying it
Sorry, but when you said a priest got a syrup jar with the apostles on it I totally cracked up! I can just imagine him sitting at breakfast eating pancakes! Too many funny lines to text! LOL!😅
Why not? Lol
You are a good guy, very honest.
Yet another fantastic video!! I love seeing what your items sell for & celebrate your successes!!❤️
Thank you so much!! I figure it might help someone else succeed in some way
Love the info on the Kinks tour!
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
I really enjoy your shows….. I believe your never to old to learn. I’m from the Midwest. Moved to Texas, 3 years ago. My ex husband and I had an auction business together. I’ve seen some really nice things. I’m still a reseller after all these years. It’s something in our blood. 😂
I bet you have! I'm always pleased when someone who's done this and knows a lot says they enjoy watching. It is in the blood!
Stop your sobbing was redone by the Pretenders. Chrissy H. was a very big fan of Ray Davies.
Great video George! Loved the AnneMarie Davidson piece! Thanks for sharing!
I’m a fan of hers! I just found another one with a zebra baby on it
I liked the postcard but then I saw the $10.55 for shipping and it took my breath away!
Absolutely love and appreciate all the education I gleen from your vids. I Save them all for reference
Fantastic information- so helpful to our business George - Really appreciate these vids !!
I'm so glad it helps! Thank you
The Crissy doll: A few days before this video, my sister and I were talking about dolls. She said she would like to find her Crissy doll that she had had. The hair came out of the head and you could make it longer or shorter. Then this video came out with the clothes. I asked her if this was her doll and she said yes. Weird.
Thumbs up and ready!
You are such a wealth of knowledge! Thank you for sharing!
Great video- would love more of these that sold on eBay- thanks for sharing it 💝
For many years - the Chrissy doll was OVER-shadowed by Mattel and Barbie. Back in the 1980s & 1990s -- it was actually difficult selling a Chrissy (or one of her friends - Mia , Velvet , baby Chrissy, etc.) for $40.00 MINT in the BOX ! The other factor is , well, women do not collect as many toys as men do. Especially back in the 1980s and 1990s. It's just the way it is. Things are VERY different TODAY ; even though for every 100 male Toy Collectors - there are probably only 20 or 30 female toy collectors - and of that 30% way over half is for Barbie and Kiddles -- and to a lesser extent : Trolls / DAM Dolls or Flatsy's .
P.S. Had this been a vintage Barbie outfit in the package (and not Chrissy) - it would have gone for double or tripple.
I live in Jefferson Wi (about 35 min. from Madison) and never heard of Ceramic Arts Studio. Thanks for the information!
Hey, George! Gonna have to go back and rewatch the earlier premier...I came in too late on it. I don't want to miss any of an appraisal premier. You had great items and great sales!
Thank you! I hope you enjoy them. It was nice to show some true antiques in this flight of objects
I have some rules on "Buy It Now" VS. "Auction". The more esoteric or obscure the item is , the more I want it to go via "Buy It Now" . Especially if the item is not really anything "beautiful to the human eye". Let it sit for a year -- the RIGHT buyer will be along for it. Some day............... If the item is more POP-ular , like a 1966 BATMAN Aladin lunchbox in great shape , then an Auction might be right
Thanks!
@3:25..shipping should be 60 cents for a post card with protective non-flex sides.... not over $10. ouch!!!

Hi George. Ho do I arrange for appraisals with you. Thanks Wanda.
Love your videos! You commented that Chinese buyers were interested in vintage jewelry and that some of the older companies had relocated there. Do you know which company names are now Manufactured there?
I don’t have an exact list but I think Trifari, for one. I think recent Eisenberg Ice as well
I didn't know priests have money to spend.😅

Thanks!
I’m glad you enjoyed this and thank you for your contribution!
