I'm nearing 70 and while I used to play a power game, today my swing is so much closer to the ladies. One of my new tools is I have a video clip of Iona's swing on my iPhone that I sit and watch before and during every range session. Trying to emulate Iona's tempo has helped make a dramatic improvement in my consistency and ability to find fairways -- so much so that I shot my age (69) two weeks ago. Thank you Iona for all you bring to us.
I just wanted to thank you Iona for your videos. They have helped my game so much. My own 'chasing the red' was to break 80 at my local course in Seattle (Jackson Park - par 72). I've been working hard to keep my attitude positive on the course. Your voice was in my head this morning as I finally reached my goal and shot a 78. All the best, Maria
Really super video providing insight into the clubs you play as well as some swing instruction and general golfing wisdom. It’s great you reference the shafts you play and your swing speed. I’m 60 and my driver swing speed is 90-95 mph. Just been for a driver fitting where the 10 degree gt2 gave we 15 yrds more carry with that Tensai Blue 1K 55 stiff over my currant driver (tsi3 with a heavier shaft). Your Vokey video was also great too. Again you reference a lighter shaft - the ns pro Neo, the grinds but also some swing tips from the bunkers. Your content is just amazing!
I absolutely agree with you about watching and learning women's golf. What I like about your channel is I can relate to your swing speed. I have seen a few LPGA tournaments (Brooke Henderson fan!) As a 60 year old male I don't get much out of watching Bryson - there is just no point. I learn a ton from you and how you swing. Grateful for your channel!
Iona, let me start by thanking you for all of your content, your spirit is so uplifting. I am eyeing a new driver, possibly GT2, I had a bad experience with TSI3. My swing speed is on avg with you, so many RUclipsrs are too fast to learn anything. I guess what I’d like to know is if you think if 240 carry is possible with the right loft/shaft combination??
Love that tip Iona about not flaring the lead foot so much! Makes complete sense as well, I should have experimented more with this, I’ll be doing this at the range on Friday night. I too feel a bit spiny in my swing, cheers.
Love my Titleist TSR2 driver, did try this new GT on a demo day, only the other day, didn't notice any major differences to justify the investment. No real difference in dispersion or extra distance. So the TSR2 will stay in my bag for the foreseeable future.
My GT3 has significantly improved my miss from TSR3 (slight out of heel would spin up significantly). Love and recommend both heads, GT is significantly improved in that way. Sounds great, flies flat and hot 🥃. Cheers Iona
So much great stuff in this one. I love the technical club tweaking stuff and your so smart to affiliate with Titleist--will always remember what they did for Moe Norman. And I must say, I follow the LPGA and LET more than the men these days. There are so many great personalities and players--Ko, Maguire, Henderson, Saso, and Buhai. I'm a big fan of Alena Sharp who is a Canadian and trying to finish with enough CME points to secure status for next year. Grand vid. Thanks a bunch.
I went through five different drivers this year, from ping, tsr2, ai smoke, qi10, and now the gt2. Gt2 is the clear winner in every category. Best looking, feeling, forgiving, and performing driver for me.😅
Another great video. I did an early fitting with Team Titleist in July and they fit me into GT2 (Tensei 1K) and it took a few weeks to get comfy with it, but I’m seeing some great speed and distance gains. ❤
Great video Iona, I play the TSR 2 driver and absolutely love it. 💯 the women’s game is amazing.I was up at St Andrews watching it and they where absolutely nailing it couldn’t believe how easy they where making it look, although I’m sure it was difficult especially with the weather conditions they had to contend with.
Just upgraded my whole set after 15 years of solid use. The long sticks are the GT3 (both 1 and 3 metal). Seems so easy to hit. Great video explaining why these are great clubs and the individual touches that add to the cost. I heard you mention the FS Kit in another video. I'm using one and love what it brings. I'm hoping you can do a future video letting us know how you are using that launch monitor in your quest to improve your lovely swing.
I still hit a Titleist 913D 7.5 degree and absolutely blistered it at 52 years old (hitting it well over 3 bills) but this is the first new driver that I want to test out. Looks amazing but it's all about feel and performance.
Very interesting numbers to me. Iona's swing speed is almost identical to mine, but her ball speed is 5-10 mph more than mine. I'm a 55 yr old man, 90 kgs that uses the gym a lot. No substitute for technique.
Iona, did you get this driver/shaft after your session with Butch Harmon when he asked you to hit another driver and you were suddenly hitting so much better?
Love the comment about more golfers should watch LPGA players unless you’re an elite male amateur, you should be watching how the women hit it do consistently and accurately while thinking their way around the course. Too many people try to replicate the pga tour players bombing it 340 thinking they can do the same.
Gosh you are a brilliant golfer and a most lovely personality. Seems you had a more effective trip onto the fitting than Rick Shiels 😅. Oh wow that was a total failure.
The only gains you get out of this driver is a lighter wallet ,😂 Thanks to all titliest employees for most of comments on this subject, I’ve had tsi3 ,tsr3 &tsr2 twice all great drivers but £579 really
The Titleist chap talks about aerodynamics being improved by moving the weight track from back to front, but surely that then changes the club completely from forgiving to low spin, which is way more significant than the shape of it?!

Nice video. I always enjoy your tips and input on equipment as well as your positive attitude. Well done.
I've just gone from TSI3 to GT2 It's an incredible piece of kit, the gains are huge
The way the new GT series is constructed is just phenomenal, I am sold!
Love this video! Would love to see you demoing more clubs, Iona!!! Also your swing fires me up!!! ❤❤❤
I was one of the scorers at the AIG women’s open and it was the best golf I’ve ever seen, the wind was brutal and they made it look so easy.
Useful insight into rhythm and tempo.
Going to get a fitting for the GT driver soon hopefully

Spot on comments at the end👍. GT3, if I had £500 spare 😂😂😳
£560😂
I love my TSR2, favorite driver to date. GT2 looks great. Hard to think about changing
I ordered a GT2 yesterday after a fitting. Really loved it and looking forward to taking it out on the course
Good evening, I hope you're having a good start to the week, and congratulations on your GT2 ... tell me how things went during the fitting ???
Love my GT3, traded up from the TSi3 about 6 weeks ago. Amazing differences
Love that tip Iona about not flaring the lead foot so much! Makes complete sense as well, I should have experimented more with this, I’ll be doing this at the range on Friday night. I too feel a bit spiny in my swing, cheers.
Just took delivery of the same driver. Incredible club. Thank you Iona!
I love the way you talk about the game. I get a very Anthony Bourdain feel to your content. You and Erik Anders Lang should do content together!

you are such a good player. Wonderful to see your videos
Great presentation of their new product Iona👏

Top advise Iona. I watch the LPGA & LET golf all the time. I've learnt more watching the ladies than I have the men.
Great advice from a great lady 🎉Thank you
What a cracking video Iona as someone who struggles with fibromyalgia it’s definitely difficult keeping my swing smooth
Won a comp and now have the GT2 driver and it is a brilliant club. Love it already
I'm like you have the TSR 3 .Love it .This was a interesting look behind the curtain of the changes done to create the GT 👍
You would do well in sales. Had me sold in the first 60 seconds where you were describing my TSR3 that I love so dearly.
I still hit a Titleist 913D 7.5 degree and absolutely blistered it at 52 years old (hitting it well over 3 bills) but this is the first new driver that I want to test out. Looks amazing but it's all about feel and performance.
Male golfer, 53 yrs old. I find women’s golf so much more relatable than the men’s game. Similar club head speeds to me, similar yardages. Love it.
Interesting as always
Posting into the front leg is quite the lever! 😊
Hi Iona, just watching this video and was surprised there are hardly any comments from ladies
If only Rick sheils handled his Titleist GT video as well as this
I love my gt2 ball gets up high and just goes 😍
Oh the Titleist fitter seems a decent guy. Another video would’ve tried to show otherwise.
Iona…You’re great!!! ❤
Fully agree with the comments re. women's golf. Most ams can learn lots from watching them.
Recognise this fitter from another video that's not available anymore :)
Hahahaha.
Rick Shiels is a jerk. 😂
What we need is Iona vs Rick. During the video Iona can constantly speak about her driver fitting and how much she loves Titleist drivers.
Very interesting numbers to me. Iona's swing speed is almost identical to mine, but her ball speed is 5-10 mph more than mine. I'm a 55 yr old man, 90 kgs that uses the gym a lot. No substitute for technique.
What size tee do you use please?
What size shoe? What size golf glove and what size putter do you use? 😏
Iona have u tried the lamkin sonar + plus grip that might help u from Steve
Is this ricks mate
Yep
beautiful looking clubs...even in a pricey sport like golf, wow, they are expensive.
Iona, did you get this driver/shaft after your session with Butch Harmon when he asked you to hit another driver and you were suddenly hitting so much better?
Give it some welly! 💥💯⛳

I always laugh at guys like you who do this, there are other ways to get attention lol.
@@aj897 glad I could perk up so obvious joyless life
what brand shoes are those
Look like foot joy Links to me
Nice club
Iona the 🐐
A driver named after me, Iona.
Gosh you are a brilliant golfer and a most lovely personality. Seems you had a more effective trip onto the fitting than Rick Shiels 😅. Oh wow that was a total failure.
at least you didn't spaff it everywhere and be rude to the fitter like another fitting I watched a few weeks ago 🤣
Lolz.
My swing is 100% percent modeled off Nelly. Maybe someday, I'll be half as good as her! (probably not, but I did get better from imitating her)
Tressa Creek
Whatever You are a baller. Keep it up! Great content.
$700 for five more yards.Hmmmm🤔
The only gains you get out of this driver is a lighter wallet ,😂

I don’t get how every two years the drivers are ‘reshaped for aerodynamics and the weight moved into the optimal position’….seriously?
no better all marketing
Iona is gorgeous you must be beating them off with your new GT driver, good way to increase you swing speed
congrats on making it weird
Hardly any difference in last 20 years
