I'm a man utd fan but im wishing Liverpool for a good manager we've had to change managers like 10 times in the past 10 years, he really should have said hes leaving towards the end of the season not as the season is in the mid stages so it doesnt ruin their morale.
Indont think I will ruin there morale at all. He said he’s announced it now at it would be a bit of a surprise at the end of the season especially if he wins something.
They've all known since November and it's changed nothing It wasn't made public then because Liverpool wanted to scout managers. They've spoke to Xabi Alonso, he clearly ain't turning the job down and he will join in the summer (just can't announce it because he under contract at leverkusen)
The timing is absolutely brilliant (as it was with Dortmund) and goes to show that he always has the bigger picture and the club‘s best interest in mind. This way, he gives the club plenty of time to plan ahead for a smooth transition and at the same time primes everyone to give it their all for one last wild ride.
Xabi has to be the successor. He has a winning mentality playing at Liverpool and Real Madrid, understands the culture & city, and doing very well at the moment in Germany and was good in Spain as manager
You belittle Julian Nagelsmann because of Bundesliga, even though he is an experienced Champions league manager. But Xabi Alonso is the perfect fit. LOL
Everyone is saying Alonso but i dont think soo he doesnt have the experience with the type ov players that liverpool has and the fact is any manager that will come into this team will want to build there own legacy not to continue with Klopps leagacy which means new tactic new attitude and new players
It wouldn't surprise me if the replacement is already signed on board, but in total secrecy. The club has known since November he was going, so they would hardly have just sat there and said, " Ah well, we'll sort this next June!" I don't think any media speculation is worth a jot at the moment. Results from the rest of the season could alter who is favourite now. But the club will know best and as a Liverpool supporter whoever they chose will do for me.
Top choice: Xabi Alonso, good game record so far and got history with Liverpool. But it would be premature for him to manage Liverpool at the end of season since it's just the first sign that he could be a top manager. Should keep an eye on him for another year then it'll come clear whether there's a smart manager in him. De Zerbi: Probably the second best choice by FSG preference, he can do a great job establishing a competitive team with small budget, but managing Liverpool and Brighton are different concept, the model works for Brighton might not as effective for Liverpool. Zidane, Mourinho: Not of versatile and long term manager as they never did it with a less dominant club in league or building a team from ground up. Besides they have too much bonds with other clubs which makes me wonder how much they will commit to the role as Liverpool manager. Gerrard: Pure sentimental choice, worst candidate on the list as he haven't prove his ability as manager in any major competition or league. Ange: Same as Gerrard, haven't really prove that he's up there to head to head world's best managers in any major competition. My thought is that Liverpool should appoint Pep Ljinders as interim manager if that's possible. He knows the Klopp legacy well enough to keep the Klopp momentum going for another year. Then Liverpool can witness if Xabi is the real deal and got a whole year to screen their options.
@@RictaScale.Officialwithout ronaldo and benzema couldn’t do anything why do you think he’s stayed out of work so long and he said himself he doesn’t want a job in the prem
The premier league experience being necessary argument is kinda blown out of the water by the fact that the only PL winning manager to have previous PL experience at another club was Claudio Ranieri.
It's just typical nonsense and elitism from fans of PL clubs, Frank has never managed a team expected to control games which team of Liverpool's statue has to do, he might be able to do it but Nagelsmann is more proven at that level and style.
My top 5: 1. Iraola 2. Xabi Alonso 3. De Zerbi 4. Nagelsmann 5. Rúben Amorim Alonso has been brilliant for Leverkusen, but there's no guarantee it'll be the same at Liverpool. The fans need to manage expectations
It has to be Xabi. It makes too much sense. If for some reason it doesn't happen I would say next likely would be 2. De Zerbi, 3. Thomas Frank, 4. Nagellsman, 5. Zidane
Pep had only done one season as Barca B’s manager before taking the Barcelona job. Xabi has played under the best managers in the world. Sometimes you have to take a risk on someone with “less experience” because very few managers have IT and he definitely has it.
Yeah. And technically speaking, other than having the world class managers like Pep and obviously Klopp, everyone is going to be a risk and a gamble anyway so might as well get the best gamble.
Think the timing isn’t an issue. He informed the club and players in November and the standards were still there. Also he has to come and announce it now because what he’s done is allow the club to do business and interview mangers so the club have time to choose right.
Pep, Xabi & de Zerbi would be my 3. Need to recreate the Liverpool vibe ,pre-Souness, where there was a natural hierarchy with ready-made successors who see the value in a ‘Liverpool way’
Eddie Howe needs to be respected and on that list. The things he has achieved at newcastle despite having to use unknown youth players because of his growing list of injuries has solidified his place to either be the next England Manager or another top club in the EPL.
DeZerbi is the magician who finds diamonds in the rough, performs Houdini hoodoos, hones his players, hovering over their progress, and hocks them for heavenly millions. Handed handsome results. ---------------------- Imagine harnessing the extra milage from what exists, polishing and regenerating the antiques.
This is such a fun eps, McKenna made some valid points with a bit of humor and Flex bantering him. Really iffy about Mourinho as a candidate, tho. Agree with Flex on that point.
Rather, and please read till the end, Liverpool needs to look at what Brighton does. Knowing very well that managers each have a style of play and hence have a certain type of players they want. Brighton studies the different coaches and players around the world and makes sure they recruit only personnel who fit into an already existing system. Liverpool can't hire Diego Simeone because he is a defensive coach. And plays in a 4-4-2 where he wants numbers behind the ball. They can't hire someone like Potter because he wants his team to keep the ball, rather than progress the ball (the way Klopp and Ange Postegulu does) It has to be a manager who can: 1. Press from the forward line. 2. Wants everyone higher up the pitch. 3. Won't drop a player because of poor form. 4. Like every player to cross (or play a cross field pass) whenever possible. 4. Is sentimental and won't quickly turn his back on a player 5. Is immune to media and fans criticism. 6. Isn't into mind games 7. Manages injury prone players. Etc.. The new manager needs to not pick fights with the board or the owners. He shouldn't criticize their ability to spend and create a poor relationship with anyone affiliated to the club. The fans, players, management and owners need to be in sync. The manager shouldn't try to change the current wage structure, spending structure and leadership in the club. Klopp stuck with Henderson even when there were better players IMO. He needs to know how to keep players' egos down and make sure players are down to earth Otherwise he won't harmonize with the current players at the club. Gerrard, Alonso etc have to be these types of personalities.
It's funny, I'd completely forgotten about Franks but he'd be a major shout for me. He's mature, confident, eccentric. Alonso is the romanticist's choice; it seems ideal in so many ways but has he got enough experience to rely upon when things get difficult? That's the issue

I actually think De Zerbi fits Liverpool more than Alonso; he fits the FSG model. He’s passionate, clever, plays exciting football etc.
Too early for De Zerbi, I think it would be like having Brendan Rodgers all over again
De Zebu has taken Brighton backwards this season. He also causes a lot of arguments and talks to much. It’s Alonso for me.
I think Unai Emery is worth a mention, criminally underrated
i think hansi fleck or xabi alonso can do great job
flick is going to bayern
Great content guys, love to see it ❤
I've never seen long hair suit anyone less 😂😂😂
Do realise he doing it for charity so bit stupid to even comment on this regardless..
1. Ange
2. Xabi
has to be one of these for me
I agree with this 1000%
I'm a man utd fan but im wishing Liverpool for a good manager we've had to change managers like 10 times in the past 10 years, he really should have said hes leaving towards the end of the season not as the season is in the mid stages so it doesnt ruin their morale.
Indont think I will ruin there morale at all. He said he’s announced it now at it would be a bit of a surprise at the end of the season especially if he wins something.
They've all known since November and it's changed nothing
It wasn't made public then because Liverpool wanted to scout managers.
They've spoke to Xabi Alonso, he clearly ain't turning the job down and he will join in the summer (just can't announce it because he under contract at leverkusen)
He had to come out with it because others found out about him leaving , and he wanted to be the first to tell the fans
As a United fan I loved Jose. If Jose got the players he wanted I’m certain he would still be the United manager
“Eras come to an end” - ETH
His era didn't even start😂
😆🤣😆🤣@@eldys5919
He meant Utds
Who??
Yep, and a golden new era for Liverpool is much more likely than one for United under ETH lol
I dont think Xabi leaves unless he wins the Bundesliga
The next manager to replace klopp will be under tremendous pressure because the fans expect to be same level as JK😂
If he doesn’t win the bundesliga this year he’ll never win it lol. It’s not set up for any club other than Bayern to win. This season is an anomaly
Why would that affect anything?
Which he will
Which he probably will. Hasn't lost a game whole season
Think I’d want Thomas Frank tbh. Proven in league now. Great character. Natural next step for him in his career.
Thomas Frank is a good manager he maybe could fit in at Anfield
Xabi has to be the successor. He has a winning mentality playing at Liverpool and Real Madrid, understands the culture & city, and doing very well at the moment in Germany and was good in Spain as manager
You belittle Julian Nagelsmann because of Bundesliga, even though he is an experienced Champions league manager. But Xabi Alonso is the perfect fit. LOL
What do you mean by Bundesliga tax? Alonso is the same with no CL experience?
Everyone is saying Alonso but i dont think soo he doesnt have the experience with the type ov players that liverpool has and the fact is any manager that will come into this team will want to build there own legacy not to continue with Klopps leagacy which means new tactic new attitude and new players
UTD fans smiling even without Klopp they still getting 7up😂😂😂
Boring that now klopp the legend apparantley only 1 league title in 9 years and barley did anything with Dortmund so overrated it’s unreal
Vamos Jurgen ❤
Ange Postegoglou 🙌🏻
Klopp will stay in the end of the season
My top 3
De Zerbi
Zidane
Naglesmann
My top 3
De Zerbi
Zidane
Naglesmann
Zidane is the only manager available that is of the status of klopp
Man. Imagine that.
Zidane becomes manager. And wins 3 Champions Leagues on the bounce like he did at RM!!
@@RictaScale.Officialwithout ronaldo and benzema couldn’t do anything why do you think he’s stayed out of work so long and he said himself he doesn’t want a job in the prem
Lol at Zidane, without CR7 and inshallah. You can see who the young FIFA kids are with these takes
The premier league experience being necessary argument is kinda blown out of the water by the fact that the only PL winning manager to have previous PL experience at another club was Claudio Ranieri.
It's just typical nonsense and elitism from fans of PL clubs, Frank has never managed a team expected to control games which team of Liverpool's statue has to do, he might be able to do it but Nagelsmann is more proven at that level and style.
...and Kenny Dalglish.
I speak for everyone when I say Gerrard is the best choice.
For all United and City fans yeah
Harry Rednapp waiting for a phone call apparently.😂😂😂
Why even bother giving Lawrence an opinion? Makes Rory Jennings sound like Pep Guardiola
🤣
As a Liverpool fan i would also include Unai Emery
My top 5:
1. Iraola
2. Xabi Alonso
3. De Zerbi
4. Nagelsmann
5. Rúben Amorim
Alonso has been brilliant for Leverkusen, but there's no guarantee it'll be the same at Liverpool. The fans need to manage expectations
Ange should be in with a shout, he’s a Liverpool fan and plays a similar style, the spurs players are always saying about his big personality too
#1 Alonso
#2 Ancelotti
#3 Inzaghi
#4 Ange
#5 de Zerbi
You forgot Guardiola with all the crap Man City are in i would not be surprised if he was looking for a new job on his level.
If Alonso wins the Bundesliga by beating Bayern then he would be close to Klopp's pre-Liverpool achievements.
Thomas Frank really impresses me, if Alonso doesn’t work out, then he’s my man.
Laurence 🐐❤❤
It has to be Xabi. It makes too much sense. If for some reason it doesn't happen I would say next likely would be 2. De Zerbi, 3. Thomas Frank, 4. Nagellsman, 5. Zidane
Why are people saying they couldn't see this coming, this is good news for Liverpool, roll on the future!
I think maybe Unai Emery might be something Liverpool are already thinking about .
1. Xabi Alonso
2. Unai Emery
3. Julian d
4. Arne Slot
5. Simeone Inzaghi
Pep had only done one season as Barca B’s manager before taking the Barcelona job. Xabi has played under the best managers in the world. Sometimes you have to take a risk on someone with “less experience” because very few managers have IT and he definitely has it.
Yeah. And technically speaking, other than having the world class managers like Pep and obviously Klopp, everyone is going to be a risk and a gamble anyway so might as well get the best gamble.
the best fit for Liverpool is Sergio Conceição. But because he has no media around him in the uk, these guys don't talk about him
xabi alonse nr.1 but how about Arne Slot?
1. Xabi Alonso
2. Unai Emery
3. Julian Nagelsmann
4. Arne Slot
5. Simeone Inzaghi
1- Alanso
2- Thomas Frank
3- José Mourinho
4- Steven Gerrard
NB: please respect the special one Jose.
Not a chance he has not beat liverpool once with bourmouth or Newcastle. I doubt if he be long as Newcastle
I remember Loz slagging this program off in the kick off not long ago lol
Next Liverpool manager is ange postecoglou 💯😉
Why is there a advert at the start of this video for EA sports. Defeats the purpose of paying for YT premium.
They can't hire someone like Potter because he wants his team to keep the ball, rather than progress the ball (the way Klopp and Ange Postegulu does)
It has to be a manager who can:
1. Press from the forward line.
2. Wants everyone higher up the pitch.
3. Won't drop a player because of poor form.
4. Like every player to cross (or play a cross field pass) whenever possible.
4. Is sentimental and won't quickly turn his back on a player
5. Is immune to media and fans criticism.
6. Isn't into mind games
He needs to know how to keep players' egos down and make sure players are down to earth
Otherwise he won't harmonize with the current players at the club.
Gerrard, Alonso etc have to be these types of personalities.
Good analysis
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Im a Liverpool fan of 35+ years. My top 5 all time Premier League managers would be:
1. Fergie
2. Guardiola
3. Wenger
4. Klopp
5. Mourinho
It's funny, I'd completely forgotten about Franks but he'd be a major shout for me. He's mature, confident, eccentric. Alonso is the romanticist's choice; it seems ideal in so many ways but has he got enough experience to rely upon when things get difficult? That's the issue
