Hey bud glad to have ya back on the Tube! Any plans for the ride command and audio? Very excited to see what you have planned! I've actually been tossing around the idea of building a track just for SXS racing..
I’m pumped to get back into posting more. Last year was wild for me. But yeah for now I plan to keep the ride command and speakers in there. I’m working with a suspension tuner hoping we can get the live valve shocks to work good enough for racing this year. I really didn’t want to figure out how to tear all that out and basically make it useless. My long term goal is to buy a bare bones rzr and do a full race build so it doesn’t have all the electronics but this year I’ll be fine keeping it all. Who knows, I might have to play some tunes out on the track haha. And where are you located about? I know people are always looking for tracks to race, I’m sure it would gain traction quick!
@SchmidtysOffroad upstate NY.. I've got a awesome spot in mind right along the Black River with some nice hills and great corners. We only have one track near by but it's not really ideal for SXS..
That sounds like it would be sick! I really want to make my way out that way one day. Be cool if eventually there’s a big racing series that covers coast to coast for UTVs
@SchmidtysOffroad ya, I'd love to get into racing but it's not in the cards for me any time soon. for now I will keep trail riding, I've been working on my parts list for the spring so we shall see how that goes.
@@briandavis4606 For sure! The parts list is never ending. I have been dying to get back into racing and its been a few years in the making. I like trail riding but Im ready for the adventure of racing. I hope to one day able to build like a ranger or something for trails and then keep the race car
Do not do any type of slots in your seat mount. You don't want those loosening up and your seat moving in the event of a wreck and your belts coming loose. I would also recommend a hard mount on the back of your seat near your shoulders to prevent the seat from flexing.
That makes a lot of sense thanks for the tip! I got PRP composite seat mounts and then have one hole in the back mounting hole but slots in the front so if the back stays tight I wouldn’t think it would slide much but I’m sure wild stuff can happen. What seats do you run and do you have custom mounts?
@@SchmidtysOffroad I run an ultrashield aluminum full containment seat. I would highly recommend a full containment for your next seat. My mounts are all custom made.
Good deal, yeah I’m sure I’ll have to upgrade seats once it gets more serious. I knew this PRP seat will be better than stock for sure but a full containment is on the list eventually. I just need to start by getting my feet wet and get some time under me and go from there
It’s a Midwest dirt fiend cage. It’s actually a weld it yourself cage that my buddy and I welded a few years ago. I have been very happy with it but I think MDF is actually selling his equipment now which is unfortunate.

Brand of cage?
Thank you!
