Because of this video, I spotted one of these nativity sets on Facebook marketplace for 40 and picked it up immediately. Already sold the Camel. Thank you
That's awesome!!!! You should sell the empty box (and inserts etc) for the nativity set also!!!! Somebody out there I'm sure has a damaged or missing and would love to buy the empty box!!!
Nativities ALWAYS do well for me year round but especially leading up to Christmas. Thank you for that major BOLO heads up and the advice on piecing it out. It's crazy how much more you guys got vs selling it as a set 🤯🤯🤯
Found a similar or the same nativity set at a Goodwill. Paid $13 sold it for a few hundred dollars. When I looked it up, I was really surprised to see how valuable it was. I was at first thinking of putting it back. Because I didn't want it taking up room and I originally thought it was a lot less valuable.
Wow I have that same Nativity set in my store and getting low ball offers. Mine was New in box asking $500 No one has bought yet, Maybe I should part mine out as well! Hmmm. Great Find. I paid $40 for mine at an Auction a few months back.
I am so upset because I had taken a nativity set out to photograph and for some reason I stumbled and fell and at least half of the pieces are broken. But you have given me hope because now I can sell them individually. Thank you thank you
In my area all shirts are 7.99 plus and most are 9.99 at GW. I live in the middle of nowhere, so idk what they're thinking. It used to be packed and now it's a ghost town. Lol
You did well on those Department 56 pieces😮 I was gifted many Christmas in the City pieces from my mom, incl. The Empire State Building (watched one sell on eBay for $1200). You’ve struck gold if you can find that series! BTW, I could use those post lamps/street lights you found. I’m coming to get them… 😊
The goodwill out here at one I found corral boot, and mens double h boots, and a Uruguay stamped bag. I did research corral boots are about 200 double h boots are around 150 Uruguay stamped bag is around 80 I got all for 20 dollars
Whoa dude you sold them individually which is like totally not what you should do not with anybody would do like it’s all supposed to be together where’s the animals in the Wiseman and the oh my -good for you 😂 I would’ve never thought to break those up but they’re so cool looking and they’re about the size that pretty much would work with almost any nativity scene I mean it’s a large majority in my opinion or that size so if somebody breaks a piece then they can get another wizard a.k.a. Wiseman happy for you $$
Up in northwest Washington it's getting crazy. Im a full time reseller and I think I do pretty well but you really gotta be good at sourcing to make it work. All boots are 19.99 even if the boots are thrashed they could be 49.99. Hats are like 6.99-19.99. Even basic sports ones start at 6.99. The base for any Nike shirts is like 9.99 goes up to 39.99 for basic lightweight Nike dri fit jacket. Couple years ago I was buying wen shampoo bottles for 2.99-3.99 selling them for 30-35. Now everytime I see the same sized wen bottles there 19.99. Thats there base price for anything down the health and beauty isle they think looks quality. 19.99 on everything. And some how they still sell it. Thrifts are super packed with people up in Pacific northwest.
I agree with you! They have become disgusting and overpriced. Even when shopping for myself it's been horrible. They send all the good stuff off to be auctioned off on their website. The ones in my area don't even care about people stealing. I find all the empty boxes of the good stuff gone.
Resellers are horrible on the people who can't afford the expensive brand name items. These items are donated, and before we can get something nice we can afford, a reseller snaps it up to turn a profit. That's greedy and it's sad.
How do you go about selling stuffs on the internet?..can you do a video, showing,,step by step. From listening, shipping, to How get paid.. this would help me,.thank you.
I probably wouldn't recommend free shipping right off the bat and would suggest offering calculated shipping. Eventually, once you see certain things that you can predict the shipping on like video games, you might want to try offering free shipping on those listings and baking the cost of the shipping into the price of the item.
Are Christmas items in general profitable to resell? Are there any items from Xmas that are not real profitable to resell? Great job by the way on your part!
There is a good amount of money to be made flipping Christmas items. It really depends on the brand and such. The member's mark nativity scenes and grandeur noel are pretty popular and in demand. Also, if you can get Mr. Christmas and some Dept 56 stuff for cheap; there is money to be made on them.
Was hoping to get your opinion. I have the opportunity to purchase a pallet that stands about 4ft tall pallet that consists of all brand new auto parts. I can’t really tell what kind of parts are on the entire pallet but I can see brake calipers, oxygen sensors, aftermarket DVD headrests, bug shields, and even an inexpensive scanner tool. I know nothing about auto parts and I know these items will be heavy to ship. I can get the entire pallet for like $250. Is this a risk you’d take? Have you sold auto parts before and how fast do they generally sell? Any help is very much appreciated.
Sorry about jumping in but I would take that deal. A lot of auto parts will fit in a flat rate envelope or the usps region boxes which offer a good price for shipping. eBay also advertises auto parts availability all the time. You also have part numbers on the boxes which simplifies look up and pricing.
Posted this as a response to someone earlier about this topic: I get this one every so often. So, thrift stores sell their goods to raise money for their charitable causes. When I purchase from a thrift store, I am giving them funds to go towards their charitable mission. Most of the stores I go to are in areas that people would consider well off. If only people who are less fortunate were the intended audience of these stores, they would put all of their locations in areas of need. One more thing to note, thrift chains like goodwill in any area with population density get so many donations, there's always new stuff going out on the floor, and there's always stuff they end up liquidating via the goodwill bins. The sheer amount of items they process through is incredible. When I buy stuff, they just put more out.
@@propicker You could be buying something someone could use at the price they can afford. All your doing is looking to make money, and make it cost more. This has made a job for you, that's not what these places are about. That's why I stopped giving my stuff to Goodwill. Do not give me a smart answer. Hope, they wake-up and start looking things up and charge more.
Why don't you want to answer my question about why do you take your mom and aunt with you when you shop? Is it a secret? If it is offensive, just say so⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thrift stores and salvation army is for the Less Fortunate, I think it's kinda fucked up that your possibly taking from the Less Fortunate and selling for profit. I respect the hustle in you and you don't seem like a bad guy . But why not let the Less Fortunate enjoy that stuff .

Boy these 90's Christmas decoration toys are so beautifull and worth a ton of money.

Wow. That's a good tip to piece out the nativity set. I would never have thought of that.
I purchased this Nativity set for my Mom like 7 years ago at Sam’s club.
I think I paid $200 …. She still has it intact ❤️❤️🙏🏼

You killed it on selling the individual pieces! Its crazy what some people will pay for Nativity Pieces - Nice Find Dustin! 😃
Awesome video!!! The nativity set is beautiful!
That explains why my trip to that same thrift store on Black Friday was unsuccessful. Dustin was there first! Lol.

I been to that church in DC for mass. Such a beautiful church. Great find!!
Holy WOW!! What an awesome pickup. Also appreciate you giving the realistic perspective about fees, taxes, etc. Great video!
Shopping by flashlight. Now that's dedication :)

Happy Birthday Dustin!!!
I love to part out nativity sets. You had a great haul!
I always check all year for stray nativity pieces. Put them away and list them in October.
Love your videos! If you ever see any vintage Garfield plushies from the 70s or 80s they usually sell well especially with the tags. sold one for $50!
Nice, yeah I've sold those a few times myself.
Great content. Keep up the good work. You inspire me to keep hunting and listing. Go Army!
Thank you!
Epic find man! Great video as usual. Looks like Q4 is treating you well.
good finds. I have that same ballerina.

I can't even imagine going to flea markets, rummage sales in the the dark...ergo, I'd never succeed as a reseller...lol
Thank you for sharing. I never would have thought to break up a nativity.
New video! Let’s roll!
9:52 Planet of the Apes…vintage?

I'm in CA Also. The prices are ridiculous. Cheaper to go to Kohls on sale.

I agree man I’m also from CA and it’s sooo overpriced and the store is just not well maintained
@@Billyclay24 I bet I would understand more seeing what the lease costs on a GW warehouse. Still just sucks.

Something about regular PlayStation 4 controllers are so satisfying
Nice!!!
You inspire me!
I have the 1999 Members Mark nativity set for sale for just over $100 and not one look.....

When does the thrift store season start? First I’ve heard of that.
I just call it that since I don't have yard sales to go to. So, the end of yard sale season for me.
Goodwill's are charging more than new prices for many well used items. No bargains.
Those original scream masks were going for hundreds in Oct. You could have sold higher.
Dò you clean clothing before resale, just wondering?
Yes, if needed.

A lot of goodwills in Massachusetts are really becoming ripoffs
👍
Why’s it so dark? Is it early or late
Early
Video was FedEx not ups tossing over fence.
I miss the longer videos!! (i know the last video was 25mins but im gonna still complain ;p)
Girl it's Vlogmas! Videos daily!!!! We're lucky!
I didn't think people would want individual pieces of a set . Why do they just want one piece tho ?
That was FedEx not ups! FedEx it’s the worst!!
if each figure is $70 and there are 8 figures. How do you get $1200? I know the background costs money too but they cant be that expensive
A lot of the pieces sold or sell for more than 70 each.
Everything clothing is at least 7.00
Hello sir eBay store shipping
"Lower dollar amounts aren't usually fought by UPS." USPS once fought me over a $50 claim
And they are NOT non-profit. They are a for profit organization.
What’s with that night market? 😂
It starts early in the morning
Goodwill should charge more, it's for the less fortunate. Not for people to resale it.

Do you have any idea how much stuff from thrift stores winds up in the landfill? There’s plenty for the “less fortunate” and the pickers.
Why do you resell goodwill items...
There's people who would like to buy stuff to enjoy.
