She was 38 and she fought for 10 years from a long battle of kidney and heart failure. During her long illness and working F/T taking care of her after nurse left for the day. After she went to bed I so looked forward to watching your videos. You both gave me so much knowledge of what I would love to do myself here in Lakeland, Florida one day soon. I just wanted to tell you both how endearing it was watching you two meet and watching your relationship flourish into what you have now. Your happiness is evident. I am so happy for you two. For me seeing a year on a Christmas ornament doesn't stop me from buying it. Sometimes it just adds to it being antique or i associate it with a special something that happened in my life. That Santa is absolutely beautiful. I'm laughing! While Matt is saying he almost got killed, he pans over with the camera to kayla power walking from around the backside of that truck. She's like nothing is stopping me from getting that deal! Go Kayla!
I loved the snowflake ornament dated 1995 and sighed deeply when Kayla placed it back on the shelf. I wanted it because we purchased our home in 1995, and I lost a brother that year. It would have been a treasured piece.
I have several Waterford ornaments. There is a series of snowflakes. There is a series of the 12 Days of Christmas and many more. They usually have a series with new ones available each year for 10 to 12 years. The dates are not important . A lot of people miss a year and love to find the missing ornament. Sad you put the Waterford ornament down because of the date.
Without a doubt, Matt is so much happier and more fun in his videos! That "woo - wooooo" makes me laugh every time, as well as the happy dances you both have! I think the articulated Santa piece you found with some Joan Rivers jewelry might be "Lunch at the Ritz" jewelry. My late mother and I collected snd the original pieces like that Santa detailed for approx $195. We have most of the collection for all seasons, wrll over 100 pieces. I collected Joan Rivers jewelry from the time she started on QVC and very collectible. Great sale!
Great story Patti ❤ I too watched QVC shows of our favorite designers my Mum & me. We didn't always buy stuff just enjoyed being together & watching. My absolute favorite was the Jacqueline Kennedy Collection 😊 But most of all love the historian with all the pictures 📷 showing the pieces she wore, where she wore them & behind the scenes gossip he brings to every show. She was so graceful & elegant & classy 😍 I never get tired of reading 📚 & watching anything about her 🙏😇💙

I also found a Lenox bone china snowflake in a garage at a sale once, ,just tossed with garden stuff for $1 and it was worth $120. Those pins you found were so cool too! The years do not always ruin an ornament. Sometimes people need replacements for a special ornament that broke or that particular year is special to them :)
I’ve tried to buy a dated one ever since my g/daughter was born. Now that my son has gone no contact I’m glad I did! I keep everything in a box and when my g/daughter reaches 18/19 I will try to contact her. They live in a smallish town so I could always put an advert in their newspaper. (This wish will be in my Will,too)
I went to that same sale a little earlier than you but only had about 2 minutes to look before I had to be somewhere. I snagged a bunch of new old stock Pomegranate napkins, placemats and tablecloths. What a sale!

Can I recommend to you guys to get a large strong wicker basket . Take with you to these sales to put all these small things in so you don't drop them . That would let people know they are yours . Also , you can hang off of your arm leaving your hands free to shop . We used to use them in the UK when shopping at the markets. 😊

I only sell vintage costume jewelry and Joan Rivers, Kenneth Jay Lane, Nolan Miller, Heidi Daus, and Kirk’s Folly are for sure some of my best sellers and names to look out for at the sales you guys hit! There are probably 2 dozen other names but any time I see those names and it looks cool I don’t even have to think about it. I know those will fetch a solid profit.

@MistyWallace-qu9fr I am only on Ebay! It definitely still has its slow times (like the entire summer, I hate summer 😂) but it goes pretty well otherwise. I've thought about using other platforms but ebay takes enough of my time I think I'd just be drowning myself. Etsy seems like a good choice for vintage jewelry though. I keep thinking about it.

I recently learned a trick to get the sticky tags off, try heating them up with a hairdryer for a little bit to loosen the adhesive.
You can soak old set in stains in lemon juice, the concentrate works, you don't have to use fresh lemons. It does work really well.

The years do not always ruin an ornament. Sometimes people need replacements for a special ornament that broke or that particular year is special to them :)

I’ve tried to buy a dated one ever since my g/daughter was born. Now that my son has gone no contact I’m glad I did! I keep everything in a box and when my g/daughter reaches 18/19 I will try to contact her. They live in a smallish town so I could always put an advert in their newspaper. (This wish will be in my Will,too)

I went to that same sale a little earlier than you but only had about 2 minutes to look before I had to be somewhere. I snagged a bunch of new old stock Pomegranate napkins, placemats and tablecloths. What a sale!

Can I recommend to you guys to get a large strong wicker basket . Take with you to these sales to put all these small things in so you don't drop them . That would let people know they are yours . Also , you can hang off of your arm leaving your hands free to shop . We used to use them in the UK when shopping at the markets. 😊

I only sell vintage costume jewelry and Joan Rivers, Kenneth Jay Lane, Nolan Miller, Heidi Daus, and Kirk’s Folly are for sure some of my best sellers and names to look out for at the sales you guys hit! There are probably 2 dozen other names but any time I see those names and it looks cool I don’t even have to think about it. I know those will fetch a solid profit.

@MistyWallace-qu9fr I am only on Ebay! It definitely still has its slow times (like the entire summer, I hate summer 😂) but it goes pretty well otherwise. I've thought about using other platforms but ebay takes enough of my time I think I'd just be drowning myself. Etsy seems like a good choice for vintage jewelry though. I keep thinking about it.

All over everybody & everything. The magic wands were just the right touch! I cherish every piece I have to this day. 🙃 I wouldn't part with it & still get compliments when I wear them out & about 🙏😇💙

I have about 10k pieces total and have one 10x12x3 box with the pieces for me....and a LOT of the ones I kept are Kirk's Folly 🤣 I just love that moon face! And I kept a couple of the cherub earrings. They're just so pretty! I don't even wear watches but I kept a moon watch 🤣

They were selling it for a friend of a deceased person 😢 She said the woman got a dopamine high from shopping but never used the items she purchased 🙃 Thats why most all the items were from QVC, HSN & SHOP NBC 🙏😇💙
I think the lady mentioned an estate and that she had a dopamine hit with every purchase.
