I had that painting in my living room growing up. My parents still have it above.their bed to this day. I can remember when we bought it. It came from a furniture store.
I have been watching you for a long while now. You've always been helpful! I must say this is my favorite video so far. I loved seeing you and your wife's personalities so clearly! Thank you for the work you put into making these videos. They really make my day.
I was curious about this giant cat painting and why somebody would travel so far to pick one up, so I started researching. It looks like either an artist name Antoinette Letterman licensed her painting to JCPenney in the '70s for them to reproduce for sale, or, more likely, no one named Antoinette Letterman painted it, because JC Penney signed many mass-produced fake paintings they sold in the '70s and '80s with the name "Letterman." There is one post that claims the back of their painting had a written blurb from someone named Antoinette Letterman claiming she saw this cat and painted her, and then liked her so much she made a second. But that could be a completely fake blurb that someone added to the picture to give it some value. Nonetheless, there are many of these giant white cat pictures out on the market, which were originally sold at JCPenney in the '70s/'80s, and they do go for good money. They are most likely not real oil paintings either, but one of a few different techniques used to make pictures look like oil painting, the oldest technique is called an oleograph.
🙋 The cat picture was beautiful. Glad someone purchased it from you that will appreciate it. They must have a huge home. It would take a good size wall for that one. 😁
Yep I picked up a Davinci 1.0 Pro 3D printer for $50. They thought it was a rotisserie. Also picked up on different occasions Native Instruments Tractor S4 Mk3 for $25 and a brand new Craftsman battery mower for another $25. Not flipping them just flipping out I got them. Wife has collected many FurReal Pets for $3 - $5 each and reselling on ebay for $40 and up with accessories.
I watched your video of finding the Letterman painting one Tuesday Wednesday. I went to a Yard Sale that same week- on Friday- and the lady had 2 of Letterman’s paintings for sale! One white cat(like your’s) & a one black & white short haired cat one a different sofa .She had them priced at $10 each! I bought them! They wouldn’t fit in my car so the next day my mom & I took her Lexus SVU, with the 3 rows of seats laid down, and drove over an hour to pick them up. They didn’t fit! 😂😂😂 So we drove back home, and got stuck in traffic that was going to a Christmas lights “village” on the way back. The next day, I took my stepfather’s Toyota Tacoma to get them…. Forgetting that his truck bed is covered with one of those flat-things! 😂😂😂 Luckily, they fit if we tied the top thing to the gate. 😂😂😂 I took them straight to my storage unit. Haven’t gotten them listed yet…. But doing that this weekend. I couldn’t believe that I found those, just a day or two after seeing your video! Thanks for the information you share with us! I live in a popular, beach town in SC. Hoping that someone who is coming for vacation will want to purchase it, and pick it up then! 😂😂😂 Or at least, be willing to drive to get them….. but for $10/each- knowing the black & white cat one is worth even more than the white, pushed me over the top!🎉🎉🎉 Love your Channel! Sending you & your adorable wife lots of love & positive vibes from the coast of South Carolina!!! 💜🫶🏼💜🫶🏼💜🫶🏼
@@Alexandrea_Supertramp Lol! We are going DW & US in October….. and if they haven’t sold, that can be arranged! I have even gotten around to listing them. Sitting in my warehouse ever since I got them! 😂😂😂 They’re really cool though! And for the price….. I mean- how could I not get them?! Plus the fact that I’d literally, just seen the video about him finding the Persian, lounging kitty…… It was as if the Universe was forcing me to buy them! Don’t you think?!? At least that’s how my brain took it when I saw them. 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️
I'm enjoying your videos because of the mix of things that you buy and for more than a $5-$20 profit. I see people on here picking up coffee mugs etc...my time is worth more than making a small profit on this stuff I look to make $40-$60+ if I can. Thanks for sharing your info!
Yo Dustin! Haven't watched you in a while. Love love love this video. Nice sale with that painting. You and other resellers have inspired my husband and I to start a resell business. We have great streams of places to pick. We have a Goodwill bins, we have GREAT estate sales and a Discovery store ( to benefit the American Cancer society) 5 min. from our house. They encourage more high end donations. But then their sales are AMAZING! I went to their monthly 1/2 price sale. I got a silk blouse for $3. Winning!!! How is your house challenge?
The casino display is called a "shadow box." I picked up a football themed one and could not find any comps until I figured out the correct terminology.
11:15 yes the bowl is to a mixer I’m almost positive that my mom had one and it can be hard to fine so I would put that as like a replacement part kind of thing I think I still have the old mixer and it’s like mint green so I don’t know if it was the one she bought in the 70s or if it was one she bought in the 50s I got from her parents but it’s definitely an era
Excellent items. I picked up a set of sealed GI Joe only four but only paid £10/$10 usual big love from Scotland ❤️. Would love to come picking with you. Tell Jess we are asking for her
Just wondered how you do a pick up only with ebay. I don't do videos and only sold a little but I know you have to somehow report the sale pickup. You don't want to pay fees on something someone backs out of. I just couldn't get any answers.. thanks. So happy to see others' successes. Hopefully 1 day I will have 1
Hey! Can you do a video on how you storage your stuff!! I’m new and I’m wanting to learn from the “pro picker” how he does it! And how to keep everything organized! Thanks and have a blessed day!! My dude!
I have had that exact same comp issue in a store vs.getting home. I'm thinking that maybe hitting the "Sell One Like It" button would help re-locate it if you have the exact title?
Awesome job on the painting. Did you look up comps on Google and Ebay? before sinking $50 into a painting, I'd have to make sure it was worth my time. It helps when you can actually read the signature on a painting. So many times I have seen nice art, but cannot make out the signature for the life of me.
With the skylanders certain ones can be really good. You want to look for imaginators, some of the trap team stuff, and a very few of the superchargers. Spyros adventures and giants are always a pass
Hey, is the J. Crew shirt made in India? If yes, look it up as / list it as a madras shirt. The non Pyrex white milk glass bowl may go with a vintage mixer. Great find on the Harley sweater.
All right I waited till the end yes I was curious to hear more about the actual artist I’m not sure if you know to the painting and wondering how much they generally would go for and it’s a beautiful painting but apparently those people have a lot more disposable income because I can’t spend that much time and money getting a painting of any kind PS how did you know it was a high end artist or did you just check all the pictures you’re at Goodwill?
With all the stuff you have, how many items do you post daily or weekly? I love shopping for it all and have a good eye but posting it is more of a struggle.
Went to a thrift Store saw a lithograph in a nice frame called coming home the artists Rod Fredricks.pd 4.00 for it .when I saw it angel on my shoulder told me to get

It’s amazing the high end items in your goodwills! That’s definitely not typical!!

One of the great things about living in the midwest is all the camo stuff you find. I've been finding and selling Cabela's stuff like crazy lately.
I love you all’s sense of humor. Excellent on your sale ❤️❤️❤️
Love the differences in clothing names, your vests are the uk’s waistcoats and your overalls are our dungarees 😊

Hey Terry, glad to hear you're finding some deals out there. I did an update on the dream home challenge in my thrift store jackpot video 7 days ago.
Great finds and video but you both make me laugh which is an added bonus 😅

I beg to differ my friend, I am. 😂 ask the goat 🐐 jk
That Columbia jacket comp is my listing lol. Nice pickup!
My goodwill has straight animals fighting over stuff they bring out, I had to stop going. It’s nice to see that’s not every where
It can get competitive here as well. 😅 I typically just don't feature that part on my channel.

What happened to you going to that Salvation Army that seemed like an old gym floor?
Do your stores allow returns?
You're gonna need a warehouse soon for all this stuff you keep finding
I personally like the shopping better than the recap 🤷
Include your wife iN more videos, she is amazing!
Man I want to know where your goodwills are.
Question. Why are the stores always empty or have limited number of shoppers when you are filming?
I edit around people while at goodwill.
Hey, thanks for letting the ebay buyer know what you and other pickers are actually paying for this stuff. You are driving down the resale value!
I think you highly overestimate my influence if you think I am a significant market force.

We should have it listed in the next couple days on the store. I have to look at comps before pricing it. They're a ladies 8 mens 6.

Nobody is paying 100 bucks for a used hunting jacket when they can get a brand new 1 for that amount. Used is 40
If you did local pick up, why would you have eBay fees? couldnt they just hand you $600 cash?

@Pro Picker good to know. Local pick up on ebay definitely seems like it would be a rare occasion, but if it happens it's good info.
