Oh so Hart-Hunt finished this? That's cool. I LP'd the then current version back in 2014 and the build was *rough.* I'm talking "like a person's 2nd Mario Maker level" and "Rockman 6 RE" kinds of level design with some really brutal (and cheap) sections (the special weapons were also nerfed harder). I had no real desire to go back and finish it after clearing the first couple Sigma Stages so I kind of stopped paying attention. It's cool to see that it's been better balanced out since the early days (anyone curious to see the older builds should consider doing some googling as either mine or another LPer's videos of this Mod at the time should pop up). I remember hearing that Hard-Hunt was unable to affect enemy placement in this game and had to modify terrain in order to raise the difficulty for the player. I think this might be an issue with MMX games as a whole as X2 Alpha also relies on terrain changes for its difficulty.

My 2 cents on the intro stage : When fighting the helicopter, the player should be able to fall in the pit at the edge of the screen instead of being blocked by the screen. The helicopter moves constantly forward instead of related to damage received and the player has to kill the helicopter fast enough before being hurt by the bullet. When defeating the helicopter, the platform should fall into the pit. Most likely the player must reach the tower and climb it and must do a jump over the helicopter. The karts should lay mines so that after overcoming it the player has to go through a mine field since the mines where laid in front of them. Ad an ally at the start that follows X until the first pit. If the player is not fast enough, the ally fights with a weak gun and die on the first hit received.
