Too much emphasis is put on keeping the hands passive, but understanding proper hand action is critical for striking the ball well. Clubhead speed means nothing if you are wiping past the ball every time. Amateurs need to learn to get their hands turning down properly through the ball.
LOL one of the easiest things to do! To get yardage with a draw you have to give it height to run out. A cut is going to stall near the apex and float down. The difference between hitting a 3 and 7 draw is that you're hitting much slower with a 3 iron while trying to get the same flight-line as with a 7-iron! That is what makes it really tough, taking half swings with low-irons and still getting the correct flight-path. Somewhere between a chip and a pitch, when normally you're hitting at least 3/4 swings with the higher irons because shots are more consistent that way.
Collin is a mortal where there are some shots he can't hit comfortably. Tiger on the other hand can hit every shot at every distance with every club, as long as it's physically possible. When tiger stands in from of 160 yards hole, he must be like "that leaves me with 82 possible shots with 9 possible clubs including my putter"

That's where I so often see "coaching" as wasted money. I'd rather ask questions to the guy I"m hitting or playing with (who shows a nice level of skill)....and then go back and see what I can do to improve...for myself. My take...if you're not understanding and analyzing the dynamics of your own swing, then you're simply flailing with the opinions of others. Same is true about almost anything in life.. I cringe at so many people flailing and spending all kinds of money getting coaching at a driving range...lol.
Thank Goodness Tiger wasn't paired up with Mr. Interruption Jason Day. He's so comfortable around Colin. Brought the best out of him during this conversation
It's the combination of equipment and the player... I know for a fact that Tiger's irons are more workable because they are pure blades. I believe Colin has muscle cavity backs in his bag. Colin would give up distance if he were to use pure blades so he needs to trade off some control for distance and use muscle cavity clubs. Tiger is much more versatile because he can hit the distance needed with the blades - he does not need the help of distance technology in his irons - My 2 cents :P
I wish they’d just let it be tiger and Colin talking with trottie just sparking a topic. Last years content where they were doing short game and it was just the pros talking was the peak of this

@@samuelhwang9452 yes but it is more about personality makeup and who they are and how they think...the "where they grew up" is def part of it though but really a small part
He sounds like him too
if you listen to a Collin interview he has that same kind of instinct Tiger does
heck, there was a couple dialogs there where I couldn't tell who was speaking.
8:50 love tiger making the distinction about being aggressive to his spot.
Can Taylormade just replace Trottie with someone who actually listens to what these players say?
This guy is beyond awful. Stick to making clubs, chief.
@@lowcodelucas1088 9:50 "Imagine the pin is behind the trap. Show me a shot. Change clubs if you need to." What a douche. I love how the just ignore him. LOL
Yes please...
Pleeeease
They dont need to replace him, just remove him... he's super annoying...
Tiger drops a 6 iron 165 with a high cut, 168 with a high draw, then a low 3 to 163? Justin Thomas said 2-3 years ago that Tiger had shots he still doesn't have. Tiger showed here that Collin doesn't have those shots either. Really puts a lot in perspective as to why Tiger has 82 wins and a 23-24% win percentage. GOAT.
man at one point had an almost 50% win rate in every tourney he participated in during his prime.

I have learned a lot from this session ,thanks Talormade Golf Team!
Love the grin on tigers face when Colin asks him if he's using the speed of his hands to shape his draw and then admit he doesn't have that shot
Now this is some content!!! Amazing. Could listen for hours.
Best video yet,... just let them do their thing at let it roll, the end part was absolute gold, shame it finished!
Tiger and Morikawa are skilled...What's interesting with Tiger is he is physically and mentally playing chess when most others are playing checkers on the course. Great golfers, great video.
Collin is a true pro, really cool to see the two in a video together.
I bet its probably a little bit challenging to get these guys to open up about their own games, but less TM rep talking and more player to player chatter would make these great!
INdeed, that guy needs to shut tf up!
I agree, I like "Trottie" at times but he isn't what I like about these videos. Seeing these golf rock stars pick each other's brains, challenge each other, and.
give each other crap is what I enjoy most about these videos
That was gold would love another one with wedge shots around 100 to 130 yards.
What a video. Loved every second of this. Morikawa shoul have an amazing career. Tiger well we all know he's the GOAT 🐐. But that 3 iron at the end was a joke to have that kind of feel is crazy
This is why they call tiger the artist with shot adaption like that 💪
this was literally a free golf lesson for Collin from Tiger. Buddy was listening intently from every single word Tiger said.
This will be in a playlist on loop, I love these three, but when tigers says, now this is fun. That’s class!
Tiger to Colin: 'you'll get there son'-vibe when he hits the three iron
these 2 are great at explaining things, especially colin. Very intelligent, coherent, speaks well
Tiger WOODS is still a machine 18:40 Collin asks Tiger about when you slow the swing down your body still moving right... Tiger: CORRECT... As he just looks like he's in the zone with the irons...
Love this Taylormade family
Great session. It’s such an insightful conversation. I hope Tiger can come back.
Collin always bringing the conversation back to observing Tiger on course hahah
"I'm terrible at putting spin on the golf ball," says the guy who can spin chips back from 15 yards.
That's why he said he plays a ball with the most spin.
That Bridgestone he plays is something else.
@@John_Wood_ Yeah I tried that ball for 1 round and sliced my driver so much that it nearly came back and hit me in the face....think I'll stick with the pro v1 lol

That sound of Tigers strikes is just so pure
It's so good!
Yes Tiger Woods is good at golf
Tiger Woods is the GOAT on the range :D
He once said he was happiest with a bucket of balls and a brand new golf glove. Love it!
Tiger's secret to amazing iron play:
he's Tiger Woods
Love this video, in that it really enforces the fact that people need to figure out their own swings...possibly based on what others do or say....but not based on what others tell them to do.
Awesome. Not one word about moving the ball around in the stance, changing the shot-line etc.
I loved the video but absolutely hated the way the presenter is treating them like freaks "come on hit me a shot". I mean wtf dude...
this TM guy is annoying IMO
The sounds between Tigers and Collin’s sound is light and day. Incredible
Well they use different irons.
The similarities between these two is remarkable!😎👍
I wish they’d just let it be tiger and Colin talking with trottie just sparking a topic. Last years content where they were doing short game and it was just the pros talking was the peak of this
The one with Jason day, Rory and tiger? The guy from Taylor made try to insert himself in that one but got shut down and the pros talked.
I agree it was way better.
yeah 'trottie' is a full on knob rot
@@QenaitheCustodianGuard Yep that was the one
@@xInVINCEable41x that Taylor made guy also did one with Dustin and someone else hitting drivers, he was so annoying in that one.
Could listen to these two talk all day.
18:34 the GOAT teaches Collin the 160 yard 3 iron draw
this is the best Taylormade video ever posted
As good as Colin is when Tiger is playing he’s still head and shoulders the best iron player in the world
who is he?
I love all these videos these pros are doing about how to hit your clubs I’m learning a lot and taking away some of the stuff to try I think it’s awsome for golf even though most of us are not great golfers we all want to do better thank you
Tiger talking about Moe Norman, its uncanny how the legs and dropping the club were exactly what he would talk about and it looks really different in practice
Feels vs real! Love the down to earth discussions!
Tiger is ridiculous! So good! The GOAT! Love Collin! Go Bears!
Tiger flexed hard on the 3i shot. He calls out the club right before hitting the shot so that they had no time to react until the ball was in the air…well played Tiger…well played.
