    I bought a foam cannon with the "snow " soap. You are supposed to add 4oz of snow and fill the rest of the bottle with warm water. Instead of warm water I used simple green , full strength, amazing results.

      Daaaang that sounds like a killer combo! I’m going to try that on the next wash, just dump some simple green in with the foam cannon. Do you hand wash at all or just spray it on, let it soak, and then spray off?

    Great video, thanks for the comparison!
    Where did you pick up the “wheel well liners“ / block-off plates, and also which fender flares are you running? Thank you! Keep up the great work!

      Thanks for the support! I just added the link to the wheel well liners in the description , they are Double OTT. The fender flares I am running are the RokBloks fender flares. I love them so far, they seem to be very durable and block a lot of mud without looking huge like other flares tend to look!

    Thank you for sharing this video. It would be interesting to try Simple Green AFTER you sprayed with the Slick products, just to see if it would clear the grime the Slick products didn't clean on the first pass.

      I’ll have to try it in a foam cannon, do you add any soap to it to make it foam up?

    • @andytn6507

      @@SchmidtysOffroad No, it foams up a lot with straight simple green.

  • @bigsexysadventures3942

    i always do the simple green or any degreaser then do the foam cannon with a hand wash. You nstill have to use a wash mitt with the foam cannon the soap lubricates it so it washes easier.

      @SchmidtysOffroad  2 года назад +1

      That’s what I did this last time I washed it and man it’s as clean as new lol. I really like the cannon for getting foam everywhere and then just hand washing from there. Makes it really nice

    When I was into the RC 1/10th buggy racing hobby. I cleaned my rigs with a mix of Simple Green and WD40 or of a spray bottle. Might work out of a foam Cannon.
    I know it sounds weird, but it worked great and protected all the surfaces and left them with a nice shine.
    You should give it a try, I would stay clear of your brake rotors, although we sprayed that mix on everything without issue. But then again , my life didn't depend on it. 😆
    Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  Год назад

      Did the WD40 leave a oily layer all over it or was it not too bad? One issue I had with the slik products is it left a oily layer behind that attracted dust real bad so I don’t want that. Simple green is seriously one of the best options for the money I think

    • @Do-UR-Research2749
      @Do-UR-Research2749 Год назад +2

      @Schmidty's Offroad yes its does leave a lite film, which was intended to provide protection and prevent dirt and clay from the track from sticking.
      I'm ok with dust sticking to the machine if the end result is that mud is easier to remove, and it gives the quad some protection from the elements.
      I've never used this method on a quad, so I don't have a clue how well it would work.

    Well dang i just bought 80 dollar worth of stuff from slick. Love there shine products vs sc1 so decide to try there wash but I got the touchless and off road wash not the decreaser and picked up their exterior dressing

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  10 месяцев назад

      Honestly I didn’t mind the slick stuff but it didn’t seem to work as advertised honestly. It looks good once you hand wash it with their soap but for easy cleaning the simple green is the easiest and fastest. I have had people suggest putting it in the foam cannon so I might try that.

    Can you stray the simple green on the entire rzr including the motor and radiator?
    Thanks

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  Год назад

      I try to avoid ditectly spraying it on the motor and radiator but we aren’t super careful. It should be fine on the motor, as long as you dilute it with water. The only thing I would worry about is the rubber hoses getting dried out from the chemical but we haven’t noticed anything weird happening

    It’s a gimmick for sure I bought it once and I still had to go back with was and I used purple power, wondering about the simple green, where did you get the blocking plates

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah it wasn’t near as good as I was hoping. Simple green seems to still be really good. I have started using Advanced Kotings which I like but I usually hand wash it.
      The block off plates I think I literally got on Amazon. I’m not sure what the actual brand was but they worked pretty good!

    Does simple green ruin the plastic? What about the grease points?

    • @SchmidtysOffroad
      @SchmidtysOffroad  2 года назад +3

      We have never noticed anything funky going on that would be caused by the simple green. We don’t typically spray it inside the cab on electronics and then try and keep it from drying on rubber and electrical wires. We have been using it for several years and no issues yet!
