Sometimes he has a blast with the cooks, he can tell who are short selling themselves and who are just as bad as their chef. The guys who are waiting on another place to call them back and when Gordon tells this "this is wrong" and they are like "yeah, that's what I been saying, it has to be like x but they want it their way"

See, what I appreciate about Gordon Ramsey is that he’s honest and understanding. He doesn’t outright blame just anyone or everyone, and if the food is actually good he gives the proper credit. I don’t feel he is lying at all, and he gives constructive criticism. That’s what I can appreciate and the reason why I like his shows that much. I would never act arrogant around Gordon, any advice I get from him I’ll follow to a tee because he’s really the expert.

Despite his reputation, Chef Ramsay is actually very kind and supportive toward staff. Before his Kitchen Nightmares series, he had some shows about his own restaurants. He always gave people a chance and tried to mentor them, teaching them all he could.
If Ramsay yells at you, it's because you really messed up and often you might have killed someone with your incompetence. His trademark fits are usually for people who get too big for their britches, acting like they're expert chefs when they aren't, and need to be taken down a peg so they can actually listen and learn something. As a general rule he seems to respect workers, at least if they are willing to put in the work. He came up from practically nothing himself, and it's hard to find good opportunities in the culinary world, so he has a lot of sympathy, too.
The way Gordon leaned in, got quiet and said "I'm not fucking around" absolutely cracked me up.
It makes me feel happy every time he says "thanks love" to the servers, he really treats them with politeness and respect always.
I love the last waitress, she's just so open and honest about everything because she knows the restaurant is trash

Most good places I've worked have outside cleaning services come in NIGHTLY to do a full clean of the kitchen, bar, and dining area. At the very least they come a few times a week.

It is embellished a bit for TV. But I guess a lot of these chefs and owner honestly believe their food is good but they want publicity through the show. Maybe they think that's what they need to be successful again?
I’m SHOCKED at how hard the tiramisu was. Even letting it sit out, I would think it would get moldy first before hardening like that
If it becomes completely air dried before the mold takes hold it could be left in the room almost indefinitely. That's the secret behind all those "I left my McDonalds hamburger in the fridge for three years and look at it, it looks completely fresh!" Yeah, it may look fresh but it's become air dried so it's hard as a rock and not really suited for consumption.
@@ingvarhallstrom2306 Also fridges take out the moisture from the food and keeps the temp low so it will prevent molds from growing but that's because the mold doesn't have any moisture to survive on
@@spiwolf6998 Doesn't the fridge just slow down the rate of bacterial growth? Because that's what mold is. The fridge doesn't prevent mold from growing, it just delays it.
