Very nice. I know you guys previously ran around the gt2 rs time in the development model. This new time is impressive and more in line with expectations.
With the current crop of Hypercars near release, this Czinger 21C is in my top 3, right alongside the Aston Martin Valkyrie and the Koenigsegg Jesko. Would love to see how all 3 compare with lap times on this track, and also other famous tracks like the Nurburgring!
Good as they are, none of them will beat an actual race car that's designed only for racing. Tires, suspension setup, aero, steering, race cars are specialized for lap times.
@@srinitaaigaura The Valkyrie already does because it's pretty much a prototype race car already. The Jesko is left to be tested and we'll the 21C is damn well close as well. Get used to a world where track weapon hypercars are basically race cars with numberplates.
on paper, I think Jesko is disadvantaged here since it's a world wide homologated car, and I don't think 21C is with such design (the one in this video didn't even have proper interior). Valkyrie is obviously not (and probably just street legal in UK and countries like UAE). Still, I would love to see Koenigsegg prove that their Jesko can compete with the like of 21C, Valkyrie, T.50, AMG One, and so on.
@@budokpantai I am assuming this C12 is a prototype, we don't know what markets it's homologated for just yet but if you can homologate design for NA markets you can usually meet homologation for any market. The Valkyrie meets homologation for Asia, Europe and Africa but not for US or AU although both regions have cars coming to them. AMG Project One and T50 I am not sure of either but I am almost certain cars are making their way to every market region regardless. In terms of performance on paper the JESKO should be the fastest after the Valkyrie but whether that checks out in reality is left to be said. The T50 will no doubt the the slowest due to its drivetrain. It's not really built for raw performance but rather a pure engagement.
I'm confused, so a GT3 level aero with wings and dings and skirts and about 20mm ground clearance has set a lap times faster than a Mclaren Senna road car that can be tracked. This Marketing stunt is nowhere near a production road car.
Been following you guys for a while now.. and always excited to catch updates on Instagram! Watching the car like this was something else! Keep up the amazing :D
Laguna Seca lap record is 1:05.786 by Marc Gené in a 2003 Ferrari F1 car. The production car lap record is 1:27.62 but how is this a production car? It's closer to a prototype than a production car.
Production, as in mass produced and sold to the general public. That may be their intent, but as far as I'm concerned a car isn't considered production until it is customer owned, so until that point this isn't any more a production car than the Rimac Nevera is.
@@cvgsqueegee i was thinking the same, their car isn't in the same category as the senna. this car looks more like an race/lmp car than a road legal car. i would compare it to the new toyota hypercar if they create a road going version of the hypercar.
I was at the previous test and have checked the car over. It's about the same type of car as the Senna (i.e. a jewel). It has nothing in common with an LMP style car. Also, it's on DOT rated tires.

If you're saying you're at GT3 + levels of aero, why compare it to laptimes o a Senna? Is the Senna at those levels of aero too? Why not the Senna GTR?
Three components: Aero is comparable, Weight is comparable, Power is comparable....plus GT 3 cars are not road-legal and the Czinger is (in California !)
@@kenmcanally4354 No it's not.. not even close.
@@kenmcanally4354 1250 hp for this and 800 odd for the Senna. It's a sad comparison
@@iwishyouwould1781 courtesy of Motor Trend Magazine: “Just 80 Czinger 21Cs will be made, priced from $1.7 million, plus taxes. Although the Divergent 3D process enables dramatic reductions in development and manufacturing times, each 21C will be meticulously hand-finished and hand-assembled at the company's Los Angeles-area plant, taking more than 3,000 hours to complete. The car is also 50-state legal in terms of both emissions and crash ratings and will also be able to be legally sold in Europe.”
@@kenmcanally4354 Interesting.. I still find it hard to believe. I think "legal in terms of both emissions and crash ratings" leaves a lot of room for other regulations it's lacking. It doesn't appear to have airbags which are required, I could be wrong. Thanks for the info tho.
*CONGRATULATIONS CZINGER TEAM* Wonderful American Dream Coming True. *LOVE IT*
The “lap record” claim doesn’t even make sense because there is no way that thing is street legal and the car they are comparing it to, the senna is a street legal production car
It’s an AMERICAN car company, I stopped watching the video right there, the Senna is from McLaren a European car manufacturer, that being said, Americans can make rockets, satellites, go to Mars if they want, but please stop trying making cars. It’s not exactly their field of expertise.
@@GTS18 it’s absolutely their(America) field of expertise.
@@GTS18 Who are you to say that? They're one of the prime leaders in car manufacturing, mainstream, performance, or otherwise. This car is slated to be a street legal production car, like the Senna. And to be faster than the Senna on a track that really doesn't favor high horsepower vehicles is extremely impressive. If you're deadset on comparing races (kinda weird), I would say Europeans could learn a thing or two from the Americans or Japanese and actually make a damn reliable car lol.
@@GTS18 Quit gatekeeping you weirdo

Congrats, folks! It feels so good to see a homegrown hypercar effort utilizing the absolute cutting edge in mfg, design, material science, etc, in concert with top notch talent, all of which come together to yield a lap record at Laguna Seca… and this for a company in its relative infancy, no less! Can’t wait to see what you got cooking up next… Once again, congrats, and keep up the good work!
Wondering why a 2.88L V8 instead of a 3L V8 ? And if the engine is based of a 4G63T as mentioned by someone else in the comment section then why not a 85mm bore and a 66mm stroke.
I doubt it's still 4g63t based, pretty sure that's just the engine they ran in the concept car many years ago when it was still called the blade
Awesome seeing you guys achieve this - found out about your cars about a year ago as well. Love seeing you put it on a track and let it rip - can definitely see the driver sending it on that final lap 👍
@CzingerVehicles Congratulations on an remarkable achievement! Beating one of Randy Probst's track times is a tremendous feat. What tires were used? Slicks or street legal/spec tires?

Love the car. But that video.... Didn't get to see it go round maybe more than one corner. Way too many cuts. Fewer cuts = more legitimacy. Can't wait to see these on the roads. And a decent driving video.

Seeing that it’s in a different category too the Senna its a different lap record, compare apples with apples instead of apples and oranges. Good to see the US produce a nice sounding car though..

Just a bit more hp than the Mclaren though? Massive achievement though for such a small company, well done !!
Just 300 Hp… thats nothing ^^
Very nice. I know you guys previously ran around the gt2 rs time in the development model. This new time is impressive and more in line with expectations.
Mr. Czinger looks like the perfect mesh of Ed Harris & Viggo Mortenson.
I think the hardest part of beating a Senna record, is not having Senna drive the car.
Ha. How many more seconds faster would it be if HE were driving???
Hopefully you get it of the track and into production soon , Love to see an oil Sheik wrap that heap around a tree
It's carbon fiber; good luck.
5 min video and nobody said word "Czinger"? How come? Or I missed it?
With the current crop of Hypercars near release, this Czinger 21C is in my top 3, right alongside the Aston Martin Valkyrie and the Koenigsegg Jesko. Would love to see how all 3 compare with lap times on this track, and also other famous tracks like the Nurburgring!
Good as they are, none of them will beat an actual race car that's designed only for racing. Tires, suspension setup, aero, steering, race cars are specialized for lap times.
@@srinitaaigaura no shit
It's not really built for raw performance but rather a pure engagement.
thank you for making a proper ultrawide video, went from not knowing this car to following it, just like that!
Congratulations from Poland. 💪🇵🇱💪
😂 😂 😂
Amazing car! Congratulations on the lap record!
I'm confused, so a GT3 level aero with wings and dings and skirts and about 20mm ground clearance has set a lap times faster than a Mclaren Senna road car that can be tracked. This Marketing stunt is nowhere near a production road car.
It runs on roads in the UK.

Where do I put my $1,000 down for pre-order?
peasant lol
That was nice introduction, thanks Mr. Czinger
Cool they beat the Senna with McLaren's nearly unlimited budget. That being said the Senna is a 2 seater and could drive to the track and back home.
It seems odd that they targeted a production car's lap time. Would be more interesting to compare it to an actual race car.
Nothing short of INCREDIBLE!
Congratulations, you have beaten the Senna by 2 seconds, a street legal car with two seats, interiors and air conditioning.
and "only" half the price of the Czinger at $1 million lol
They made only 500 sennas not really a production car. Yeah let's compare a new car maker to a 35 year old ultra high performance car company. Does that sound like an easy task. Grow up
@@Bigfoothawk nobody said that the senna was "mass produced" but 500 units is a lot more than a planned 80. The senna wasn't tailored / tuned specifically for this one race track either by a team of engineers.
@@Bigfoothawk that's exactly my point, they shouldn't have compared the two because they are too different.

Just curious to see if you had a response? Cool car gents.
that's what I thought when I saw the car didn't have a complete interior. I don't think that was a production spec car.
@@budokpantai I think they are going performance first interior and design last.
@@LimitPro1 if so I don't think they can compare the lap time with any production car. They need to go back with a production spec car.
@PREDATOR21C what picture?
@PREDATOR21C you can see that in the video when they show the cockpit. If you watch any video about their supposedly production spec car (in blue color) last year and compare both car interior, the one in this video is obviously incomplete.
