It was an orchestrated campaign... 😆 Unfortunately at the time (2004) my favourite band was Lostprophets, so back in the day that was by far the highlight of the whole weekend. I had two disposable cameras and at least 30 of the pics are just blurry photos of their set. 🤦🏼♀️ Apart from that, I remember enjoying Ash, The Darkness, Hundred Reasons, Placebo, Funeral for a Friend, Bloc Party, Coheed and Cambria, Graham Coxon and many more that I don’t remember… Forever grateful to my parents for letting me go off with my friends to Reading the day I got my GCSE results and after just recently turning 16… Those were the days! 😌

Goes to show the importance of sheer soul. That is a cheap guitar, his mother bought him when he was 12. His set up is very simple. He doesn't use a lot of processors and effects. Just a distortion pedal. The pickups are a huge variable too. But most of the sound comes from his hands.

This was for sure one of their best shows. This was maybe one or two months before SummerSonic Japan when I saw them for the first time. Just before American Idiot album was released. Such great times, they still played some songs as a trio. Such a powerful band.
