As an average golfer, I love to see these fitting sessions by a quality fitter. It makes me realise how inadequate the fittings I've had in the past have been. Great content. Thanks.
I am happy for your friend! He is going to really take advantage of the equipment now. He has a lot of power, so taking advantage of it with the right driver, should make is game more fun and score better. Yes, if people can get fit, maybe find a pro for a few lessons, the benefit is real. The score card will reflect it. Great video James!!
This was brilliant. I’ve got a fitting for this club tomorrow evening and it’s my first ever club fitting, currently bad shot is big right so exact replica so thanks for recording this
I was exactly the same with my fitting on Thursday! The toe and heel strikes just went straight down the middle! Lost the yards as you expect compared to centre strikes, but the middle fairway with bad shots is what I’ll take everyday! GT3 is something very special, great fitting by the titleist guys
Nice work!! He's got some good clubhead speed, I was sure I saw 110mph a few times in the video. Once he gets that face closed a bit to the path he'll be hitting bomber draws past you James 🤭 Oh & I miss your old "Off Course" channel, was enjoying your car reviews on that one. Cheers.
I really enjoy your videos and glad I found you on youtube. Also. being a friend of yours has some great perks that I am envious of. Looking forward to the next matches after he gets that driver dialed in.
Have you ever put a midsized grip on his club? I wish more fitters would put something other than a standard grip size in peoples hands to see if it works. I switched a few years ago and found I use less grip pressure thus a more relaxed swing. Some friends have also switched after trying my clubs.
I'm getting a driver and fairway woods fitting with a Titleist fitter. Looking forward to it very much but I am expecting the ceeditcard to take a hit!
Great episode James. Thank you. I am curious though, as to if people with a Yorkshire accent miss words when they read a book, like the word ‘the’. Intit rather than isn’t it. Brilliant great content.
Driver looks great, but honestly, the prices are just getting stupid at this point. It's $650 in the US, I feel like next year we will see plenty of $700+ Drivers
Believe it or not back over 10 years ago Taylormades tp model drivers were in the $600-800 range even back then. Part of that was that they had an upgraded shaft that came with the tp version. But yes I get your point, they won’t feel guilty one bit about when it’s $699 for the next model..
Have watched several reviews pitting the TSR against the GT and there was almost no difference in dispersion, speed, spin and length. Hard to justify a $650 price tag. I use a TS3 and am thinking about a TSR for $450.
The few fittings I've had I now realize that I was making a serious mistake. Instead of my normal swing I was trying to impress or comfort the fitter by hitting longer or straighter shots. The extra effort in doing this, in my view, distorted the results and mislead the fitter. After this clip, I'm going back to a fitting and will concentrate on a normal 80% swing within my normal aggression.
50g X Stiff 1k Blue doesn't surprise me at all Maybe a 70g X Stiff 1k Black would have been hard work but the light weight is all about creating a bit more club head speed and because of that the launch and spin would be optimised to the head (loft/launch/spin) I move my club head way faster than this fitting but I have 6.0/ stiff Hazardous Smoke Hulk small batch low launch /low spin shaft tipped by an inch @ 70g The weight drastically effects the over all stiffness of a shaft and tipping makes it play stiffer still Jazzy Golfer went for a Titleist ball fitting once and was fitted with a ProV1x Yet this is a ball for "faster swing speeds" not a beginner female...
Getting fitted on the 7th/8 and can’t wait. Have watched every fitting possible on RUclips and all coming back with class reviews. This is probably the best example of what the new drivers can do for you/me. Will probably update my shaft if swing has changed from my last fitting. Cost, I don’t care If the product is good. Only sport I play now and want the best possible results. Long time dead! 💥🏌🏻
Mainly he was changing the adjustable weight at the front end of the club (the little window looking thing) left and right to try to find the ideal spot so the club face would be more square at impact. He did switch his shaft early on to make it a bit heavier as well. Everytime they would try to adjust the weight left or right though, he would see bigger misses. Overall though, he just has to do some more practice in order to square his club face at impact and that driver will be really good for him.
@@JamesRobinsonGolf To support the channel. I buy new clubs every 10 years unless i break one. And currently have Ping G430 4-PW AU$1850 with buggy, Callaway A club 80m beauty Callaway SW 50m, i need a Driver, 3Wood and a 65m gap wedge to complete my new set so i check out what is out there. Golf clubs here in Oz are generally cheaper ( at least according to prices i see here.). So new if the price is right or second hand if not. Love your content.
Price of these have got waaaaay out of hand driver 900 canadian plus tax Fairway woods 550 canadian totally over priced no reason for them to be priced like that

What a trash comment. This was a valuable video as a 12 hc is probably more relatable than a pro that won't miss as much with a club. I found it great and that new line of GT drivers look awesome!

Great video. It's always good to see proper fittings with normal golfers and the benefits it gives them.
Appreciate your time buddy 🙌🏼🎥
As a club fitter at the PGA Superstore here in Vegas the GT3 is the perfect club to fit for high launch players. Great video!!
John's a great fitter. Good to work with and knows his stuff!

2:25 Why have I not heard any where else about the “hand finished” aspect of the crown?! That’s pretty mind blowing
Great vid. Would love to see a video showing some drills to stop that leak out to the right. Maybe on the GetGoodAtGolf channel
That was some quality driver fitting that
He was hitting some beauty’s right down the middle once he was dialed in 😊

Love the fitting videos! This guy can move it out there but I need subtitles to understand what he is saying! 😂

What percentage of 12 handicappers drive the ball 294 total? Well done Brett and James.
