I have been watching golf for more years than I care to admit. These two vlogs are the best I have ever seen.

We need more Jonesy and there is just something emotional with your videos. All the other content creators do silly games and bravado, this hits the ‘feels’. ❤

You love golf as much as this old duffer does. I've only visited St Andrews once, to walk around the perimeter. You two on the course, well it felt as though we were with you both. Simply the best golf film I have ever seen. Thank you.
What a great video. My son and I rented clubs and shoes and waited in the queue and 2 retired British Army officers let us joint them on the Old Course. Matt was 15. What a thrill for us, especially watching the 2000 Open on TV knowing we had walked over that famous bridge on 18. Thank you, Iona, for reminding me of such a wonderful memory. The best moment was when Matt hit a great drive on 14 and one of the British officers said to Matt’s great amazement, “You’ve gone straight to hell!”
There's so much I like about this video: the course itself, the calm and friendly atmosphere, the quality of golf (really great on the 17th!), and of course the one and only Iona :-)
What a round and what a caddie!! His encouragement and his word especially on the short putts were great. I’m going to try to remember his words when I play next.

God I love this game.....what a treat that was to follow along with. A good Welshmen on the bag, a foggy day by the sea and thoughtful golf shots. Perfect. The cuppa and pie at the turn were the bonus :)

Best tour around St Andrews I’ve ever seen/ heard on RUclips.Iona I love how you always trust your putting to get you out of any misplaced pitch. And Jonesy was just the best. The approach on 18 when he says ‘Valley’- no-one says the word Valley better than a Welshman!
I’m definitely coming to St Andrews for my 60th in March in 2026- not visited since for 40 years when I played a few courses around Gullane.I play a lot in North Wales coming from the North West but Golf in Scotland is just the best.

Absolutely fantastic video. The chemistry between you and Jonsey was electric in a strangely calm manner. The golf was great but the commentary while going around the course was brilliant.
That smile, after firing her tee shot over the O on 17, shows how much Iona really does love the game! And Jonesy was absolutely the consummate professional. I'll be rewatching this vlog again and again.

Birdie 16, Stripe one over the "O" on 17 followed by an up and down from the road, so close to birdie on 18. The Old Course was not about to give everything up that day. 😉 I'll argue you were in the red this round despite those 2 doubles. Nicely done.
We all know that everyone playing at the AIG will happily take -1 over those closing holes come late August. Iona, thank you for your sense of the moment within your respectful manner. If you have qualified, you'll have a head start with Steve on your bag for the tournament. Loved watching him take notes, checking your yardages, club selection, a consummate professional.
Good back nine Iona,the tension and concentration was being passed on to us viewers. The putts did eventually start dropping, much deserved for your overall play. Jonesy is an excellent caddie, kept you focused and calm when it could have gone very badly. Well done both, great viewing.

The way this is filmed makes the viewer closer to a round of golf, seeing shots from the golfer's perspective and showing how hard it can be to work things out, especially over some of the Old Course. I agree with Iona about the Old Course. I enjoy the loop and 14 through 17 but find the rest a bit of a blur despite playing the course several times. The OC is very special, but for me the New is much more enjoyable.

I’ve been patiently waiting for the “Back 9”. Two of my Clemson University Golfers (Thomas Higgins of Roscommon, Ireland and Jonathan Nielsen of Copenhagen, Denmark) are playing in the St Andrews Links Trophy Event in St Andrews this week . . . Day One on the New Course . . . Day Two on the Old Course. Seeing you play and your caddie explain, helps me enjoy their efforts all the more.
I treasure our time spent in patient, caring conversation. Thanks once more for carrying us along!!! It’s good to see you playing “at home”!!!

After 38 years living in England, I’m moving back to Scotland next year and Iona reminds me so often of what I’ve been missing all this time….the golf and the Scottish accents will be a salve to my soul….thank you lovely girl! ❤

These two vids were wonderful. The hole graphics that popped up were really, really good. Watching you play and the back and forth with Jonesy was very entertaining and fun to watch. And the old course is such an iconic place. Not sure why but I found these vids soothing in a way. The yellow gorse has a certain beauty that sits so well on courses like this. I was fortunate enough to visit St Andrews on a Sunday, when no golf is allowed, so I got to walk the entire course. This video brought back a lot of memories.
Said it before, Iona is the best golfer on youtube. Even without her 'A' game she's 2 over on a really hard course.

Iona I can't think you enough for the two videos, it had been a dream of mine to play the old course for all of my time golfing, I eventually (after many times in the ballot) got to play it with my brother nigh on 20 years ago now, it was incredibly special then and watching your videos flooding back along with a few tears which shows how special the memories are to me, so a very big thank you again for bringing the memories back. x
