    Thanks for this message. I'm going through a lot with my Mom right now with health ailments. I prayed for strength all night and this popped up as suggested this morning.

      I went through a lot with my mom, too. It is discouraging. I found things that we had in common and focused on enjoying those things. I have my moments when I remember how poorly she treated me, and her attitude sometimes pops up. I try to ignore how that affects me. I took one to 2 day this week to be upset about it. The following days are better now. I think I found peace in knowing that she gave me life, so that's why I'm here...but she DOES NOT have the right to control me. I am FREE. Praying for you.

    Dr. Axe, what does Matthew 16:19 mean? "I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will have [already] been loosed in heaven." Can you please explain this verse and how to apply it in your life? Thank you!

    I don't think the 5 minute rule pertains to the death of a loved one, it will take a lot longer than 5 months to get over it!

    • @ThingsAbove333
      @ThingsAbove333 7 месяцев назад +1

      I agree but I think taking the full 5 mins To _accept_ that you can not change the loss, can allow you to start fully on the path to healing.

      What the other commenter said but also exposure therapy. Learning to manage the startled feelings, going through it to the other side, experiencing that your ok...may really help you.
