Zamboanga is really a beautiful place that even the queen of spain visited the city! She also visited the city because she went to the housing projects that the they funded for the people of Zamboanga (maybe because as a sign of their appreciation for the city and the people)

"Satti" is a famous Tausug dish, which is similar to, related to, and maybe even based from the "Satey" of India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore. It is also famous among Zamboangueño people and other ethnicities or other ethnic/ethnolinguistic groups or nations living in Zamboanga City and in other areas in Western Mindanao.
The Tausug people or the Tau Sug are an ethnicity or group of people of mostly and in majority Sunni Muslims and native/indigenous Filipinos who originally came from the island of Sulu, but they're now also living in other places in the Philippines and in the world, but most especially in Western Mindanao area like in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte province, Zamboanga del Sur province, Zamboanga Sibugay province, Basilan province, Sulu province, Tawi-tawi province, etc.
The Tausug people or the Tau Sug who are living in Zamboanga City, and in the other provinces in the Zamboanga Peninsula Region, though they are of a distinct ethnic or ethnolinguistic group, are also called and referred to as Zamboangueños, especially those living, studying, residing, working, voting, officially registered, and staying here in Zamboanga City.
Being a Zamboangueño is both by demonym and by ethnicity or ethnolinguistic or ethnic group/nation.
You can be a Zamboangueño just by demonym, or by the place where you live, stay, reside, study, work, vote, and officially registered. You can also be a Zamboangueño just by ethnicity, or the ethnic group, ethnic nation, ethnolinguistic group, or ethnolinguistic nation that you belong to, and which is about your language, culture, traditions, customs, etc. You can also be both a Zamboangueño by demonym and a Zamboangueño by ethnicity.

    Rice in Chavacano:
Palay / Paláy = Rice plant (English) , Palay / Pálay (Filipino)
Palay / Paláy = Rice grain/s with the husk still on (English), Palay/ Pálay o Bigas/ Bigás (Filipino)
Arroz = Rice grain/s without the husk or uncooked rice grain/s (English), Bigas/ Bigás (Filipino)
Kanon / Morisqueta = Cooked rice or steamed rice (English), Kanin/ Kánin (Filipino)
Btw, "Kanon" came or was derived from the Cebuano/ Bisaya and Hiligaynon/ Ilonggo word "kan-on" or "kan'on" and means the same thing as in Chavacano.

Even tagalog words has a lot of spanish in it' dialects from Visayas as well has lots of spanish. I think if i study spanish i can easily catch it up. In the future i wonna study spanish. I think its very interesting to learn the language which ones been in our history. After Spanish colonization' American and Japanese conquered Philippines so thats why we learn more how to speak English than Spanish.

"Spicy" in Chavacano is "pika/pica" or "picante" and "kahang" or "makahang".
"Pika/pica" has another vulgar meaning, because when you pronounce it as /pí-ka/ then you're fine, but when you will pronounce it as /pi-ká/ then that means either to "take a small piece or bite" or "to peck" (in referring to how birds eat or take their food), and it also means "to f*ck". So be very careful in pronunciation, word choice, and context.
To be safe, just use "kahang" or "makahang" to mean "spicy".
On the other hand, "caliente" literally means "hot" as in having high temperature or having great amount of heat, and not spicy hot.

    I'm hungry. / I am hungry.=
    Con hambre yo.
    Yo con hambre.
    I'm already hungry. / I am already hungry. =
    Con hambre ya yo.
    Yo con hambre ya.
Btw, "hambre" is more commonly written and spelled as "ambre" than "hambre". ✌

Chavacano is an adulterated Spanish like local Spanish . But it was in the late 1990s only when real Spanish language ( not hispanic) was part of the curriculum in the colleges which later became an elective .
