Well bought Robin-- You have a knack for using these bargain finds to make absolute street art.. It illustrates how much the photographer has to do with the image making.. not just the gear. Nice choice of using the Nikon for a full frame alternative.. Not only are they great, capable cameras,, but the lenses are plentiful and are becoming genuine bargains. Great work--Keep shooting... We'll be watching..
Thanks Clint, you are being too kind! These cheap lenses are so fun to use. Of course, shooting as a hobby, photography should be fun! It is not all about gear, but what we do with them that matters more.
Thank you for the review, some day my order will be delivered, I can't wait to get my hands on it! I have never had a prime 35mm before.....and no I will not shake mine just in case it falls to bits....once again thanks for the review....
Well my lens was delivered 4 weeks later, I have used it and wow what a great lens it is, warning though it is not waterproof, so it is a good weather lens, and my lens does not rattle, best wishes.....
Hi Robin, Well as a result of your review, and sample photos, i have just ordered myself this very lens! Should be with me in a couple of days. It looks a fun lens to work with, and my expectations are real. But for what i need it sounds a goodie! Btw i am marrying mine with a M5 primarily, and if its good enough on my 77D. Looking forward to updating you when i get to test it out. Thank you for your honest reviews.
Thank you for the interesting😂 video. I bought the 50mm version for my d3400 I was pleasantly surprised with the good pictures it produced. Ps I won't let you shake my version of their work.
Could the noise you hear be part of the AF mechanism? I have a Sigma lens that has that same noise when you shake it and I was told that it's because of the AF.
Hi Robin, do you know of an adapter that allows you to use full frame lenses on Olympus Micro Four Thirds cameras, while maintaining autofocus and allowing the focal length to be doubled ? If I put an 85mm 1.8 EF lens on MFT Camera, I want it to become a 170 focal length just like when a Micro Four Thirds lens doubles (Olympus 45mm 1.8 becomes 90mm 1.8 Full Frame equivalent). Is this possible ? Thanks for your help. Thanks for all the great videos that you provide.
Curious what you find are the best points of a Nikon, in your use? I've never used Nikon (except a few "here take a picture of me" from my father in law's full frame)
There was nothing that I particularly liked about the D600 honestly. It was a good entry-level full frame DSLR, all-rounder, and nothing outstanding. But I got it for cheap, so no complains here.
@@avsthomas depends if you like street shooting and most always shoot stopped down to get everything in focus then f2.8 would be just fine. plus the small pancake like design looks great on camera and its non obtrusive.
Lol! In the last minute or so, it seems that you have found another use for this lens as a percussion instrument😄 I have a nasty Canon zoom kit lens that rattles even more than this!
The shot of the people on the crossing at 4mins 41 is beautifully composed and timed. It caught my eye.
It's always nice to find these "cheap" gems. Small price and great fun!
Yeap, dirt cheap, yet produces great results
Shake vigorously before use😂 Great shots as usual.
The more you shake it, the sharper the lens is!
Dust reduction before mounting

I love your enthusiasm, Robin! What a great deal you found, too!
Hello Robin! the yongnuo 35 vs nikon 35 which is better? Is there much difference in image quality and focusing speed? greetings from chile :D
I have got it on my 6D . It is an amazing lens. The flaws make it even better. I you do not expect Leitz-grade bokeh and sharpness, it is a fun thing.
Indeed not the sharpnest lens out there, but man for that price, it does a lot!
Main point is that it’s sharp enough and really now all you need is a subject to photograph.
I have that lens for my Canon 6D. I like it, it's just a little noisy. Nice pictures though!

Thank you Robin .
Thanks Christine!
Atlast a review where this cheap lens was respectfully appreciated…
Thanks for posting this Robin!
That lens seems like the orange juice of glass- the more you shake it, the more consistent the flavor lol. Fun stuff, as always!
Oh yes keep shaking it
@@robinwong😂
The photos you show came from the D600 OR FROM THE D50?
Thank's Robin!🤗
I have this lens before but i sell it because it was inaccurate af on my d5600, d5600 doesn't have af calibration it always back focus

is this cheaper is asia perhaps? just looked on amazon over 120 for this
I got it used. In used market it should be cheap
Well…I just ordered one (used) for $65 USD……until I can get a Nikon or Tamron…thanks again for posting this!
Nikon d600 usable? I have 5d mk2 now.

Maybe, that should be the case. Else there is no other moving parts!
I use this Youngnou 35mm lens on my Nikon D5500.

Glad I can share!
try the 40mm pancake yongnuo. im sure youll love it
Good Point but why you should take the 40mm 2.8 over the 35mm 2.0? What benefits has this to accept and loose a Stop of light and Bokeh?

I have tried it. And sold it off.
the end of this video is Hilarious!😂
Heh, keep it shaking!

I must audition for an orchestra or music play
All that shaking of the lens reminds me of my OCD😅
sup my Malaysian people, hello from USA NY, robbie style.
Heyyyyyyyy. Let's do this!
