It's actually a decent discussion, unlike last weeks shambles
exactly this is the only combined XI i found fare
there's nothing decent about combined 11's they are the lowest form of content
what i come to the comments to write
It's because they had actual reasoning rather than just ''he's won this, he's won that''.
Because they’ve actually got two people on who have rational football takes for once 😂
No Dennis Irwin
*Roy Keane wants to know your location*
I couldn’t believe Denis Irwin wasn’t the Right back. Criminally underrated.
the united fan has negative ball knowledge
@@rLxJakeLB*
@@SwiftGamingDksome do but Irwin is class, deserves a spot
Just looking at the strikers between these two teams is incredible. Rooney, Ruud, Ronaldo, RVP, Andy Cole, Suarez, Torres, Fowler, Owen, Salah and more. What an incredible list of talent. Rooney, Ronaldo and Suarez would be my top 3 pick, but it’s bloody hard.
I’m a united fan but I remember the season Suarez was unplayable.
Ronaldo Rooney Suarez for me
Rvp didn't play long enough, his peak was at arsenal.
Really? I would have gone for Ronaldo Suarez Salah.
You can’t leave Salah out… yeah Suarez was amazing but so were these three Salah, Rooney and Ronaldo and these three had (Salah still has) better/longer premier league careers
Dennis Irwin always overlooked in these discussions it’s bizarre.
Not really. I think it’s cool to say he was him, but I’d rather have Evra all day
Black and white football 😴
@@-eL--RaL- just because you don't know him doesn't mean anything.
Fantastic player! Always consistent 🙏
Have to agree irwin was so underated. I would have put him in front of both Evra and Robertson if im honest.
The fact Suarez didn’t even get a mention is laughable
I think Suarez might be in the top 10 players of all time
2 great seasons. Hard to compare
not long enough in PL
@@palashrawat401he played 100 games +
There was Rooney. So its was him although suarez did astonoshing job in EPL
I can’t believe they even started the silly discussion whether CR7 or Mane is better 🤦🏻♂️ Kids forgot how monstrous CR7 was in his first period in MUtd
It’s literally like comparing Messi and Pedro
IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE. Same reason that Xabi alonso wasn't considered.
it was more to have a conversation and give mane his dues, thats the point of this show, he was never arguing mane is better than cr7
@@HessenUK if their all time PL stats are almost the same, then surely we have to go with the one who had better "peak"
As a TOTAL footballer, Cristiano 07/08 is probably the best version of any PL player & CR7 himself
Prem wise mane is though. People go on like everything Ronaldo done at Madrid was with united lmao. Also if we do that Wayne "lock your nans away" Rooney can get in the bin because Suarez as a player is miles better.
CR7 at United and mane is close mane at points was on the level of the best players in the world.
Irwin is the clear choice at LB and didn’t even get a mention from either of them, coming from a Liverpool fan
The one that confuses me is Evra, honestly that guy played In 5 cl finals. Sure he only won 1 but he played in 3 finals against arguably 3 greatest versions of Barcelona of all time. In addition he played in Euros finals. He was the most gifted left back technically in PL era. Sure Robertson has more assist but it’s partly due to the fact that klopp uses a system where assist are more coming from fullbacks than central midfield. But in terms of ball handling in tight spots, press resistance Evea is the best PL era left back. Robertson is great but I think he is more a system player due to klopps way of using left backs which put in crosses all the time. But in my opinion in terms raw footballing ability Evra is even ahead of Ahshly Cole.
Agree, Evra it’s has to be. Would it not be for what is most likely most unlucky draw in Cl finals this guy would have had like 4 cl gold medals. How do you even manage to time the finals against Messi, Xavi and Iniesta on three different occasion 😂
Irwin ahead of both
Ill take ashley cole over evra all day
I remember Evra was really good going forward too, great link up with Ronaldo or Giggs on the left hand side
Mane over Ronaldo is a crazy shout
well he explained it very well

they play in the same league now and ronaldo still doubles mane's G/A at 40 years old
@@samuel1awoliyi goals is hardly an arguement... Liverpool signed a prime Mane who was ripping up at Southampton while Ronaldo signed for United at 18
Once Ronaldo hit his prime he went 42 goals in a single season won back to back EPL with a UCL. It's just a shame Ronaldo had to leave when he was 24
Ronaldo Vs Mane is never a debate.
"One of one two premier league players to win the Ballon d'Or" its understandable, but kinda funny, that the only other one didnt even get a mention in this video at all 😂
This is exactly what I thought! If that's your argument then you need to at least mention Owen.
That said, even as a Liverpool fan, I can acknowledge that Owen was a bit fortunate to win the award that year.
Nearly had a heart attack when I saw the Mane discussion. Fantastic player but he isn’t even in the same league as R7 😂
I wouldn’t say it’s that bad, mane is at the bottom but there’s a discussion
@@Deathmare235there isn't
To the contrary, they’re in the exact same league. 🤓
Please don’t refer to him as R7. There’s only one Ronaldo mate and that’s Ronaldo not Cristiano
Ah yes another guy talking about Ronaldo as if it's about their whole carreers
As a full back I prefer Robertson over Trent.
As a football fan I prefer Bradley over trent
@edvardhagerupgrieg724 trents an old school Rm, he shouldn't be a defender
@@ashwilliams4959he’s definitely an traditional rb like players like dani alves and Roberto Carlos

@@ashwilliams4959 Trent isn`t an all time great defender, but he is an average to slightly above average defender.
Sure he has gotten exposed by Mbappe, Vini Jr etc, But most defenders in the world have been exposed and destroyed by them, it`s pretty much only Kyle Walker that doesn`t seem to have much of an issue against them.
What is the point of this debate when your deciding vote for the player is "he won __ amount of trophies and played for __ amount of years" when comparing a player that has retired to one that is still playing???
At least if your doing that debate there attributes or if you don't want to then open the debate to all time (not just pl era) and only players that have retired.
The point is there isn't a single utd player who'd get in a current combined team... so they turned it into a PL era XI.
@@jonathancampbell9133Haha😂
This happens everytime. Doesn't matter if a player won the league on 75 points and the other lost it on 99, the other won a trophy. Every 11 discussion is "well this guy won 5 trophies!" ok then, just end the discussion, Man Untied have won more trophies, so they should just put 11 United players
Ronaldo? Should be nowhere near it, Solskjaer has double his PL titles, so should be in the team ahead of him.
Van dijk? again laughable, O'shea and Evans both won more PLs, so put them in ahead.
@@jonathancampbell9133 You sure mate? Bruno Fernandes gets easily in.
Point is that since the inception of EPL, Liverpool have 0 shouts apart from Gerrard, Xabi Alonso and one single season of Luis Suarez to talk until now. Manchester United was on the top for 2 decades, they won everything possible multiple time, they played more games than any Liverpool player except Carragher and Gerrard, they had more goals, and more years as the best. Unlike Man Utd, not a single player except Gerrard and Suarez gets into the current team while in case of Manchester United you have 3 full stacked teams who would still completely wipe the teams even today in their prime.
The fact that it took so long for cr7 to get in over mane is itself disrespectful. Cr7 as a winger was special
If he ended up being a failure of a player at real Madrid and never became one of the greatest of all time, he wouldn’t even have been mentioned, it’s only because of Madrid he’s on this list
@@niclasrasmussen3009 I see your point, but there's no denying his premier league legacy don't quote me but I think he won 3 prems in a row and a Champions League at utd and won the Balon Dor. @@bjplvsut He was also a RW tho, hes got in on the left, as a by product of how he played at other clubs. If we are talking actually left wingers then the discussion is actually Giggs and Mane. Salah vs Ronaldo is the real discussion but its easier for both fanbases to just put them both in and argue other positions. Mane gets too much disrespect tho, id actually argue he was more important to how well Liverpool played as a team than any other player, other than maybe Allison or VVD, and ahead of Salah in that regard. There has to be a clear criteria when it comes to these combined 11's. Is it based of greatness achieved or just pure ability and skill? There are some players who are better in terms of individual ability than some players who have won more than them.
Ability means nothing if those abilities didn't helped the team achieve success in a very successful club.
Exactly! It always starts that way (individual players) and then when the hosts decide they base it longevity!... But, comparing retired players v active 🤣

So you speak on behalf of all people outside of England??? I'm not English and I think Rooney is a better footballer than Suarez.
Not in the Premier League, mate.
Rooney is the only premier league player to reach 200 league goals and 100 assists. Suarez is not comparable in regards of "creating more" lol
a lot depends on it being prime season or longevity cus like suarez for example had the best individual season in prem history other than maybe henry but he was only at that top top level for a season or 2 at liverpool so he can’t get in over rooney if it’s based on longevity

I think Ronaldo won it at United as well.....neither of them were the best in the World at the time IMO
Didn't Owen play for Man United?
@@ShajiMathew-dx8by Yes. But he was better at Liverpool. Scored 118 goals in 216 PL appearances for Liverpool. Came out of their academy. @@deadspareaccount7571 Also, from this year, you have Casemiro, Mainoo, Garnacho that are walking into today's Liverpool easily. People get confused because Gerrard did more for the Liverpool team but players in the United team did less because they played their role for the team. Scholes started out as a 10 and progressively moved deeper because that’s what the team needed and it kept them at the top for 2 decades, Gerrard always tried to do it all and it limited Liverpool.
He never limited Liverpool, Liverpool limited him, he filled in at right back in a champions league final and dragged them to win it at 24 against one of the best teams ever in that Milan side, he was playing David Ngog and Jimmy traore and so, if Gerrard was in klopps team the last few years he would of much more, still won everything except the league

When players, particularly midfielders, play under world class managers, they get utilised far more effectively.

mane was actually a better player than salah when it came to everything but finishing, when it came to bringing other players into it, dribbling, positioning he was better. His finishing was frustrating at times and it’s the reason salah is rated higher cus he finishes a lot more shots but it’s similar to diaz now at liverpool performing better than salah when it comes to everything but finishing
Then you’re really underrating salah, mane never scored any of the wild dribble goals that salah has, he hasn’t made those same assists as salah. There’s a reason why mane was moved on first. Maybe mane was as a bit more fun to watch, but saying he outperformed salah in everything but finishing is ridiculous

It really isn’t…
3% compared with 39% in terms of premier league wins since the current format. Salah has been unreal and super consistent but it’s hard to argue for any others from Liverpool. If they were so great why did they win so little or even challenge? Even as individual players. Vidic won player of the year twice. He’s not in the team, Michael Carrick won 5 titles and was unreal, not a sniff. Van der Sar longest time without conceding, 2 golden golves, 4 titles. Somehow it’s between Alisson and Schmeichel when it should be between Schmeichel and Van der Sar. Gerrard and VVD are breathing rarified air. Are Liverpool currently better than united? Without a doubt still haven’t really won much in comparison but somehow they are in with actual legends of the premier league. Mad recency bias.
Are you serious? Choosing Van Dijk over Vidic? That's madness! This has to be a case of recency bias. And to top it off, picking Mané over Cristiano? Unbelievable. It's clear now how flawed their understanding of football is. Even Mané himself would acknowledge that Cristiano is leagues beyond what he has achieved. This is beyond comprehension!
Sadio mane hase to be in the XI.hese just so UNDERRATED.
Would have preferred to lose salah over mane. Even in hindsight that would have been a poor decision.
Imagine Rio and VVD tgt in a defense.
it would be worse than Rio and Vidic lol
VVD had good 3 seasons, 2 best seasons... Vidic had more. TAA isn't even a RB, half of the people consider him as a Midfielder, and he plays midfield for England, hence Gary Nev. We talk about EPL, and we talk Gerrard, a guy who couldn't even one 1 shouldn't be talked about, for me it should be either Michael Carrick or David Beckham or Ryan Giggs.
1)Lampard. 2)scholes. 3)Gerard
That’s the right order any other way you’re just wrong
We can all agree, that VVD is one of the best CBs in PL history, but put him in front of Vidic, when VVD has won just 1 title and 1 UCL is funny at all, u just cant compare history with nowadays football (I know about Ballon DoR nominee) :D
Get Loz on more often , brings a good conversation each time
Comparing Cristiano to Mane is wild...I mean Mane or Salah probably deserved the Ballon d'Or in 2019...but even in that year Cristiano was individually better than both of them. We just know that they give the Ballon d'Or to a Champions League winner normally, unless you are Messi of course, then they give it to you even for scoring 3 goals against Ecuador and Bolivia lol.
Ronaldo deserves to be in the team, but there is a debate, Mane has more premier league goals and assists. People can’t separate Real Ronaldo vs United Ronaldo, two totally different beasts.
Lawrence please cut your hair man
Absolute shocker isn't it
ok baldy
Why don’t they do it for this season?
Because their wouldn't be a single united player in the team, thats why.
@@Mr_jz_12mainoo gets in for sure tho
When rio went in i kept watching/ when keane went in i kept watching/ when ROOONEY went in i finished the vid.
Not as bad as some discussions, some are sondeluded 😂
Allison is better than Peter Schemichel in every single aspect of goal keeping , this is just nostalgia bias , just because trophies and nostalgia , people just wanna downplay current players
Won one prem uno 😂😂 worse shot stopper, worse leader, a worse Organizer of the defence. Allison isn’t even close
Nope.
Put the weed Down.
They never let Smithy make the final choice when it’s a Spurs related video. So why is ginge allowed to make a decision here
Dude in the middle is a PSG fan I thought??

The whole United team, I can't get a Liverpool player in.
Sadio Mane is very underrated. During the time Klopp's Liverpool peaked he was their best player with VVD in my opinion. But Cristiano is Cristiano
Not a discussion as a RW, CDM or CM, Trent being a better RB than Neville is proper maaaaad
I respect the Mane shout, I agree with him calling out how underrated he is, but CR7 is a no brainer…
Mane and Cr7 is playing together now, and Cr7 is carrying their team at 39, while mane should still be in the prem
The Liverpool fans today think their team is revolutionary. You’ve won 1 league title and one champions league. Such a great team the best they have ever had in the premier league era. Yet you couldn’t dominate. Joke
*Liverpool need to play the table NOT just united. If they start like they're a goal down (and carry on until 2 / 3 up), it should be a comfortable 3 points. They play better half the time once a goal behind, use that to their advantage. Defence must be extra extra tight. Attack has to be first line of defence and play like they're desperate to turn things around. YNWA*
Mane lol this man has lost his mind 🤣
Loz's Mane argument was silly. Mane did and does get the respect he deserves, for years people said he was their favourite at Liverpool over Salah even though Salah was clearly their best player. Ronaldo was the best player in a United team that won 3 Prem titles in a row, two UCL finals winning one and losing to the best club team ever in the other. And he won the Balon D'or whilst playing in the premier league. Mane wasn't even the best player in his team never mind the world.
In fact, did the producer make Loz argue for Mane just to fill time?
I think ppl forget about mane tbh. If he was English we’d never hear the end of it
Xavi once said people in England overhyping players so easily and the fact they call Alisson best goalkeeper over Cortuis and Ter Stegen and TAA most creative fullback over Alves Lahm Roberto Carlos is crazy
This was so close to being spot on, but once again nostalgia bias and longevity arguments ruin it. Objectively the team should be Alisson, Trent, Stam, VVD, Irwin, Gerrard, Keane, Scholes, Salah, Suarez, Giggs. Ronaldo played mostly on the right, so this just feels like shoehorning him in. If the Balon d'Or argument holds weight then Owen surely walks into the team.
Only a Liverpool fan could bring Mane into a debate with Ronaldo. Honestly as a Chelsea fan that was cringe to watch. Also "era defining" as an argument needs to be put in the bin. It means nothing... You could apply it to about 30 players in world football at any given time. It's just a lack of vocabulary.
Recency bias is insane, people actually think Alisson is the GOAT goalkeeper with winning only 1 premier league, same people who actually think Modric is better than Xavi and Iniesta when he is bang average compared to them
Shearer only won one trophy and he'd be in the best PL team of all time as he's the highest PL goalscorer of all time
Scholes is serially underrated, for me, the best player England have ever produced. Mane though for me over Ronaldo, In the PL, Ronaldo is on the right and i think Salah gets in ahead of him. Mane is hugely underrated for me, Liverpool fans might disagree, but think he was more important to the team than Salah. Salah is world class, theres no doubt, one of the best ever in his position, and grabs the headlines because of his goals. But Mane, and maybe you could argue Firmino, VVD and Allison, were more important to how Liverpool played football. If Mane played well Liverpool played well, if Mane played badly, Liverpool played badly. A Goal scorer can always score when they are having a bad game, but how much Liverpool relied on Mane to put in a performance, for me gets him in this team. Salah has had some stinkers these last few week, still scored, and theyve still had bad results, however If Liverpool have that Mane this season, they win the league.
Alisson, Trent, Ferdinand, Van Dijk, Robertson, Keane, Gerrard, Scholes, Salah, Rooney, Ronaldo
Schmeichel
Trent
Stam
VVD
Irwin
Keane
Scholes
Gerrard
Salah
Suarez
CR7
Only doubts in my head are Stam for Pallister and Allison for Schmeichel.
Crazy 😅
I love and have been watching the combined 11 debate but this is the first time i actually noticed how stacked the combined team was. Nice discussion between those 2 and the final combined 11 can knockout any other combined team.
Can people just stop saying that "Trent revolutionised the right back, or full back position". Have these guys seen the Brazil teams between 1997-2003? Cafu...that's all I'm gonna say. Sorry, Roberto Carlos...oh and England's very own, Ashley Cole.
I'm tired of this "new-age, football is played differently " crap. I wanna see van Dyk vs a Drogba, or Haaland vs a Terry. Now let me enjoy the rest of this video 😃
Prime Alisson is no where near the level of the likes of Schmeichel. Not many can stand in that category bar Buffon, Neuer and a couple of others.
Trent over Neville is absolutely criminal
yes Allison is doing it and what has that got him in 7 years? 1 PL title so just because he is doing it doesnt mean its working better .
I forgot that schmeichel had xG prevented stats available during his playing days
