Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This RUclips channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

No need to try and ‘fade one’ or ‘draw one’, know your natural shot and just play that
Yup, Tig, Garret, Grant, Rick, Bubbie, they are over obsessed with hitting a draw. Just hit it straight. No one is impressed with a draw if it's 50 yards left everytime.
This apparently helped her get dialed in for the AIG Women's Open! Ended up being runner up! Congratulations to Charley!
Keep the videos with LPGA players coming. Such a win-win for everyone involved. Charley was a delight and I'm sure she will gain many new fans from this collab.
I agree. LPGA is more relatable as in distance for most people watching.

I honestly would love to see pro tournaments have both men's and women's tour players at the same event. The women don't hit it as far but tend to be WAY more accurate. I think if you equalize the distance advantage off the tee by simply having 2 different tee boxes, you'd have a competitive tournament.
Charlie was a lot of fun to watch because she is just so dang consistent. Almost every tee shot she hit, it was just immediate to pick up the tee and walk off. She just knows it is dead nuts in the center of the fairway. Another great video! Keep them coming!!!!!

Professional Women golfers accuracy is off the charts, they are so much more consistent than the men its crazy.

@@bwalsh1105 No offense taken! Womens sports just dont make it to the big screen like mens sports do and thats just facts. I dont think it is sexist or looking down on women at all, it is just how it is. Frankly I don't watch many womens sports. However golf is one of those rare ones that I just really enjoy how talented they are and I just dont see that much televised or spotlighted much. It is mostly just a selfish-ish thing where I would like it to be more known. Most people, even those that follow professional golf couldnt name 5 female golf pros and I just think that is a shame.
Charley is awesome. Love the no nonsense approach to golf. She hits so hard that she hits herself in the back of the head.

She’s a delight to watch and refreshing knowing a LPG professional can just step up and hit the ball, not taking minutes to figure it out. One thing I was hoping Charlie would say during the challenge was something she said during an on course interview when she came on tour. Asked what her thoughts were while playing. She replied, “Just hit it, go find it, and hit it again” Precious !!!
She needs a translator
She’s hugely talented. She doesn’t seem to need to think, just steps up and a perfect strike happens. The comment about pain in her hips is a worry given her tender years.

My favorite line of hers was from Pebble where she played well also. When asked about her aggressave play, her response was "Shy girls don't get sweets". Love it.
I'd love to see more videos like this with LPGA players. They're all absolutely incredible, and they deserve the exposure!

I played Golf with Charley when I was a Junior, she was missing greens on purpose (so she could practice getting up and down 18 times!)… different level even back then 💪🏼

I remember her dad bringing Charley to play with the Thursday society a couple of times. Charley was just a kid at the time but there was never a doubt she would be a pro golfer. Really love to see Charley win this week. Good luck and great video.
Loved Charlie's mentality. I resonate with that level of self discipline and self degradation upon the failure of delivering the intended shot mechanics. "I would rather saw my right arm off then go right". Too funny, too right. When you block or are out of sequence, your whole body knows it.
If I shot a round with all of Charley's "bad" shots, I would be so happy. Amazing player all around and great personality too!
Charley is so awesome to watch. She just hunts down pins every chance she gets and it makes for such good viewing. Her last round at Pebble this year was phenomenal!

Awesome content again 🔥 So much so, that this video and all the others of yours I've watched, have inspired me to try giving golf a go. Any thoughts/ideas on a set of absolute beginners clubs? Something very, VERY, forgiving would be ideal.
For irons get some second hand ping G series, muzino JPX series, or any other cavity back really, callaway big bertha, taylormade RBZ not a bad place to look... Do not buy new clubs if you are trying it out. Will be much easier to sell on second hand clubs if you want to upgrade...
For woods get some Ping G series again second hand.
Not a ping shill I promise but they are just typically very forgiving.

Even though I know this is one of the best Rick videos ever, it must be said that Pete's best video ever is also with "Charlie" Hull. RUclips it for yourself. Charlie is like magic: she brings out the best in certain chaps and Rick & Pete are prime examples. For example, Charlie teased Pete into putting well just like she teased Rick into showing some confidence in his game. The Pete & Charlie banter was the best ever: she kept on about his eyesight until he started rolling the rock at the hole instead of some target that no one else can see. Her back & forth with Rick was more like old mates who like each other: it was supportive not challenging. Good to watch back-to-back: Charlie with the old boys & former mates, Pete & Rick.
I love how hard she hits it. You can really hear from the contact. Honestly, to shoot 64 from the tips on a 7300 yard course is nuts, well done!

Rick said he hasnt practiced much at all lately. Shaping both directions requires some grinding. He's able to shape but has no control. Maybe that's why we are seeing him team up more lately
Great video, just when you think it’s not possible to love Charley Hull’s playing style anymore, boom there’s another gem. Super competitor with a no nonsense desire to hit good shots every time.

Ms. Hull, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Your tip to Rick using the alignment rod (at about the 12 min mark in the video), cured my smother / pull hooks with my irons! I have been struggling for the better part of a year, and your tip (ie. "feel") did the trick for me! I just can't thank you enough (along with Rick for producing his great videos)! By the way, I see that you are currently tied for first in the AIG; I'm rooting for you to win Sunday!

I’m still trying to figure out why exactly we are supposed to care about guy lol no offense but it feels like he is being forced on us. Don’t mind him on the podcast but Most of the other guests for these long videos are interesting for one reason or another. Guy may as well be any random guy. Kinda getting stale watching break 75s with just him and Rick
Because he's Rick's best bud. There's nothing better than getting to play some golf with someone you can cut loose with. Rick deserves that with all the content he releases, and so does Guy for the effort he's put into the channel.
