I just happened to be on vacation in Monterey this week, and I’ve always wanted to see Laguna, so I went up there on Monday and saw this exact car on the exact date they beat the record! That’s so cool.
I love living here...the car scene is just part of it though. You should plan to come during car week, check out the "Exotics on Broadway" event that is on Saturday. It's free and it's hard to believe how much car eye candy there is. It really blew up this year, I couldn't believe how many people were there.

But Koenigsegg jesko record is 1:24:86 in street mode and it dont got 3 electric motors and a v8 with 950 hp so Koenigsegg jesko is all v8 motor with 1600 hp so czinger just proved how impressive Koenigsegg's record is.

For the uninitiated, claiming it won only by tenths, less than a second. Leguna Seca is a lot shorter track compared to the Nurburgring Laptimes that we're used to seeing. Hence why we dont see the time difference in seconds. Here even Tenths account for Years in car time. Excited to see them both push limits.

Would've expected much better lap time around 1:23. It looked like the car was struggling to rotate and understeering. The Vmins on each turn weren't even that high for a car that's supposed to have crazy aero and so light.
Someone, who's not a professional driver, went out in a McMurtry Speirling Pure for the first time, running only 50% power and downforce and accidentally broke this record by several seconds. Let that sink in. Fans are truly OP
Amazing car, Jesko is amazing as well. I hate the idea of losing my passion of internal combustion engines though the McMurtry "accidental" flying lap 6 seconds faster than this record is crazy.
Honestly, I could see the top speed version of the Czinger being the world record in the near future. They should go for it! I cannot wait to see what comes from this brand next.
Bravo to Czinger and the Driver! But don’t expect it to last, Koenigsegg wasn’t trying their hardest at all. They will come back, and they will shatter these records to oblivion. Saying this respectfully, we witnessed their record lap in person. They have so much room to improve already with what they have and didn’t have to use their resources to the extreme. The driver was inexperienced on the track and so was the car, but this is the start to a great rivalry I believe. Keep pushing the limits! We love this as Motorsport enthusiasts
This is my second time watching this lap. It almost looks slow with how smooth and stable it is. And then you look at the speeds it's pulling on corner exit and from 100-140 mph.
Koenigsegg fans are insufferable in here. Both cars have a lot more time that can be made. Dont have to rage and spred misinformation because your favorite car brand lost a record.
Brother, you should see some of the reasons the Egg Fanboys 🍳 gave and I am dead serious when I say this. 1.From Jesko being 100 hp less some 400 hp less during record run. 2. To single seater 3. To Not roadlegal 4. To test driver 5. To None sold. 6. One evey brought up "Crashtest databases" 😂😭😭 And that's just from what I remembered. They can't just accept it for some reason, it's like they're held hostage. Both cars efforts should be respected.
Gotta say that i reckon if they go back again with the Jesko and use a driver that has previous experience of the track other than on playstation plus a proper harness (they used a regular seatbelt) i think they could definatly move the goalpost again with a larger margin than -0.00.09 .

The first turn was epic 160mph slowed down like it was nothing. That new 3D technology is really effective i See never seen a car approach a turn that fast before

Impressive time. The McMurtry was quicker (6s) but it's not a production car, and the Czinger isn't a fan car. For what this is it's really quite amazing.

You can see how much better lines Joe Miller is doing with the Czinger 21C compared to the ones done by the Jesko driver. I believe a more seasoned driver with the Jesko would go sub 1:24 mark or at least nudging it.
I honestly thought Czinger can go at least 1 sec faster than Jesko Attack record since it's lighter and more track bias compared to a Jesko Attack. If that's their best time, I reckon Koenigsegg can go back and put a pro driver, and easily get better lap time.

Probably has 3 or 4 more seconds in it with proper setup. Driver was fighting catastrophic understeer. I felt the fear through the screen lol

I timed the McMurtry Spëirling while they were doing an exhibition lap during the Rolex reunion at 1:18 I guess it’s not really in production yet?
It's a track only vehicle and all the laps they show are from the track only vehicle. The Pure "production" version is not out yet .
