Wow!!! What about when you’re the last to know who you really are while others know but don’t tell you. It’s amazing how we can live fooling ourselves…. A spouse can quickly show us who we really are. It’s hard truth but those people who tell you the truth are real friends.
I have been a sub for a long time, seldom watch your vids(cold truth) Today, I chose to watch and listen, glad I did.....very deep subject matter here.
Very thought provoking! I would like to point out that some who have suffered severe trauma in their past can not and should not 'revisit' that trauma as it only causes them to relive that horrible experience.
True. But there are ways to release the emotional components. The result is the ability to remember and reflect upon the lessons learned, the deeper underlying gifts built into the experience so that one can forgive and move on. Many people have healed from their traumas, are able to then go on and teach others how to do the same. There isn’t one therapeutic approach. However, as someone who has delve deeply into one’s own psyche and exercise, the emotional triggers of past traumas, I can personally attest to the ability to grow from such experiences, and then be able to help others. The Emotion Code, by Dr Bradley Nelson is one such healing modality. (His book by the same name is worth exploring). One thing that a person never do is bury and suppress traumatic experiences. They walk around, carrying the energetic effects in their body, and it affects their health adversely.
Yes that is something i have seen or been around right across the border in mexico, living here in the south of Texas border. For sure i grew up being very grateful. Not having much but seeing others are in worse conditions.
Thank you for excellent, positive, life giving content. Your podcast consistently blesses and challenges me to be better and reach higher. My tendency is complacency….I always want to be grateful and content but also growing. You walk that line well - thank you. May the Lord continue to bless you, your ministry and family.💕
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, I'm so glad to hear this podcast is impacting you in such a positive way! We should always be striving to grow, even if it means stepping out of our comfort zone. God bless you 🙏
There is a movie recently that was on theaters that is called Radical based on true story that shows very closly how it really is like that kids live right across the border. One of the students lived by a landfill. The teacher is someone so well known by mexicans and hispanics, Eugenio Derbez. I reccommend this movie.
My brother experienced that same thing when he visited the Philippines and visited the people living at the dump. It changed his life. I have the pictures he took of children living in the dump and covering their nose with cloth because of the stench 😭.
Love what you become - Dr. Axe! - some day let us know what you think of the Wim Hof method . Breathing gave me all you are talking about here 🙂- self-awareness - praying - love - and a lot more . 4 years in this methode , thx for all your video Sir ;-)
Love the Batman study! Very interesting. Now just need to figure out how to fully apply that in my life… with Christ defining my identity and me being self aware of the superhero He’s created me to be, I am the most awesome version of myself! ❤
I needed this, sometimes i get into the me me me. I live in Africa but i have certain privileges but i have seen these places the Dr. Is talking about.
You need to also include your identity in Christ, when you belong to Him. This increases self-worth, self-awareness, empathy, compassion, wisdom, knowledge, discernment…. 1 Peter 2:9 says, "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light."
This is profound, I have a few people in my life, Who live with Extreme PRIDE! They dragging pain and rejection from Childhood! They atheists to., they keep attracting Hangers on, who they put all their energy and money into.. they also atheists! It’s Painful to watch them, Daily.. Falling, Because of their PRIDE! 🙏🏻
33:13 Someone says Dr Axe, you don't know what you're talking about and instead of thinking if he is self aware of his own ignorance, he immediately thinks of devising a way to change the other guy rather than considering the other guy doesn't need changing.
Can you clarify what you mean by this? I didn't get this feel off of him, but I like to think carefully about what media I consume. Thanks for your input. It is a strong statement.
What a wonderful message, Dr. Axe! I am so thankful for you!
Thanks so much! Glad you tuned in!
I enjoy this kind of content. Please do a video about the importance of praying and meditation

Praying in the Spirit ***
I love your statement that: “emotion should never control us but make us aware of what is going on internally.”

The problem is not dealing with abuse is the reason why so many people struggle with mental illness

Some people think they know what other people are capable of doing and perhaps think that everyone can do what they themselves can do.
