I've done this type of boring on my Honda Amigo PF 50. I held the cylinder in the mandrel by the bottom of the sleeve. Boring the cylinder was relalatively easy, but the most challenging task was to adjust the clearance between the piston and the cylinder to be constant all over the length of the bore. I had to adjust between 5/100 and 7/100 mm, and it took a lot of time. But in the end, it worked flawlessly. In the video, we can see the piston is too tight. No honing, no cross hatch. This piston is gonna seize, as many noticed!
As far as engine building I could be considered a beginner as I've done a hand full of rebuilds, but seeing him have to use TWO THUMBS to push a bare piston without rings down the bore made me cringe soo hard! had this man never learned of thermal expansion or just how critical piston-to-bore clearances are?

For true accuracy, he should have drilled the holes in the fixture on the lathe. When making a fixture, the best practice is to never remove the fixture until you have finished all of your machining. If you do, you need to chuck it in a 4 jaw chuck, and true it with dial indicators. I just demonstrated this to a friend a couple of days ago. I had made a holding fixture to shorten some VW cylinders to lesson the piston deck height. After I had done this I told him to watch the fixture. I pulled it out of the three jaw chuck, and put it right back in. Turned the lathe on, and you could see that the fixture was no longer spinning true in the lathe.

Can i make from 50cc to 150cc ?
Вот так технологии 😄
Takie toczenie to tylko w Bangladeszu lub Indiach.W Polsce jest honowanie.Prowizorka i..popękane bloki silnika....
Поршень должен опускается под своим весам.
Masakra ta naprawa to nie ma prawa po zamontowaniu działać 👿☹️
making the threaded holes in the ring should be done before facing
Little bit tight
🤣😂yo 🤣 fun to watch cause i like seing machines go but that could NOT have run . its not straight and not round . thats why the piston kept jamming.and WOW that hone was the worst. old skool. no wonder bikes sieved regularly back in the day. i remember having 2strokes seizing back in my day. too tight anyway ,but nice to have a big machine like that tho
First thing you don't do to the surface is to use a file, lapping is need to do the surfaces.
super işçilik 25 yıl bende tornacılık yaptım tebrık ederım sızı
He seems to be doing everything right, but not correctly. The piston stroke is checked through the cylinder skirt and not from the valve head. The piston is always checked through the cylinder skirt, but where is the thermal gap? And where is hom?
hoe verneuk je een cylinder?
Это сильно плотно, прихватит сразу же, прикатывай, не прикатывай.
En 5 minutos después de arrancar se le pega el pistón
so I wouldn't let this demented person repair even a bicycle chain
Creative video, thank you :)
