All but one of their 10 studio albums tell one big continuous sci-fi story called The Amory Wars, and there are a series of comic books that go along with the albums. It’s pretty epic but can be pretty intimidating to new listeners, so I usually suggest just sticking to the music until you get curious enough to dig into the story organically. Coheed and Cambria are the names of the main characters from the first album, hence the name. Their album and song titles can also be a real mouthful sometimes! 😂 They are an amazingly talented, super creative, and incredibly diverse band and it’s definitely worth checking out their whole catalogue, but if you want another song in the same vein I would suggest checking out “The Hard Sell” or “Sentry the Defiant” next, then maybe step it up with “Gravity’s Union” when you’re ready for something that leans into the story a little more. Everything these guys do is 🔥🔥🔥
Gotta listen to ALL FOUR Willing Well songs, 1-4. Their best representation of their early work. So glad to see this on here! Also, I think Deftones would be greatly enjoyed. Anything off of koi no Yokan, or diamond eyes, or their latest album ohms.
Love these guys! Look into the comic series. Called “The Armory Wars”. They are a concept band and all but one of their albums go with the comics. And boy do I have a list of goodies for you. The Gutter. In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3. Blood Red Summer. The Dark Side of Me. The Pavilion. Welcome Home (everybody has to hear this one. It’s a rule.) They just don’t have a bad song.
