Man, you've really stepped up the dialogue.
Yes, it is some kind of new philosophy that stunned me. In all MMX original games, Mavericks were Reploids that wanted to rebel against Humans because these were weak and inferior to them. And in this game, it seems that they decided to rebel because they saw humans' true face, and so question their loyalty to protect people that has some bad thinking such as humans. Dr. Light did take measures in order to stop bad robots, but what about bad humans ? Interesting concept ! It might be a MMX9 for this originality !

@@arctorusmedia It's not new, but I like the idea of it being explored in a Mega Man X game. I'm interested to see what Strike's motives are and how they connected to the goals of the Mavericks (who are probably working for him.).

Tons of concepts have been done to death before, but it's the execution that matters. And Corrupted has the potential to execute the idea of humans being hated for their selfishness, in a well executed manner. What are you going on about?

It's interesting how simple lighting can drastically increase the asthetic when it comes to 2d games, making the lower crystal cave area look amazing.
Seriously, this looks like the X game I always wanted. Visually, it takes the art style I loved about X1-3 and pumps it up with the modern power and technology available.
Props for consistently killing your own bosses at 1 HP, it generates hype
This absolutely looks amazing. I cherished Mega Man X as a kid and can remember my mother referring to it as Mega Man 10.

These kinds of comments really piss me off anymore, Capcom has been bringing swift justice to fans, DMC5, Monster Hunter World, DMC4SE, RE2, Megaman, X, Zero/ZX collections, Megaman 11, Megaman X Dive, Teppen, RE2 Remake, RE7. Do us all a favor and suck a nut, Capcom has had their head firmly ripped from the ass after the finally coming to terms with the Inafune bullshit which if you dont know cost them fucking millions while this dude cut and ran during his fucking vacation time.

It's nice to support and admire fangame-creators, but yes, I get what you mean.
People tend to completely forget that Capcom is the owner of Mega Man, which is a character created by former Capcom employee Keiji Inafune.
*Actually, edit: Turns out there's a split belief that Inafune or Kitamura created him. The principle still stands, nonetheless, no matter whom of the two created Mega Man.*
It's a large stretch to give full credit to fan projects that are using their work, as if it all belongs to the project creator(s) while shooting down Capcom. I see people doing that multiple times each video.
I mean sure, you can edit the sprites and such, but in the end it's still Mega Man.
Of course, though, I get ruthlessly attacked each time I point any of this out.

@@vodaz9109 See, the reason people give Capcom shit here is that the last Mega Man X game came out in 2004, and if not getting a game in a franchise so good is a crime then Capcom is closing in on TWO DECADES of felonies. Everyone has waited patiently for JKB here because no one else is even fucking trying. They may own the rights, but one inclusion in shitty MvC:I doesn't damn count. So yeah, some of us might be salty if told, for example, to "suck a nut", because while Capcom is focusing on raking in money hand over fist with Monster Hunter World (which is admittedly good), they've left fans of one of their best franchises to wither on the vine. Don't get me wrong, MM11 was pretty good, I enjoyed it just fine, but the X series has done nothing but languished in the meantime. This fan creation is going to be the closest we get.

I'm only a teenager, but I remember that my Dad showed me this when I was about six... Still excited, Mega Man X is my favorite game ever.
I remember I first saw this in 2011/2012. I was like 18/19 at the time. Still got hype for when it finally comes out

Since then I've been in love with Mega Man games ever since aside Mega Man Soccer...
Now you must show the promo videos to your son in turn, and he must grow into a man waiting to play Mega Man X: Corrupted. Each generation teaches the next to honor the tradition and preserve it, in an unbroken chain stretching back before the dawn of AI.

It seems Megaman X become much more like a Metroid game now. I like it.
First you draw a round helmet, then a arm cannon, you hide armor upgrades and life upgrades around the world and finish with a great ost. Who you get? Megaman/Metroid.
Mega man ZX was a Metroidvania but it wasn’t the best as one. Hears hoping this works better.

@@sergiomendoza5165 The reason I make the SoRR comparison is that it was a game that gave the fans everything they could have ever wanted AND MORE. Every Playable Character, every Stage, every Boss, all redone to a higher standard and incorporating NEW characters, stages bosses, music, enemies, cutscenes, customization, etc. And it all WORKED. an 8 year labor of love from a dedicated few to make the SoR game we all deserved if SEGA wasn't going to do it themselves. I can see that same drive in this project.

Good god. The classic armors can be mixed and matched. And here I thought that was only restricted to the Phoenix/Hydra set. Also excellent work on those portraits. Major improvements from the last time I saw it.
I was already happy with the Hydra and Phoenix armours, the fact that JKB went the extra mile and added the X1/X2/X3 armours shows just how much _effort_ is being put into this game. And yes, the portraits look amazing.
@@marcellosilva9286 yes, this is a lovely detail. I already knew he was using X armor as a nice token and even tested the hadouken on previous steams.
But seeing this disparate mishmashed X2/X3 thing really took me by surprise. And this already had the X4/X5 ultimate armor. This game is badass. I wonder if he's going to include the golden X3 one.
I don't think he'll include the X5 and X4 armors tho. Those weren't that memorable.
@@Koraxus I liked the Gaea Armour from X5, too bad it limited movement so much, if it was somehow included in this, it better make up for that very well.

Bill Lee I hear it twice often. Must be two level ups at once. I find it a bit odd honestly.
This sound is really lvl up, look to Health Bar, a Green Line below indicates the XP bar, but I don't know if this is really a lvl up or a skill point.
Wellington da Cruz both, if I remember correctly. You can use the skill points from leveling up to upgrade your skill tree on either X or Zero
The xp curve is not tuned yet so the miniboss gave me 2 levels.
I can't wait for this spin-off to come to dreamcast! Man, living in 1999 is radical!

Mega Man 11 has recently sold 1 million copies which is a milestone achievement. That means X9 is likely to be inevitable in the future. But in the meantime, this fangame is more interesting when it comes to Mega Man X game.
Loved the Rafflar dialogue. I’m reminded of Ultron, who instantly hated humanity and saw that we don’t acknowledge the damage we do to the world. That aside, I still wish he could have been convinced to become our ally. That is not in his character though.
I wonder what dialouge Strike will take. Maybe he could be like Vile or Ultron.

What an amazing update, classic armors and functions, the interface looks awesome and the art work of X and the bosses (yes) are wonderful. The fact that you can create the mecha with its original parts or combining them it's the perfection from what we saw back in MMX3. I hope you guys have the time, the resources, the strength, the will, and the support you all need.

It looks stunning, I mean, it actually feels like a SNES game! On top of that, I love the Metroidvania structure.

I mean, ZX is amazing, and at that time metroidvanias had died down, plus ZX was their first metroidvania, ZXA took that concept and refined it, making a good metroidvania with an actual damn map.
The first time I saw the project I thought it'd be a regular MMX game, what a lovely surprise to see an MMX game in metroidvania format.

This has gone beyond my expectations, now only to make this playable on other consoles, not only pc. Them the release would be a dream come true.
Having a worldmap makes me remember roguelike games... I like this stuff, it is just so good. Im excited about this masterpiece!
Caramba Khalil....eu pensei que não era possível melhorar a fórmula desse seu jogo...daí você coloca o cara pra misturar as partes do Robôs que a gente controla também...daí depois aquele menu absolutamente lindo das armaduras que podem ser misturadas...daí até a foto do Megaman quando entramos no meno geral ficou perfeita (refletindo os momentos que ele tá com o HP baixo inclusive).....cara...cê vai matar o pessoal de vontade de jogar....Capcom...pelo amor de Deus...licencia esse jogo...transforma em canônico logo...nunca que você faria um jogo melhor do que esse pro Megaman X em 2D.

@@Otavio23BR Ele programou usando o Flash...isso quando eu ainda o via trabalhando no projeto (há uns 12 anos ele mora nos EUA). No caso, depois chegou gente que sabe desenhar pra ajudar...daí ele foi agregando sprites legais de jogos até do PS....

Não é oficial, a questão é que ele é muito perfeccionista e só vai soltar quando tiver 100% na opinião dele (faz tempo que não temos contato constante, então não sei quando sai). Sobre ser oficial....rapaz...até o momento não..mas eu acho que a Capcom devia olhar isso com carinho.

Pra mim tem 2 possibilidades: 1 - Capcom licencia o jogo e vamos comprá-lo nos meios convencionais; 2 - Ninguém apoia o projeto e ele deve lançar de graça pra geral jogar do jeito que ele achar melhor (ele não teve todo esse trabalho pra simplesmente não lançar). De um jeito ou de outro...quando estiver pronto...sai. Esse é o meu palpite.

The is my first time coming across this project and I am DEFINITELY going to be keeping a close eye on it because it looks fucking FANTASTIC. The team is doing phenominal work I sincerely cannot wait to try it out!

My man, your design savvy is so insane. You have truly elevated Megaman X to a level the original developers could have only DREAMED of. It’s just...so god damn good. Every time I see an update you’re taking things to the next level. When this game is complete, it will be one of the greatest. Your attention to detail is astonishing, every problem has a solution, every asset has a use. The game is also a master class in good platforming. I can’t say enough good things about this game and about your quality as a game designer.
You take as long as you need. You may very well create the perfect game.
Also I have a dialogue suggestion. After Rafflar says “We are the Reploids!” Follow that up with “And we shall inherit the Earth!”

não vai sair pra nenhum console, esse jogo é feito por fãs e n pode comercializar. Então deve sair com algum installer proprio tipo jogos de mugen ou flash.
