  • So, who is Arne Slot? Will Arne Slot be the next Liverpool manager and Klopp’s replacement? In this video, we will go over Arne Slot’s career, and look at why he would be a great fit for Liverpool.
The search for Jurgen Klopp’s successor is in overdrive. After Ruben Amorim and Liverpool apparently couldn’t agree to terms, news broke of Liverpool putting all of their eggs in the Arne Slot basket. According to some sources, they have already had an offer rejected by Feyenoord, despite Liverpool agreeing personal terms with Arne Slot already.

What makes Arne Slot so strong as a coach is that he's very quick to make changes and switch tactics if need be. He also is great at controlling his emotions making it easier for him analyse what is happening on the pitch. The moment he left AZ for Feyenoord, AZ got weaker and Feyenoord got stronger. He's respected by his players, the Dutch football fans in general which is hard to do and he's a role model for how coaches should act when being interviewed or asked to comment after a game no matter if he won, drew or lost the game. Unless Klopp has a doppelganger, I don't think us, as LFC fans, expect the clone of Jurgen. Would be bizarre.
Liverpool has had different personalities as managers, and there have been several calm, quieter types. As in all our managers through the 80s, literally the heydays, including King Kenny. Roy Evans, Rafa Benitez. A man who, for the most part, kept emotion out of things. Even Gerrard Houllier, like the former names, wasn't a run up the touchline guy. These weren't fist pumpers.
But all of them were backed, accepted, and loved by the Liverpool fanbase.
Greatness and success can come in different forms and I for one will back Arne if it is him.

Besides nationality and hairstyle the two really don't share that much similarities to be fair.
Slot is far more likeable and Liverpool is run a whole lot better than Man U is.
EtH having to rebuild without a functional scouting department and club management didn't help him. Liverpool luckily doesnt have this problem which increases the odds for Slot to succeed dramatically.
Personality-wise I think Klopp and Slot share quite a bit.

From what I’ve read that point about training is off. He’s incredibly conscious of workload and sessions are lower intensity. They monitor sprint speed and frequency to keep players under 20km red zones and never play 11v11 games in training

Liverpool are doomed, liverpool are know for their intensity, never stop pressing, late goal. If now, player dont get double session in training, i doubt the player can run for 90 minute straight in premier league intensity, as you know FA fixture is insane.

@@igedewahyuarsanathis is exactly what Slot is known for. The Championship of last season came from a lot of never-give-up games and outsprinting opponents in the last 10 minutes of the game.
Being conscious of workloads in training sessions and conditioning made the team able to beat their opponents on intensity. It also took transferred players a couple of months to reach the conditioning that is required to play Slot's game. Something that can be said for Klopps game as well.

Of course Ten Hag achieved more back in the days in Holland, but with a transfer budget of around 100M.
Slot really started at Feyenoord with 4M(!) transfer budget.
This summer we could sell most players from the starting 11, for more then 25M each!

As a Liverpool fan from the netherlands, I was hoping to see Liverpool sign Alonso after Klopp mentioned he's final season. My first reaction when i heard Arne Slot was taking over Klopp's job: Hmm never tought of this collab, but this might actually be a real good match. Slot is extremely dedicated to he's job, studies every opponent to the fullest, makes players better, just by using them in the right way on their strength and making them fit in he's philosophy..he's always calm and a gentleman, got the loyalty of the squad and brought prices to clubs with lower budgets than the opponents. Hard to compare with ETH, Arne is just a bit more down to earth, standing above alot of bullshit from outside

  • @Jozua86
    @Jozua86 11 дней назад

He's tactically really strong. All the changes he makes during a match and half time make the team better. He straight up turned down Leeds last year and wasn't too upset with the Spurs deal falling through. I think a club like Spurs is one step up from Feyenoord, but Liverpool is a level above that even. I think he's an incredibly smart guy and i'm fully confident he can handle this job.

He was perfect for managing young players that i'm not sure how he gonna manage players with such high status as in Liverpool. This is huge challenge for him and completely different environment than he've had in Alkmaar and Rotterdam.
