Have you tried the IBIS on a modern Lumix camera? they seem to have a variety of settings to tune. a lot of people are pretty happy with it. They seem to be the king of the hill in this space.
Nice review. I'm picking this up for a lighter setup to my zve1 setup. I've never had the zve1 overheat on me and I shoot outside in Florida :) I tend to use Catalyst Browse just to get super smooth footage possible with no gimbals. I just need the lightest setup possible.

zv-e1 does not overheat in normal conditions (unless it's 4K60 or 4K120fps). I had it running for +2 hours (powered over usb-c) and it did not overheat while recording on SD card AND sending HDMI out to capture card

I have a X100vi that I love for photography but not so much for video. I love the color science & was debating selling for XS-20 & 16-50 kit lens. This is such a deal maybe I’ll just get this for video & vlogs
Sony ZEV10 ii or FX30? Im mainly shooting cinematic type reels of myself (tripod or my wife shoots me). Shakiness is always a concern… is the IBIS even worth it?
IBIS is helpful for small movements, not big movements. I think you can do it all with the ZV-E10 II, but if you want a more versatile and durable system, I’d recommend the FX30.
@@WIIMTheMusician Definitely the perfect middle ground! You're missing some of the cine-focused features (e.g., internal fan, shutter angle, anamorphic de-squeeze preview, etc.), but IMO it's a fantastic camera that produces fantastic results and none of the missing features make it any less powerful of a camera/sensor :)
I'd say the Insta360 x4 isthe best camera for creators. It's half the price too. And doesn't look like a camera.
I can definitely see that being the case in certain scenarios! I've seen content creators produce sick edits, vlogs, etc. on IG with just the X4. Obviously you'd be limited by focal length, aperture, etc., but it's a viable route for sure!
Agree about the Insta360. I have the X3 and love it. Being on a boat for a lot of my footage it’s the only camera that would work. I also have the Osmo Pocket 3 and that is amazing with its facial tracking when rocking on a boat. I’m not a professional so I’m thinking about trying my 12 year old HandyCam with 30x optical zoom to postpone the financial pain. 😊
I said that it depends on what you plan on shooting, like in most cases "it depends" is the best answer without knowing exactly what you're trying to achieve. If you're looking to capture "cinematic" footage with a variety of focal lengths, getting effects like background compression or bokeh (blurry background), then a camera with interchangeable lenses will be your best bet, and the ZV-E10 II fills that role really well considering how good the sensor is. But, if you're just planning on capturing clips here and there or don't mind the limitation of only having a single focal length, then the DJI OP3 ends up being a fantastic option while coming in at a really good price.
Considering cameras for my RUclips work. Mostly stationary video pointed at circuit boards, components, etc. Is this overkill or would this be a good camera for that purpose?
The autofocus is supreme. I had to redo too many you tube videos on my Lumix GH5 because they were out of focus. This Sony solved the problem. Shooting it only from my desk means I don't need the IBIS or viewfinder on the a6700. And I have other cameras for carry-around. Overheating in 4K? I don't need 4K because you tube is 720p.
Hey! So I just got a new zve10 idk if it’s broke but I can’t see anything!! Like when trying to take a picture or video it’s almost black. I can’t even see myself!
Alright, troubleshooting mode: ON. What shooting mode are you shooting in? Are you new or experienced (e.g., do you know how to shoot in manual, etc?) If you want to check really quickly to make sure it's not the camera, throw it in Intelligent Auto mode, and see if things look normal.
That's the beauty of it. It's beginner friendly enough to be someone's first camera, but it's powerful enough to match shots with something like the FX30!
If you’re mainly looking for video quality, I would go with the FX30 if you want the best video camera overall or the ZV-E10 II if you want to save some money and get similar image quality but deal with it being slightly more beginner oriented, out of that list. DJI Pocket 3 is a fantastic camera, but like you said, your biggest goal is to get out there, create, and share your work! As you bump up against the limitations of your gear, that's when you need to pick up some extra gear, but otherwise, create, create, create!
Objectively, I think the FX30 is better if you're looking for all of the features that make creating incredible images as easy and efficient as possible. But, I'd argue you could just about produce the same images with either camera, given the fact that they share basically the same sensor. If you're looking to produce content for yourself and want to save some money, then go with the ZV-E10II, if you're producing content for clients and want less potential headaches, I would go for the Sony FX30.
The Sony 10-18 f/4 has always been a fantastic vlogging lens! For concerts however, you'll probably benefit from something with a wider aperture if they're dark indoor concerts/evening concerts.
So, I want to make commentary videos/ reaction videos and stream. I am a beginner and I feel like this would be a great choice. But I also feel like the zve1 is amazing because it has the AI thing going for it and can get more subjects to track(I plan to make content with friends as well.) how many subjects can this camera track in comparison to the zve1 and do you think it’s a good idea for me to get this one or the zve1. Also, do you think Black Friday will be good for the sales or should I wait for the beginning of the year when they will undoubtedly reveal another camera? Thanks in advance bro
My wife wants to make makeup videos, it will be her doing makeup on herself and talking through. All indoor shoot, with duly controlled lighting. Is this camera the right choice for such videos or should I look at a6700 or a7 Ilce ?
If she’s going to have control over lighting, the ZV-E10 II should be a solid choice that’ll leave you more room in your budget for a good lens (that’ll make a big difference in the final result)-for her use case, if she doesn’t need a super wide angle lens, I’d recommend something like the Sony E 35mm f/1.8 OSS.
Since APS-C has a 1.5x when compared to Full Frame, the 35mm on the ZV-E10 II will look like a 50mm on a full-frame camera, so I would get that lens for your “portrait” looking shots. If you want a wider lens for vlogging, check out the Sony E 11mm f/1.8!
Thanks for the video buddy, how have you set the guidelines please it is almost 2 months that I am trying to do it but it looks since my channelnis set in Italian on my pc I do not have this voice. Is please there out any RUclips help center? Thanks
Nice. Do you think making some tips for this camera? I bought for travel, milky way, astro but low light partie too. I worry for banding with Led. 1.what about xenon flash for this? It freezes frame? 2. What you think about Sony 11mm 1.8 for milky way and interior, kit 16-50 for all day and Tamron 16-300 for travels?
Thanks! To answer your questions: 1) Unfortunately, banding will happen with certain types of LEDs, and since this camera does not have a mechanical shutter, there's nothing we can do about it, except to shoot with that in mind. 2) I'm unfamiliar with that flash, but if you're referring to an external flash for photography, you'll be able to sync with the camera but it won't allow you to get super high shutter speeds. 3) That's a great line-up of lenses! The Sony 11mm f/1.8 is a great lens for general use!
Take a look at the Sigma 16mm f/1.4, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, and Sigma 56mm f/1.4. I reviewed those lenses a long time ago but they’re still fantastic budget options. For you I feel like 16 and 30mm would be the focal lengths you’d get the most use out of.
I think that's a good choice! If in the scenario you do run into overheating, you can always address it pretty cheaply with an attached fan/etc. but for a stationary shot, you're getting a fantastic sensor for the price.
Please help me to choose between ZV-E1. Or ZV-E10 ii I want the best one for Reels and TikTok videos Because I only use vertical videos to my clients Before that i was use my iPhone
If it didn’t come with a kit lens, you’ll need to pick one up to use it. If you want some very budget friendly options, I recommend checking out my video on the Viltrox 20mm video ($159 lens that’s pretty good)
You will need a lens to take photos/record video, but it doesn't have to be the zoom lens it comes with, as long as you're using a compatible Sony E mount lens.
Overall what is the best camera for beginner vloggers all while being able to produce good video quality? I've seen people recommend the Insta360, Dji Pocket 3, Sony Alpha ZV-E10, Sony ZV1 II 20.1, and the Sony Alpha 6100.
Not sure why no one has answered you yet but the DJI OA 4, Insta360 Ace Pro, Insta360 X4 are the best action cameras. Lumix S5 for best IBIS, Canon R10 & R50 are also good cheaper alternatives. Sony ZV-E10 II is best for still videography. You can also get its predecessor ZV-E10 for a cheaper price tag but if you wanna use it as a webcam you need to have a capture card. Hope this helps 👍🏻
@@formateurpremium you don't but it will be at 720p for the original ZV-E10. Still looks decent for 720p but it's better to use a capture card to utilize the higher resolution on the camera
I love the content, I would like to ask a camera question to anyone who knows, I recently bought 2 Sony ZVE10 cameras, after recording video, to transfer you are required to either remove the storage to transfer or disable PC REMOTE to enable mass storage, this seems like a pain since I have camera directly connected to my PC. Is there a way without getting up for each camera after shooting and change settings to transfer the video files. Maybe a special duel memory card adaptor or anything, even my old camera did not need this...please help, anyone.
iirc, it just has a battery and a USB-C cable, so you would need to purchase your own charging station (they're pretty cheap on Amazon from third-parties)
Something like this (amzn.to/49jDVVi) which comes with 2 additional batteries of a product like this (amzn.to/4icrBdA) if you're looking for a portable charger
Please help out! I create fitness content across all platforms. I need to camera with good photos as well good videos. Between Sony a7c and Sony zv e10 ii which of these is best for the job???
Personally I think the a7C II will serve you best, fantastic photo camera, shoots great videos, and is full-frame (better lowlight and more shallow depth of field/blurry background), trade off is that full frame lenses are typically larger/more expensive, but there are good budget options out there. But you really won’t go wrong with that or the ZV-E10 II
If you want to get the a7 IV, I may push you towards the ZV-E1 as a starter camera first. It's more expensive BUT it's full-frame, meaning you can get full-frame lenses from the start to build that kit. Then, once you do get your a7 IV, you can always use them as A/B cams for each other if necessary with less hassle. I've mixed and matched APS-C w/ Full-Frame footage and it's fine, but it's a lot easier when it's FF to FF or APS-C to APS-C.
Heavily depends on ambient temperature, but honestly a little camera fan + opening out the flip screen and opening the battery door might just let it run for a pretty long time-wish I could give you a more concrete answer!
Recycled plastic, really? For a expensive camera, a durable item such as this, I expect virgin materials. That's a cheap, negative value feature. So is it thermoplastic or thermoset (I hope)?

Take a look at the Sigma 16mm f/1.4, Sigma 30mm f/1.4, and Sigma 56mm f/1.4. I reviewed those lenses a long time ago but they’re still fantastic budget options. For you I feel like 16 and 30mm would be the focal lengths you’d get the most use out of.
@@DavidZhou Thanks man! Also, should I get a gimbal right? For zv e10 ii stabilization
which lens will good to buy with it as creator see most of time I record videos but sometime photos also
Sony a6700 or zve10markii? I want to have one camera to do it all. Photo and video both
I think you’ll be happier with the a6700-fantastic camera and you’ll be happier that you have an EVF for when you want or need it!
Add one thing to overheating, buy a cooling fan for those cameras. Cheap.
I back this haha, I'm not sure why some people get so upset about tossing a cooling fan on to bandaid the overheating problem.
a 1080 25ffps ccual es su bitrate máximo 100M?
Is there any video on internet between Sony ZV-E 10 ii vs sony ZV 1 ii. I can’t find it ?
WHAT IF i just want to use this for my podcast?
I think that's a good choice! If in the scenario you do run into overheating, you can always address it pretty cheaply with an attached fan/etc. but for a stationary shot, you're getting a fantastic sensor for the price.
@@DavidZhou Thanks.
Please help me to choose between ZV-E1. Or ZV-E10 ii
I want the best one for Reels and TikTok videos
Because I only use vertical videos to my clients
Before that i was use my iPhone
So do you think you could do hour long video conferencing with this or will it overheat?
@@Princeton_James just have to change a setting in the settings to allow it to shoot for extended amount of time
is it good enough for the simplest of beginner moviemaking? especially if i crop the 4k to a 2.35:1 for the sake of it...
Oh absolutely, you’ll love the image quality and the flexibility of S-Log3
Hey I am not familiar with tech but I just got this camera as a gift, am I able to use it without purchasing a lens?
If it didn’t come with a kit lens, you’ll need to pick one up to use it. If you want some very budget friendly options, I recommend checking out my video on the Viltrox 20mm video ($159 lens that’s pretty good)
Thank you!
wanna ask, if buy the body without zoom lens still can take phot / record video?
You will need a lens to take photos/record video, but it doesn't have to be the zoom lens it comes with, as long as you're using a compatible Sony E mount lens.
I want to listen to the specs and the 80s music in the background is very distracting. Kind feedback for those of us with ADD. Thank you.
Thanks for the feedback!
@@skullblaster360 I think it doesn't need a capture card with the Sony Edge something software
@@formateurpremium you don't but it will be at 720p for the original ZV-E10. Still looks decent for 720p but it's better to use a capture card to utilize the higher resolution on the camera
@@skullblaster360 Oh, so it couldn't be 4k (or at least 1080p) with the software? Sucks
Is there a charger in the box?
iirc, it just has a battery and a USB-C cable, so you would need to purchase your own charging station (they're pretty cheap on Amazon from third-parties)
Something like this (amzn.to/49jDVVi) which comes with 2 additional batteries of a product like this (amzn.to/4icrBdA) if you're looking for a portable charger
Is it mirrorless ?
@@_4ms yes

yeah thanks mate . I bought it before 2 weeks ago it's very cool.
Is this a good camera for beginners learning to shoot music videos and vlogs?
100%
@@DavidZhou thank you!
❤❤I want to buy a7mark 4 and I am saving money for that so should I buy this zv10m2 for smaller youtube and travelling videos please reply bro

So this may not be good for podcasting shooting for 60 minutes at a time? The overheating is scaring me.
Heavily depends on ambient temperature, but honestly a little camera fan + opening out the flip screen and opening the battery door might just let it run for a pretty long time-wish I could give you a more concrete answer!

Same sensor from the fx30 !? In my knowledge fx30 has a 20mp sensor 🙄not a 26mp !!
It has a 26MP sensor, that samples down to 20MP for video. Which is the same sensor (with maybe an exception of small differences) in the ZV-E10 II.
$3,900 for an FX3 is a solution?
Where's the evf?😢
Unfortunately no EVF :(

Recycled plastic, really? For a expensive camera, a durable item such as this, I expect virgin materials. That's a cheap, negative value feature. So is it thermoplastic or thermoset (I hope)?
we need internal fans for sony. 20 years of sony problem- overheat. canon? no overheat
