Love the slow take asway...for myself, I am a big fan of Nelly Korda as well as Iona. I do a bit of hovering and like to put the ball off my front foot big toe to get the hit on the upswing...for that 20 extra yards of distance. Thanks Iona for sharing.

I learned today after watching this video, after 45 years of playing this game, that I should really only focus on ONE thing (club) in a range session….then digest and walk away! THANK YOU FOR THAT!❤

Thanks for the educational and fun videos Iona, enjoy them. I happen to be a retired hand surgeon in USA and of course have noted your comments about your wrist injury and surgeries; hope you continue to feel better and are able to enjoy your golf and other activities. Sorry you've been through so much. I do notice you use regular adhesive tape and worry that might inflame you skin. You might try some of the non adhesive type wraps; Some common types are Coban wrap are athletic (ankle sprain) prewrap. "Foam sport underwear"; "3M self adherent sports wrap." Hope it feels better.

Great tips there! Slowing down my driver swing is the thing I work on most. Feels like a pause at the top, but it's really just allowing my body to get in sync before the downswing sequence. As you said, slowing down the backswing allows the through swing to be faster--confirmed with a launch monitor. My natural tendency is to be too quick.

Thanks for this, Iona. My range sessions are always a struggle with that "drag and hit" routine you mentioned. I try to recreate all the good things I hope I do when I play.🤞 Stand behind the ball, pick a target, step in and perform. Range sessions are what proofs the pudding. It's great to get your insights on making the most of practice time.

Hi Iona, I love the way you present and deliver the information, almost in digestible chunks which as an amateur golfer is really helpful; you can just work on different parts of the video and then move on to the next stage when you feel you’re ready. Having had 4 surgeries: both shoulders and elbows, it’s hard to find rhythm and flexibility so anything you can suggest for less flexible people is very welcomed. Keep posting, they’re great 👍🏾

Was it Bobby Jones that said the most important 6 inches in golf are between the ears? Well, this remarkably clear tip shows those half dozen key inches are at the start of the backswing. Takes the (destructive) focus off hitting the ball and onto a slow take a way. Thank you Iona. A session on the range applying your advice, followed by a round ten shots better than my previous outing, and no blobs.
