    Along time ago I repaired radiators for motor vehicle and the first thing would of done is pump water through the radiator to see how much of blocking there was and then put it in a tank of water then pump air into the radiator for leaks and after that just take one end of the rad tanks off and rod that end, it alot quicker that way then refit the tank and after that repair the rad fin's.

      Depende do radiador amiga, esse deles são feitos puramente de cobre, você consegue abrir e ajeitar a coméia e limpar sem danificar, os do Brasil geralmente são tubos de cobre e aletas de alumínio, quando tenta ajeitar a coméia feita de alumínio, elas quebram, e nossas tampas que vão nas extremidades dos radiadores vendidos por aqui são plásticos presos apenas por minúsculas presilhas e vedados por uma borracha, ou seja, só é possível fazer 1 manutenção completa neles dependendo do caso e da delicadeza de quem faz, é possível duas.

    I wonder what the brazing rod is, i want some of those rods, does anyone know the composition, im guessing its a flux core as well, never saw him use flux. And for those complaining about the acid and the bricks and no bench etc etc, just think about all the packaging and garbage you generate with your new parts, is amazing how this people just repair absolutely everything, out of necessity.

    • @skrenos
      @skrenos 3 года назад +6

      They are collecting all the solder at the beginning so I think they are melting that down and making rods to reuse. It also looks like they are using hydrochloric acid to clean the radiator and they are most likely dabbing that on before applying solder. Hydrochloric acid can be used as a flux. I've used zinc chhloride paste when soft soldering and when you apply heat, it decomposes to hydrochloric acid and water.

    • @MicrophonicFool
      @MicrophonicFool 3 года назад +2

      Reused (and when absolutely necessary added) lead. You can bet there is a shop further in the building or closeby which is making those solder rods. Might be alloyed with tin, but I kinda doubt it.

    • @EricTViking
      @EricTViking 2 года назад

    He soldiered the upper and lower chamber the wrong way. If you look at the cooling fins being bent on the outside, now they are on the inside. If you pay attention you will see that upper incoming and lower outcoming, as is the drain are on less cooling damaged side. I wonder if this is done on purpose to get a bit marginally more airflow around the fins or it is just one of those "who cares" situation...the customer sees the better side.
