this lens works fine with Viltrox ME-2 adaptor on canon ..autofocus..aperture everything works..albeit a bit noisy...best value for the price paid though..
I'm waiting on my second purchase of this lens. The first one broke and I had to use needle nose pliers to get it off my camera body. I hate to buy another after that experience but I used it often. My biggest downside of the lens is that occasionally you get a mustard-yellow cast to some of the photos. Your video was gorgeous! For the price, this lens does a beautiful job. You wouldn't be able to convince most people you used such a cheap lens for your video!
Hey Matt, I don’t know what your current situation is in life, but I think that you need to keep making videos. If you enjoy doing this I think you can go really far. I assumed you had at least 10k subs until I looked. Post films or photos or gear reviews, but keep making things.
Great video! Love it. Subbed and hope to see more content from you man. I've got to admit you speak fast but turning on the caption helped me understand everything. Good job!
I thought that you’ve been using the Fuji xt3? Let me know when you’ve created some content with it. Also, I absolutely love the quality of your content man, you need more subs!
Got a video coming on the XT3 don't worry! And for the product shots I had an led panel through a circular diffuser behind the lens then I just hit edges of the lens with the slightest amount of light from 2 other less to edge them out of the dark background
I haven't used them all so I can't really say but I got a used samyang 35mm t1.5 just yesterday and it's sharp, bright and I got mine used for a decent price so if you're ok with manual it's pretty good. If not I'd imagine the sigma art lenses have a good option for a 35, it just depends on what you want or need
Maikel Cozijns thank you I'm glad you enjoyed it! And unfortunately I don't have the LUT for sale and If I were to sell it, it would need to be fixed as there's a bit of a problem with how it renders highlights beyond 80-100 IRE
Thank you! And at the moment I don't, the LUT has a bit of an issue with how it handles anything over 80IRE because I messed developed improperly so it's not fit to be sold
do you have it on a canon camera? if so theres a wee button labelled Av somewhere, hold that then rotate the dial for shutter and the aperture should change instead
Adam Younis I use premier for editing but I make the titles in after effects. In terms of filters I use a LUT that I made in lightroom on my footage just loading it into premier in the colour workspace
Assuming you have an apsc camera then it should be fine, the distortion would be my only concern. If you have the kit lens already however that would also be more than adequate
Just wow, you could tell you put lots of thought and effort in your videos. Hope your channel grows man.
Thank you, means a lot!
*Sets playback speed at .75
Thanks bro
Thanks :D
Literally my music playlist and favorite hobby merged together. Subscribed! Great footage! Might consider buying this lens.

It's hard to find a 50mm EF-S or 35mm EF lens for a decent price. Sure I have a zoom that covers 50mm on my 7D, but it's not the same.
just thank you for be alive and keep going like this!
Thank you I'm glad you found it useful!
B-roll was so epic. Subbed
You need to make more videos! You would do awesome and grow pretty fast, just slow your speech. Everything else is great!
I did not expected such a video omg, nice shots dudeeee! subscribed

omg, nice review dude, using nice lo-fi(hip-hop) beats, and beautifull cinematic captures
Thank you glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the info about the mc-11. I was wondering about that!!
Great video! Love it. Subbed and hope to see more content from you man. I've got to admit you speak fast but turning on the caption helped me understand everything. Good job!
Me (Being from NI): Uh huh, yup, ok
Everyone else (not from NI) : WTF
Amazing b-roll man! beautiful!!!
beautiful, happy to be your
So much talent and such good quality video and no subs? Why?
I admire that you put the subtitle. and thanks for the review
Glad you found them helpful!
Awesome video quality, great job!
I love the tones in your video😻
Damn 🔥🔥🔥those colors and thanks for the video planning on getting the lens
Lance Caraig thank you! Glad you liked the video, hope it was useful in deciding whether to get the lens
Need more video.. i like your style!

Also, what’s your setup for the product shots? Those are beautiful!

You are a 👑, subbed. Amazing B-Roll
Which lens you consider the best 35mm for the a7s? Im looking for some low/medium budget options
I haven't used them all so I can't really say but I got a used samyang 35mm t1.5 just yesterday and it's sharp, bright and I got mine used for a decent price so if you're ok with manual it's pretty good. Great video man!! Awesome quality.
One tip is to try to speak a little slower.. other then that, great Job!
This video rlly put other channel with bigger subs to shame😆 by the way, do you find the AF reliable for a-roll/talking head?
Thank you! and tbh I wouldn't trust it to keep track of a subject
your footages are really amazing.
Thanks so much!
Please what camera do you use
Great review, i"m sure if you keep going this way your channel will grow fast! Only one question, do you sell your lut from this video? its amazing!
Maikel Cozijns thank you I'm glad you enjoyed it! And unfortunately I don't have the LUT for sale and If I were to sell it, it would need to be fixed as there's a bit of a problem with how it renders highlights beyond 80-100 IRE
Subscribed. This is a good content and well presentation.
How much did you pay for that lens?
Amir Hamzah thank you, I got the lens for a little under £80.
i able to buy 2nd hand for £37 yesterday at mint condition, i love very much on my old rebel.
@@AmirHamzah_MAHBAR for that price it's definitely worth it, that was a pretty good deal
Wow!.. stop the bike !. I put 0.75 in order to listen to you😳😳. Thanks by the way. Will wait for the sony 1.8, hopefully will be out on 2019.
Your video is amazing. excellent.
I am your 379th subscriber. Will see after 1 year.
This video is so good.😀
Holy b-roll 🥰😍😍
great video man, very informative. Thank you and keep it up. Just one comment, your voice is a bit low, maybe if you can knock it up a little bit.
Love your colorgrade! Are you selling this LUT?
Thank you! And at the moment I don't, the LUT has a bit of an issue with how it handles anything over 80IRE because I messed developed improperly so it's not fit to be sold
@@Made_by_Matthew oh ok. I'll take a tutorial then lol. it's so good!!!
great review thanks man
use a recorder to film in 4k on your a7s? or do you have the ii
I use a recorder with the original a7s
Brooo, where did you get this track from???
It's called surf I think, The link is in the description
I’m from NI I totally understand every word mate
i dont get it , u only have a few-hundred subs, I now sub it to support this amazing channel. good review!!!
is this compatible with canon rebel eos t7i? or do I have to buy an adapter for it
It's an ef mount so it should be fine
Love the footage but you should speak a little slower and louder, had to watch three times just to get the info 😂
I love your work. im subbed now
thank you!
4k video 🔥
Please, slow......down...........
Hia would this lens be compatible with a fujifilm x series mount? (aps-c)
No it has a Canon ef mount. Even with my Canon to fuji adapter it doesn't work great so I'd avoid this lense for fuji
But wouldn't it be equivalent to a 50mm on an EOS-M? and A7s is a full frame so it'd be at 35mm
Yes
How do you change the aperture? I'm at a loss with mine
do you have it on a canon camera? if so theres a wee button labelled Av somewhere, hold that then rotate the dial for shutter and the aperture should change instead
soooo goood!
thank you
Thank you glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent video mate.
However the narration is just too fast. Even the automatic subtitle misinterpret 😊
what different 35mm yongnua and 35mm canon??
Both have ef mounts and will work with ef mount cameras but canon lenses are made by Canon.
Also canon’s has 5 aperture blades while yongnuo has 7.
what a great video bro
Thank you, glad you found it useful!
Matt Thompson I got question brother are you using Premier and what filter are you using too
Adam Younis I use premier for editing but I make the titles in after effects. In terms of filters I use a LUT that I made in lightroom on my footage just loading it into premier in the colour workspace
Matt Thompson overall it's just amazing brother
Thank you so much! it means a lot!
does ur lens make noise when u record video on autofocus ?
I don't use autofocus for video but I'd imagine this lens' motor does make some noises when autofocusing in video
Your not suppose to use Auto focus on video mode
i guess i won't be getting this lens especially after watching this video
There are definitely much better options
@@Made_by_Matthew thanks
Hi would it be good to make beauty video. I am a newby and looking for value lenz TY
Assuming you have an apsc camera then it should be fine, the distortion would be my only concern. If you have the kit lens already however that would also be more than adequate
Matt Thompson Thank for the reply
Yo, Northern Irish?! I came on here to see the lens, but yessss let’s link up @byjacobhenry on Instagram
Realy nice video :D but pleeease slow down :D you speak so fast and with that music overlay and my language abilities its real struggle :D
You speak to much fast.
