  • A review and demonstration of the Foster/Fostair NextHaler inhaler device. I present the device and demonstrate how to use it effectively and correctly. Also some information about the recommended doses, what medications it contains.
    Foster NextHaler is a treatment for asthma and COPD. NextHaler refers to the specific inhaler device used which is a dry powder inhaler (DPI) as opposed to the regular Foster which is an MDI (see how to use the regular Foster here: • Foster (or Fostair) in... ).
    Always discuss with your doctor about your inhaler treatment, to make sure you are using the intended doses for your own particular case.

    Great video thank you, I have a couple of questions. Is it normal to have the shakes for half an hour after talking the morning dose, yet not after my evening dose? Why is it that sometimes I get like particles in my mouth and other times nothing? 😊

    What is the main difference between the foster nexthaler and the normal foster?

    • @DrStefanCristianStanel
      @DrStefanCristianStanel  2 года назад +1

      Nexthaler is a dry powder inhaler while the normal foster produces a spray of aerosol. But they contain the same medication

    Should this medication have effect inmediately after use or you will only see improvement after a long period of time (days or weeks)?

    • @DrStefanCristianStanel
      @DrStefanCristianStanel  2 года назад +1

      you may feel some effect right away as it has a quick onset. However if you are trying to achieve asthma control for example it may take a while for the corticosteroid in the inhaler to kick in. But depends on correct inhaler technique as well and sometimes you may need to follow-up your condition with your doctor quite often at the beginning

    is it okay if i dont spit? just swallow the water after gargling?

    • @DrStefanCristianStanel
      @DrStefanCristianStanel  2 года назад +3

      Ideally to spit it out to not swallow any remaining medication, basically the gargling is to just rinse out any remaining powder that wasn't inhaled. Only the medication which is inhaled correctly will help the lungs. swallowing or letting the powder remain in your throat can increase the risk of developing side effects such as thrush or voice hoarseness
