One quick comment about Elemental Shaman's utility; for the Alliance, every Shaman is a Draenei. So alongside Heroism, Strength of Earth Totem, Wrath of Air Totem, Totem of Wrath, and Elemental Oath, Draenei Elemental Shamans also provide a +1% hit chance to the group they're in. Plus, Gift of the Naaru scales with Spellpower and is instant cast, so alongside all the passive utility, Draenei Elemental Shamans (any Draenei with spellpower, really) come with a free Renew for the tanks/healers in case of an emergency. So Draenei Ele Shamans have a +5% Spell Crit aura, a +5% Spell Haste Aura, a Spellpower Aura, a debuff that makes enemies 3% more vulnerable to crits, Heroism, an emergency Super Renew, and a groupwide +1% hit rate. (Totally not biased btw)
theyre still dumb ass goat things, and all of that utility minus heroism gets brought by others, sure the 1% hit is cool but ill take a 300 sp ap boost on an orc any day of the week
Yeah, the statement of "play what you want" is mostly true, unless you want to play frost mage, BM hunter, or sub rogue. These specs just suck for PvE. Even a casual guild will likely not allow you to play one of these specs for raid, and no PUG will ever take you.

Been lock since day 1 classic, did SM/ruin in vanilla, reluctantly went destro for TBC in P2, and now I absolutely can't wait to go affliction and live the true DoTing warlock experience! Lock has felt so natural for me, I'm stoked to learn all the ins and outs of maximizing affliction dps. Good video man keep it up!
@@juanfrainsane Uh, no, in my opinion, it's after Feral Druid DPS and Enhancement Shamans. It's hard, but not the hardest and is slightly less punishing if you may fuck up something in your rota.

You undervalued the utility of destruction warlock. On top of warlocks’ available utility, destro brings replenishment and improved imp which are pretty important buffs to have going.
About BM Hunter PVE: You can tame "tank" pet and solo kill bosses on lower lvl DUNGEONS and RAIDS to farm mounts, sets or whatever. It's one of the rare specs that could do that and i find it super fun. ^^
I am seriously considering Shadow Priest because I think I will be sad if I don’t; I played Shadow back in Wrath original, and it was always my favorite iteration of the spec.
During Classic I enjoyed my Spriest the most (specially in PvP), but then I left the game for TBC. I'm sure going to try out WotLK at start and will focus on my Spriest again. Once a Spriest, always a Spriest 😈

I played a destruction warlock back in WotLK. Was consistetly top 3 in guild raid dps. People suggested to respeck to demonology, but it just felt off, I was never able to play it as intended, ending up with just a slightly higher dps, so I switched back.

Back in the day, nobody could realistically defeat heroic 25 man LK unbuffed Nowadays, i am sure they will absolutely DESTROY him probably with 20 people half of them in blue dungeon gear
Arcane has always been on the easier side? Out of the casters in TBCC it has been still revolving around planning mana usage. Like frost was literally 1 button rotation, and so was fire kinda but with keeping scorch up
@@purbmeister - As a more casual player that hasn't chased parses in TBCC Arcane was way more complex than frost or fire due to the risk of going OOM before a fight ends. The decision making maybe gets automated eventually for the best players, but it's still much more brain to it than frost or fire.
@@Ingu.z Buff coverage, innervate availability, proc RNG, fight length and mechanics all have a huge impact on your mana and CD management. People saying it's '"Lulz just 2 buttons" don't understand even the best arcane mage will do average dps on some fights while absolutely blasting on others.
@@heygek2769 - Yeah precisely. Arcane was absolutely broken with T4 gear in heroic dungeons as the boss fights ended so quick (I could have like 75% of all damage on a boss) and you can dump all cooldowns and your mana bar. But what did I do as frost before getting a bit of gear? Frostbolt. Didn't matter if it was a short heroic fight or a long Gruul fight, still frostbolt.
@@Ingu.z uhhh... were you using arcane before getting T5 2set? Because arcane kinda needs that set bonus and a decent gear level to start with. Mages in my guild just played fire until they had the gear to make the switch.
I noticed that watching some beta raids and even raiding sunwell in pre patch, I’ve seen our spriest do insane DPS in every fight. And then coming across one in PVP, once they get all their dots up on you it’s game over.
They aren't really doing better than predicted though. Shadow is strong in t7, they were even strong in t7 back in original WotLK without the buffs they received in 3.2, so ofc they would be strong in Naxx with those buffs. Not as strong as the meta specs, but still very respectable singletarget, ok AoE and strong multidotting (even if you don't have the manapool/regen to support real multidotting until late in Ulduar, and even then you will be using Dispersion on CD for the mana gain on Yogg). This is the best they are going to be though, because Shadow scaling is not very good in WotLK. WoD was the first expansion where Shadow had better than average scaling. The gap between Locks/Mages will only widen every tier, and that's without even mentioning stuff like DKs, Rogues and (eventually) Warrs in t9 and beyond. In WotLK they will probably outscale Ele Shamans, be about equal to Boomkins, but be outscaled HARD by Locks and especially Mages. Shadow still get to shine on fights where we can consistently multidot 2-3 targets, no matter the tier, but those fights are few and far between. A good Shadow will get to shine hard on Kologarn, Yogg, Northrend Beasts and Professor Putricide, so make the most out of those.
@@niksmo1682 no offense but you must have played with poopers. Shadow did well, but could not compete with other classes. I raided ICC mainly on spriest and had my moments where I was number 1 dps but it was not consistent. Spriest and boomkins are B tier dps. Maybe B+ later in ICC Edit: by no means am I saying they are bad. Just not A or S tier dps
Yeah, but the Replenishment talent for Destro is kinda shit, and put in a weird place in the tree. Shadow/Ret/SV all get their Replenishment as a part of big talents in their trees that they would still pick up even if it didn't give Replenishment. It's different for Destro where you have to go out of your way to pick it up. and you have to sacrifice good Dps talents since you don't have enough talent points to do both and it's not part of the "cookie cutter" Destro spec. Frost Mages also have it, but people forget about them for obvious reasons.
I remember in arena warlocks would be dead in 10 seconds because everyone knew how strong they where. BG they are fine. I started a 5vs5 team of just frost mages for shits and giggles and it some what worked. You can raid as any spec the content is piss easy.
I was dead set on mage for the ease of life but now I don't want to spend all raid spamming one button...Thanks Wille, now I need to decide on what to roll. I want @Roxxserm's warrior with a gnome lock tied to its back.
While fire mage is close to a 1 button spec in single target fights, AoE situations are an absolute blast. Living bomb ticking and exploding, with dragonbreath and blast wave allowing you to insta cast flamestrike.
@@heygek2769 Living Bomb stacking 10 of them on different mobs by a single Fire Mage in ICC was the Bomb! Then it got nerfed where you could only ever have one mob with a single Living Bomb per Fire Mage. So we had 5 Fire Mages with 50!!! of them going off at one point!
Too bad you didnt mention the conflagrate warlock spec! Its half destro half demo talents. It was my go to early spec for warlock for dungeons and such.
Okay so: BM is the most insane ranged class for arena when it comes to skill needed, is the easiest to climb to over 1800 with not much experience! So I would give it alot higher in pvp! Its also a blast in BGs!
The meta in arena has changed a lot, less casuals, and a much higher average skill lvl. BM hunters don't bring much CC, survivability and their burst isnt amazing either.
I just loved playing Moonkin because with no change in spec i could heal any group content while supplying a bit of DPS at the same time. Most the abilities effected all spells. I called it BoomHeals lol. It felt like the healer version of a DK DPS who could easily tank.
I played hunter all in wrath. You nailed hunter in this guide. Level as BM (the pet allows questing just a little easier), change to SV at max level it scales nicely up to late Ulduar, then de[pending on gear MM might just start to pull ahead. Once you get the gear (100% arm pen with food etc) then you become a single target monster!
I would swap to SV after like mid-60s. Pet can't hold threat anymore for BM so might as well go with a spec that does much more DPS overall, and has better mana sustain.
@@huntermaster95 I never had a problem in wrath with pet aggro. But I can see why sv woild work, the traps become very useful from 3.0. But my way will probably the way I stick too as even after all these years, it will "just feel normal" haha
4 stars in Boomkin scaling is too generous (i raid on a boomkin). And this because once you hit your soft caps, which are quite low in lategame gear, you only seek spellpower, while other casters continue to make great use of the crit and haste of new gear.
Yeah, moonkin scaling is overrated: no haste scaling on insect swarm, moonfire and starfall; crit scaling on dots basically nonexistant apart from t9 bonus; haste being dead after 400 during wrath eclipse; crit during starfire eclipse will become an issue after ToC. Moonkin stats have dead ends which make scaling worse. It is like crit cap as a melee, but worse. Because that can be raised.
As a boomkin main. I keep telling my guild that boomies won’t pump as hard as they think late expansion. Everyone just sees how well they are doing now and think that’s how it’s gonna be forever.
Hunter discord found out that the reason MM scales well isnt armor pen, it is weapon damage, whereas Survivals Explosive Shot doesnt even have weapon dmg in the formula.
Ohj dear, i am a BM hunter, new player just got to lvl 60 in pre patch, loved the levelling but am real sad its bad at end game, mind you i doubt anyone would want me in a raid anyway as i have no clue what im doing but am having fun
Don't worry, Marksman hunter feels very similar to BM in play style, except you can't have as cool of a pet, unfortunately. And as far as raiding goes, find yourself a nice casual guild that does raids for fun at their own pace and you'll get a good home. Hunters aren't the most sought after dps class, but not far behind. So it should not be too hard to find a guild. Don't try to go lone wolf and find a new pug raid every week though. Unfortunately, most pugs nowadays are very very performance focused in their selection of raiders and a new player is going to struggle having fun, or even getting in. A guild is definitely the way to go, even though the initial plunge of messaging officers and applying can be daunting. But people don't bite, and I've yet to see a casual guild that didn't welcome an enthusiastic newbie with wide open arms. Have fun!
Don't worry, a lot of people in raids don't know what they're doing either. Get into a friendly guild, be upfront about your experience level, and learn. You'll do fine.
BM hunter is decent in tier 7, just know it drops sharply off cliff after that. Destro lock is fun and I don't know when it drops off but it's decent for T7. I know guilds/strict pugs will want you to go demo lock, but you only need one per raid, so if someone else is willing to do shadowbolt spam then by all means let them do it. Demo is boring at hell outside metamorphosis, but they'll always be funneled gear so i guess it evens out for them.
affliction getting alot of unwarranted praise because of the original games memories. Ulduar is the only raid its stackable . It's second or third best range in Naxx and way behind hunter and mage from Trial on.
@@Mrlonefighter If being S tier in Naxx and Ulduar is the goal sure. He was talking in terms of the expansion where in Trial and ICC its so far behind Fire Mage and Marksman that its barely A tier. It's a good class in wrath just the love is overblown because hunter and mage have just as many times to shine as Affliction Warlock does.
Speaking of Hunter, back in Wrath, even my guild was underestimating Survival till i showed then it outperformed MM in high movement fights and held its own everywhere else
People thinking mm is the only way to play dps as hunter in wrath is so frustrating as a sv hunter on private servers. Especially when I out dps half the raid at less gs if I actually get let into a raid.
My favorit thing about wotlk, compared to tbc, that I did not notice back in the days, hence why I hated wotlk back then. Is that all classes feel good to play. TBC felt alot like vanilla in that regard.
@@Rudizel He means Exp Trap glyph. And yeah, trapweaving is required for all Hunter specs if you want to get the most out of your char, not just SV. SV just loses more Dps from not doing it, but it's still a decent gain for MM and BM.
7:42 BM's dominance in BC was precisely the reason for its downfall in Wrath. The fact that it had been so good all throughout BC led Blizz to nerf it, but they went WAAAAAAY overboard doing so. They destroyed BM so utterly with the Wrath nerfs that it wasn't even viable again until late Cata. One good expansion was paid for with being utterly worthless for the next two - one of the most egregious overnerfs in the history of the game.
Arcane mage might not seem very complex on a first glance. But managing your mana, and gearing your mage optimally to preforn the best, is where most of the difficulty Lies.
Demo should outshine Affli on most Affli fights due to 1 main reason: you can pull trash mobs onto the boss so u can keep Decimation active an entire fight. Which is absolutely laughable damage.
Maybe it's just me but I'd have thought that a spec that is simple to play would get a higher rating in complexity because it's easier to get the most out of and less likely to make a mess of things.
Mage since vanilla BC up to Battle for Azeroth, quit retail and started anew in classic. Again, as a mage. Will be mage til the end of wrath and hence my ending with wow.
I don't think it's entirely true that demo locks don't scale well. I know everything always depends but consider with bis gear, icc bosses will last between 2-3mins then the output of metamorphosis will be huge and the -25% phase of drain soul will not be so huge. Also a lot of icc bosses have adds that you can get decimation procs from (almost all bosses but Blood Queen, Rotface) and although I agree you won't bring more than one to a raid it'll probably be down the melee bossing it rather than demo not stacking well in late game. I'm very jealous of you playing demo in wotlk and I think you'll be very content with the play-style and how much you can cheat damage procs
"demo is typically a 1 of specialisation" it was, cause raidbuff could be overwritten. that was changed and you can stack them now without any problems. so 1/5 stackability is wrong. also destro 3/5 early is wrong
I play a Demo warlock right now and I'm gonna be honest. I don't think Affliction is gonna out-do Demo. I'm interested to see which spec takes the top spot.
@@orange3623 its only support because people suck, and you have to actually put some effort to use soul fire in some fights that even on low gear it makes absolute bonkers damage
I don't get why hunters seem to be so unpopular going into Wrath, I know fotm andys who rolled hunter for TBC are DKs and paladins now but still. The class is decent in PvP, decent in PvE and survival is easily one of the most fun specs in the entire game. But hey, since people are fotm rolling plate classes, it's more loot for hunters.
The fotmers are retarded then, ret paladins are ok until they get get to icc then they become really good, and dks are just a solid class not broken op neitheir dogshit. Hunters are on the same boat pretty much.
on LK you need to actually make some effort to top the meters, but you will get rolled by warriors and fire mages regardless, really fun spec to play MM hunter
Every old log you can find shows arcane outdamaging fire in ICCn (!) while boasting a huge spread in its dps distribution on the bell curve ( basically, you try to learn how much a top 5000 player is worse than a top 50 player percent-wise and compare that to other classes' distribution. Conventional wisdom says 'the smaller the spread, the easier a class is to play as more people can do it at that higher level' ). This means two things: 1. Arcane will rather likely be the best dps spec for mages that can consistently log 99 and break the top 3000 or so FOR THE WHOLE EXPANSION. This will almost certainly come to pass for normal 25 man difficulty - if you trust the old logs. If you don't everything is open for debate. We've yet to see 25 man heroic kill times in 2022 so it's nigh impossible to make fair judgements on that front, but we do have enough 25 man normal logs to at least gauge some classes' power levels in normal mode ( which of course goes into arcane's favor with faster kill times ). 2. Arcane is a much harder spec to play than people think it is if you want to haul your behind into 99 territory. Wide spreads always mean larger skill gaps between the players, which can be traced back to higher requirements.
Was a survival main in original Wrath. God I loved it. And best part was I ended up get complimented by a top hunter main for the server. He whispered me off a fight initially looking to see why my dps wasn’t as high as his. had him inspect me and his realization that I was way below item level just barely qualified to run icc he gave me major props for keeping up and being 3rd in dps. On most fights. I told him I hoped I could hit as hard as he could if not harder when I finally got some better gear. So many great memories from then. Just can’t bring myself to jump back into wow. Quit after hitting 90 in MoP and doing the first raid. Just wasn’t into the story nor the story going forward. They butchered my love of the Horde with bad writing and goofy plots.
I've quit and come to wow multiple times. And the allure of classic and tbc classic didn't bring me back. I'd sworn off for good.....ugh I might come back for Wrath classic....I might. I miss my demonology warlock....
I really wouldn't call it boring. You have 2 different DoTs and certain rules on when to use them correctly, and you frequently change your main filler spell thanks to Eclipse. You have Starfire with slow casts but big crits, and Wrath which is the ultimate machine gun spell. It's certainly more complex and fun to play than, say, arcane mages or elemental shaman. Then again, fun is subjective. Some people just won't like it and that's okay.
@@astralfields You have two different dots that you don't have to have 100% uptime on, and the one button you press changes due to a proc. They are def grouped w/ arcane mage/ele shaman in simplicity to play.
@@jeffwarren6520 In later phases you dont even use insect swarm, you only use it while moving as a filler. Since a wrath/starfire will do more damage by then and you can put those 3 points towards other talents like treants and owlkin frenzy
Going to say on Affliction Lock wise... private server numbers were often doubled in HP than original numbers. Aff lock was stacked because of how long the execute phase was and come WOTLK classic launch soon, execution phases are gunna be shorter and shorter, and it wouldnt surprise me if arcane is instead stacked. Alot of this "Knowledge" is coming from private server players whove played on content that is way way harder than anything we're going to go against as numbers were all out right adjusted in those servers for difficulty. Fights are going to be shorter, I forsee Fire only being level with Arcane and not better than it coming into ICC. Arcane will always be better than fire in shorter fights, and if anything is to be learned from TBC, arcane isnt going anywhere again aswell. Arcanes ability to adapt to fight lengths and dump their mana pool on shorter fights is just always gunna be on a whole nother level. Maybe in first few weeks aff lock and prog groups is going to be really vital, but past that I'm certain theyre going to fall off as each tier progresses to speed running.
Youre trippin boomies are absolute BEASTS in WotLK PVP; DKs Warriors Paladins cant do anything when I pop off with Starfall dot them all entangling roots them and kite them while healing up.
The problem with BM is all these streamers saying that is bad. Our pets get so many buffs on a 25 man raid which makes them really decent. As long as we keep them alive we are set.
Tbh although I agree with almost all points, the stacking on firemage and spriest isnt really accurate. Fmages are stacked on hightier raids, since they are the top dps spec. And spriests are also very stackable, since their groupheal really helps any raid. In addition, warlocks arent really that good in icc, they fall off and in general are lacking dps in comparision to other ranges (fmages, hunter, boomkin)
Erm, warlocks do WHAT? Affliction will still be top. Probably best caster. Firemage and hunter do come close and might pass wl on some fights, but as soon, as it comes to better players and harder encounters, wl exceeds again, cuz well... Firemage has no skill requirement at all on 100% crit. On top: wl can get funneled by tricks (Always) and pi (in execute). That does not happen to the other Specs. I do agree with the priest thing though.
well and again too bad that blizz dont take the chance to bring specs like frost mage or ele sham closer to the others that they can be used from ppl that love them :(
I'd agree with most of this except for the scaling of some of those specs at the end : - Shadow priest scales surprisingly well, it's not easy to play and not top tier but it doesn't drop off. Also its passive healing is great and stacking some can be useful to absorb stuff (like on the lich king phase3) - Affliction lock is top tier at the end, but it requires a good player and quite a lot of min maxing in terms of gameplay/potions/buffs. - The top pick at the end will definitely be fire mage. From early t9 they get enough crit and they are super easy to play, so your raid will usually be stacking them instead of affliction unless you have a lot of skilled lock players. On bis gear fire mage is broken AF, probably the top single target dps in the game (tied with fury warrior ?) And also BM hunter is playable, it's just a bit bad compared to the other hunter specs. If well optimized it does enough damage to be barely viable, it's not useless like frost mage.
I don't know where you have seen Shadow scale well tbh. We are without a doubt at our strongest (relative to Mages and Locks) in t7. Yeah, we scale better than Boomkins once they hit their very low softcaps, and we always scale better than Ele Shamans, but Mages, Locks and Hunters outscale us HARD, as do all the relevant Melee specs. Shadow always had high base numbers with shit scaling. It was like that in TBC and Wotlk. In Cata we had really HIGH base numbers with shit scaling, which made us S tier in t11 and really strong in t12, but we eventually got outscaled in t13. In MoP we even got the pleasure of having LOW base numbers with shit scaling. The pain of having rank 1# Shadow on Malkorok 25HC while barely being middle of the pack in my own raid still burns. It was only in WoD and later that Shadow got the insane scaling we are known for in retail, because that's when we started getting resource generation tied to DoT crits. Kind of funny how they removed what Fury Warriors and Mages were known for from their own classes, and gave those same endless scaling mechanics to Shadow...

I kinda think players dog ele shaman to much about the scaling thing. Do they do as much damage themselves in the late phase NO. BUT with all the buffs they give to other casters DPS if that counted towards the ele shaman DPS they would be 1 imo.
Their buffs are easily gotten from better specs, this isnt tbc, the vast majority of buffs are raidwide and ele shamans while they do provide a lot of buffs in the grand scheme of things It will only make a noticeable difference in 10m and irrelevant in 25.
You are way wrong on Boomkins there is no way they are scaling 4 and this coming from someone that plays them they are middle of the road dps the whole expansion.
the ratings are trash bala easy 5 stars utility crit aura, haste aura, target hit% innervate cb druid buff, easily the best caster to get most buffs in 10man raids
I don't know where everyone gets their data from but clearly they haven't played BM yet because on a 25 man raid is on par with survival. It falls off after ulduar. But hey ho that's life.

You undervalued the utility of destruction warlock. On top of warlocks’ available utility, destro brings replenishment and improved imp which are pretty important buffs to have going.
Ele is easily the most fun class to play imo. Fire has also been really good in the pre patch so far.
for me its easily mm hunter :)
About BM Hunter PVE:
You can tame "tank" pet and solo kill bosses on lower lvl DUNGEONS and RAIDS to farm mounts, sets or whatever. It's one of the rare specs that could do that and i find it super fun. ^^
It's gonna be tough to keep my hands off my warlock alt. I just have to keep reminding myself that they're great throughout the expansion.
Really enjoyed the content in this video. Thank you for all the care and attention you put into it
Spriest will always be my most fun class
I am seriously considering Shadow Priest because I think I will be sad if I don’t; I played Shadow back in Wrath original, and it was always my favorite iteration of the spec.
During Classic I enjoyed my Spriest the most (specially in PvP), but then I left the game for TBC. I'm sure going to try out WotLK at start and will focus on my Spriest again. Once a Spriest, always a Spriest 😈
Survival hunter is the most fun to play of all the specs imo.

I played a destruction warlock back in WotLK. Was consistetly top 3 in guild raid dps. People suggested to respeck to demonology, but it just felt off, I was never able to play it as intended, ending up with just a slightly higher dps, so I switched back.
sadly people were not that great back in the day and Destro will fall hard i would top charts on my ele every fight but not gonna see that again
You can't look at back in the day as a reference people did their own specs and own ideas for the most part now even average players follow BiS lists and talent rotation guides etc
Back in wrath I would play unholy dk with the wrong glyphs doing the wrong openers with the wrong spec and was still one of the top3 dpsers of my guild back in the day people were legit smoothbrained and theorycrafting wasnt nearly as popular so most information availiable was subpar nowadays that shit wont fly at all. Players are smarter and class discords are an Alexandrian library of knowledge if you top meters as destro in wrath classic it just means your guild is nothing but a bunch of dogshit casuals.
Back in the day, nobody could realistically defeat heroic 25 man LK unbuffed
Nowadays, i am sure they will absolutely DESTROY him probably with 20 people half of them in blue dungeon gear
Arcane has always been on the easier side? Out of the casters in TBCC it has been still revolving around planning mana usage. Like frost was literally 1 button rotation, and so was fire kinda but with keeping scorch up
Arcane has always been simpleton material :D
@@Ingu.z uhhh... were you using arcane before getting T5 2set? Because arcane kinda needs that set bonus and a decent gear level to start with. Mages in my guild just played fire until they had the gear to make the switch.
Spriest is gonna surprise some ppl I feel. They will scale better than most casters and are doing way better than predicted in beta
I noticed that watching some beta raids and even raiding sunwell in pre patch, I’ve seen our spriest do insane DPS in every fight. And then coming across one in PVP, once they get all their dots up on you it’s game over.
They don’t. I raided spriest in OG wotlk and in ICC. We do good but we still will be middle of the pack dps
I swapped from dk to spreist in icc and no one could get near me in dps. Shadow is rediculas in the right hands.
@@niksmo1682 no offense but you must have played with poopers. Shadow did well, but could not compete with other classes. I raided ICC mainly on spriest and had my moments where I was number 1 dps but it was not consistent. Spriest and boomkins are B tier dps. Maybe B+ later in ICC

I thought destro had a replenishment effect correct me if I'm wrong. I feel like it should've been mentioned
Frost Mage, Survival Hunter and Retri Pala also
Yeah, but the Replenishment talent for Destro is kinda shit, and put in a weird place in the tree.

@@heygek2769 Myabe, but even skillscapped sess otherwise tho
Nothing got complexity 5 rating. why have a 5 star rating system if you don't use the maximum amount of stars? One of them has to be the most complex
Love the honesty 😂 more people need to be like you buddy
Have fun!
I wouldn't worry about not knowing much, Classic is fairly simple and doesn't require too much thought. welcome to the game though! :D

Frostfire mages are pretty good early with low gear. Even better (and simpler) than arcane.
Maybe it's just me but I'd have thought that a spec that is simple to play would get a higher rating in complexity because it's easier to get the most out of and less likely to make a mess of things.
1-70 frost, then changed to fire for wotlk. I'm 78 and I've felt OP at all times. Sorry, tanks!
U missed a warlock hybrid spec which is good mid expansion it is a half demo half destro spec anyways nice video ❤
Im sure back in Og Wrath come season 7-8 every mage in the arena ladder was arcane
You mean in terms of dps? It absolutely does, demo is a support spec for raiding
@@orange3623 its only support because people suck, and you have to actually put some effort to use soul fire in some fights that even on low gear it makes absolute bonkers damage

This means two things:
I miss my demonology warlock....
balance druid 4/5 utility? huh? you forgot about the 13% spellpower they give the raid too. they are utility kings. boring af to play though.
@@astralfields you can't say wrath is the ultimate machine gun spell when elemental shammies exist with their endless streams of lightning bolts.
@@astralfields You have two different dots that you don't have to have 100% uptime on, and the one button you press changes due to a proc. They are def grouped w/ arcane mage/ele shaman in simplicity to play.

Shadow is so fun but you really need to focus
On paper BM could be legit in naxx with 2pce and the shoulders from hyjal.
dope video wille !
well and again too bad that blizz dont take the chance to bring specs like frost mage or ele sham closer to the others that they can be used from ppl that love them :(
the most buffed spec for pvp is by far prot warrior, it's not even close
WillE sleeping a bit on spriest scaling, scale incredibly well, will be by far in its weakest state in t7 which also has garbage set bonuses
I'd agree with most of this except for the scaling of some of those specs at the end :
- Shadow priest scales surprisingly well, it's not easy to play and not top tier but it doesn't drop off. Also its passive healing is great and stacking some can be useful to absorb stuff (like on the lich king phase3)
- Affliction lock is top tier at the end, but it requires a good player and quite a lot of min maxing in terms of gameplay/potions/buffs.
- The top pick at the end will definitely be fire mage. From early t9 they get enough crit and they are super easy to play, so your raid will usually be stacking them instead of affliction unless you have a lot of skilled lock players. On bis gear fire mage is broken AF, probably the top single target dps in the game (tied with fury warrior ?)
And also BM hunter is playable, it's just a bit bad compared to the other hunter specs.
The best casters in wrath are the most fun ones boomie and ele sham

Scorch spam fire mage ftw
I was out dpsing MM hunters with better gear as survival in ICC 25. I remember all the whispers asking me how? 😂
Players are smarter and class discords are an Alexandrian library of knowledge if you top meters as Survival in wrath classic it just means your guild is nothing but a bunch of dogshit casuals.
