BMW K1600 GTL Radiator Cleaning to Improve Air Flow and Fix Overheating Issue
This is how I clean the radiator on a 2012 BMW K1600 GTL motorcycle. Once these get covered in dirt air will not flow thru the radiator causing an overheating issue with the motorcycle.

I have owned a 2012 K1600GT for over 10 years. Currently has 135000 miles. I have had overheating issues due to clogged radiator fins. I clean mine just as you descrbe. Few tips: By removing cooling fan, you can access rear of radiator allowing better flush. I do flush one every year or two. You can get a highly priced fender extender which helps but does not eliminate the 😮 problem. Video does not show most difficult part: removal of plastic radiator guard. Oh, by the way, when I initially took bike to local dealer, they tried to tell me I needed a new radiator cap and water pump! You not take their advice. Unluckily, it cost $100 to find out they were clueless

Hi Mikey, how difficult is it to remove the radiator, big design flaw for BMW as regards all the crap that gets thrown up into the radiator, it definitely needs a ' mud flap' attached to the front fender, but knowing you you'll probably already have sorted it. Bit chilly here but I am still in shorts, the missus thinks I am off my head 😅😅, all the best & stay safe 👍👍👍

Not that I know of. Get someone to check it.
