It’s finally starting to get cold here in Kansas so I’m hoping it pushes the ducks down here. Been busy with sighting in a new bow and working to fill my deer tags. The cold water gets brutal on ducks though. Luckily I got a buddy who’s got a boat we typically will use!

They allowed them last this year. There was only one that ran and it was in the amateur turbo class. That guy ended up going to champ when Mao shut down and he ran up there a few rounds. I think there was only 2 Mav rs in all of short course this year. I think they struggle a little maybe with weight and getting the transmission to work correctly

The steepest part was just to the side of where he went up. Cameras don’t do these trails any justice

Thanks for the feedback. Some people like to understand how things actually work. I didn’t want to make a video that shows someone how to unscrew a cap and put a different spring in it and see what happens.

This was honestly my favorite one of all the rpm exhausts I ran. I think it was a good mix and I ran it for a while. If you are worried about noise though I would do one of the cutout exhausts paired with the stock muffler. If I was going to have a dedicated trail car that’s probably what I would do. I only race it now and it’s just got the head pipe on it, I don’t even have the rear muffler on it now lol

@SchmidtysOffroad I was taking a look at those as well! And that might be route I need to take. We also might be doing rugged radio headsets so if I wear that most of the time the exhaust probably wouldn't even be a concern lol. Great videos man and thanks for the reply! Your machine sounds great!

Interesting. I haven’t gotten any codes and I just switched my entire setup and still nothing. It looks like it’s an over boost code. Maybe check all the fittings and make sure the valve is in correctly?

It should definitely help. Seek Designs has a turbo rs1 with the same setup and they are pushing 200hp to the wheels and it works awesome!

It’s a pretty solid upgrade especially depending on what year you have. The newer ones have some stronger components but depending on how hard you ride or if you are making more power modifications, this upgrade is pretty good.

What exhaust did you end up going with? These machines are really easy to work on if you take your time. There’s a few things that will make you throw a wrench but overall they aren’t too bad!

@@SchmidtysOffroad Still using stock exhaust. After seeing your video on Charging tube / J- tube modifications I plan to do that.

Depending on how far of a drive it is for you, you can cover a lot of ground in a day! You could do the entire loop if you start early enough and still stop at some places. Late summer/early fall is an awesome time to go out there. Weather is beautiful!

Wow I never heard about that one. It’s pretty scary hearing what happens when people don’t respect off-roading. Very beautiful but it needs to be respected or stuff like that can happen. We loved our time in Lake City and want to come back and honestly spend more time there!

Did I run a stop sign and drive above the speed limit? A lot of the video was sped up so you could see more of the loop. We went the same speed as anyone else out there! We tried to be very respectful in town and on the roads. And if you’re talking about where the vehicles are parked in the beginning, that’s where we were told to park. Have a good one.

Do research on simple green and all the things it has faded and caused problems on before using it!

I have never had any issues with it. Used it for years on my ATVs and used it for a few years on my rzr before switching to Advanced Kotings. My dad uses simple green on his KRX and has for the last few years and no fading

This track is a blast!

August 10th will be the next one. They had a race this last weekend but I was out in Virginia so I couldn’t make it. I should be at the rest of their races though!

@@SchmidtysOffroad I was there for the race, there was a crash kinda similar to the one in the video, he ended up doing a front flip

@@SchmidtysOffroad yes it was a mostly blue razor, the back drivers side wheel flew into the air

@@RepoReaper1217 yeah I think that’s the one I saw. You definitely have to be careful at that track. The jumps are a little more unforgiving than some other tracks. But it’s still nice to be able to race locally

Thanks Bruce! Yeah I’m worried about smoking belts once I start the two foot but I know it’ll be necessary to push the car harder! I’m hoping they fill us in soon on the status of the series. Would be cool do race Wheatland if that’s in the cards. I have heard some awesome things about that track.

I’ll have to check your video out when you post it. I have heard it’s the air box and that’s why they didn’t bigger airbox seal. Once I switched to the roll cage separator I never had any issues with dirt. So I’m not sure if mine was warped or not. I hate the airbox though how you have to pull the seats. I designed a new airbox that opens from the back and you can customize it if you want to open it up for more airflow (for racing). I just need to find someone who wants to build and produce it.

He’s got a turbo r in the shop right now that’s getting a lot of work done. I’ll share updates on that one also. It’s going to be sick when it’s done

@@patricklandis3910 Im assuming you are talking about the clutch fan. In the little bit of tests I tried with it, I found it to work. Maybe not as advertised but it worked on some situations. I’m not using it anymore but I’m racing is the main reason why

@@SchmidtysOffroad personally I didn’t notice any change in temperature, I think it’s waste of money, the fan speed really isn’t that fast, this thing is superficial it’s a waste of money..

@patricklandis3910 to each their own! You can check out the video I did and the temps are definitely lower mainly at slower speeds. The faster you’re going the effectiveness is going to go down. It has its uses, is it for everyone? No definitely not

It’s the S&B particle separator. It was right behind the GoPro so it’s pretty loud I just realized it in this video though. I did have the fender well version and it was quieter but I couldn’t get it to work right so I changed to the one that bolts to the roll cage

I was about to buy the trail edition when I was looking at buying my UTV. It was between that and the pro xp I have now. I loved the camo and green on the trail, I thought it was one of the better ones they came out with! My dad still loves his KRX. They are a hell of a machine!

I was just thinking about that the other day watching the highlights from crandon. I really want to go up there and watch. It would be a heck of a drive but from what I have seen it would be awesome! I’ll have to look at the dates for the remaining rounds and see if I could make it happen!

@schuiteman74 looks like that’s the end of August. Depending on what happens with the HRA series I am in, we might be racing that weekend. I really need to try and get up there either this year or next year though. I want to see the Pro 4s hit that first corner!

You can always run the recirculating pipe and not hear it. To me it’s worth it having the billet BOV

She rips!!! This was by far my favorite exhaust I had. Now I’m just running the mid pipe for racing so she’s LOUD!

It’s a blast! There’s a lot of things I want to change and keep upgrading but it’ll come with time. I’m hooked on the racing!

@@SchmidtysOffroad is racing like this more expensive than other forms of racing. Also, is there a class for 800s or anything of that size?

@@josephwallace9915 it adds up pretty quick honestly. To get into it with the machine you’re looking at probably 5-10k in fabrication and safety work but then depending on how far of a drive you have to the track, it’s about $500 per event for entry fees and passes for the event. I would say desert racing is a lot more expensive but it really just depends. Where I race in Oklahoma is a lot more expensive than where this race was at. This race would be pretty cheap to get into depending on skill level

We didn’t tune it in this video but he does have it tuned now. I honestly wouldn’t recommend the exhaust, it’s stupid loud. There’s a few others on the market that sound good and aren’t brutally loud if you want to get one.
