The rad was just replaced in Dec, not related, it got damaged. But prior no issues, no breakdown. No damage that I noticed. That being said I probably only used the stuff once every 6 months, doing the quick release grill was the best thing. Made cleaning very easy. Check that video out.
Interesting observation. It pushed out that nasty stuff then rinsed out the bottom. Might be hard to tell in the video but it did leave the rad very clean. The cleaner definitely loosened up the crud that wasn't coming up with water alone.
@@oneoffgarage Wouldn't you use the nozzle from the back side and flush out the same direction? Thanks for the Nu-Brite recommendation. I'm scouring the web right now, trying to locate some.
Just tried today and mine didn't foam at all. Did you pre-rinse the radiator? Maybe that was my issue (I did). I tried the 6:1 and redid it with 4:1 ratios.
Odd, we did rinse the radiator prior to get the real heavy stuff off. But I think it was pretty dry before we sprayed it down. The foaming action is what this stuff is supposed to do. Not sure what went wrong

Any air conditioning coil cleaner should work to some extent, let me see if I can find a vendor for this product

Can you get to the very bottom fins with that? Normally that is what clogs for me with mud.

I'm puzzled... You use the Nu-Brite to pull the dirt out and then the water to push it right back in?

@@TJbaseliner I found it on Amazon. Good idea pushing from behind, tough to get in there with the fan but we will give it a try next time around

I suppose it would, just follow the directions. Can't see why it wouldn't do the same thing
Dish soap does the same job.
Not at all..try it on your ac coils on your house ac. It's pretty effective
