      I hope he can manage the big players easily. There are no big egos in the team as such but with Trent, VVD, Salah's contracts expiring in 2 years, he really needs to get them on his side else we risk losing them. Especially worried about Trent as Madrid are monitoring him and he's our most important player.

      Sorry to take your manager, but he seems to be a great fit for Liverpool. Especially the commitment to the youth. Before Klopp the Academy was at a completely different location and he made sure to bring the two programs under the same roof so that there was a clear progression for young players.

    Feyenoord fan here. Believe me i have seen this man completely change a whole team so fast. every year at feyenoord he had at least 10 new players in his team and they where all transformed after 3 months, playing in his style. Feyenoord is in the top 3 of most distanced walked per game. He really knows he to reach players (especially young players) and make them better and make them play the way he wants (wich if they do i see no reason why they cant be top of the leaugue next year). In my opinion a really good choose for liverpool with all ur young players. Rather want him to stay but if he goes i hope he goes there, the man deserves a change like that

    Slot his strength has been his amazing capacity to play beautiful high pression football and buying players that fits perfectly into that system , i see a lot of people hating without even knowing him but with a budget that Liverpool has I'm 95% he will succeed. ETH is a whole different trainer , slot has always been different. His playstyle is way more advanced and 99% of the Netherlands loved watching his tactics and adaptability. I have seen people say stuff about his lack of leadership and charisma but i think 100% of the Netherlands can agree that the way he speaks and present himself is pure class and leadership.

    👋🏾 So far I like what I hear. Promoting players from the academy ✔️ Playing good attacking football and controlling the game✔️ Pressing from the front plus patterns of play✔️ I also saw on another site that the defensive shape of the team is also important✔️ flexibility in formation ✔️ I believe the team creates a bundle load of chances. Patterns of play in the box and cut backs✔️ When required players are also allowed to play with flexibility unlike Pep’s teams✔️ Needless to say, if he gets the job, I hope he’s able to implement his philosophy successfully because Dutch manager’s make me nervous. But I’ll trust the process. We rarely get things wrong. 🤞🏾YNWA

      1st year at Feyenoord he had negative 4 million budget and he made it 3rd in the league and lost the Conference League Final against Roma.
      2nd year won the league for the first time since 2017 and made it to the Europa league quarterfinal where he lost to Roma.
      3rd year performed really well in the champions league is on track to finish with more points then last season, won the dutch cup and dropped down to Europa league and got eliminate by AS Roma.

      Klopp’s football seems more attacking, but Slot’s football seems to be more dominating.
      He wants everybody to feel comfortable under pressure, trust in their ability to outplay opponents by making smart decisions. We have been able to outperform some massive Euro teams that have triple the player budget that we have. We’ve basically only lost European games based on individual performances of superstars on other teams.

    • @MountainEyeBand
      @MountainEyeBand 5 месяцев назад

      Yes, he changes tactics even during the game. He has the ability to spot weaknesses in the other squads approach very quickly and react to it. Next to that, he is a great communicator, he is tactically very strong and he is a very normal and likeable person too who works well with all of the players and staff. If he would come to Liverpool (which I don't hope, since I support Feyenoord) he might be able to continue the success the Klopp has had over the years. I think he's one of the top 10 managers in the world at the moment, even though others may have a bigger name in football at the moment.

      He has been on point with his tactical decisions and has been able to turn around so many games where we went from playing like dogshit to locking teams up in their own box ending up with more late goals then we probably deserved.
      3 years ago we had a last minute goal specialist as where now it’s the whole frontline and midfield that come in positions to score the winner.
      I haven’t always been agreeing with his substitutes as sometimes players were playing aweful and he takes of a much better playing player, but somehow it worked out everytime. It might have been our lack of depth at some positions but when he trusts a player he tends to stick to them.

      From Chelsea’s standpoint he’d be a great choice. But from Slot’s view, is Chelsea an attractive option? He’s got a good thing going at Feyenoord, probably has champions league next year, and Chelsea has such a long track record of having no patience with their managers. I’m not sure that’s where I’d make the jump to if I’m Slot. More opportunities will come around.

    • @MSC_LFC
      @MSC_LFC 5 месяцев назад +6

      No, I disagree. Amorim's pressing metrics and verticality is most alike to Klopp. His personality fits Liverpool alot more too, it's important, especially after how Klopp had such a connection with the fans, Amorim will too.
      Also, Liverpool want structure again. That's why Edwards is back and we're making a new hierarchy with Hughes as technical director. Arne would want too much control.

    • @Bleech606
      @Bleech606 5 месяцев назад +6

      I think you're right. He fits in with the foundations already in place. If we got Amorim we'd have 7 CM's for 2 positions and the transition from youth to first team would be disrupted due to too big a change in tactics. Liverpool are probably looking to build on Klopp's foundations, not tear it down and start again.

    • @wholelottamin
      @wholelottamin 5 месяцев назад

      @@MSC_LFC Other way around. The reason why we haven't came to an agreement with Amorim yet is based on two factors: Wages & control. He wants an 100k salary and the freedom to adjust the squad however he wants, Edwards & Hughes offered less wages and less control over the squad.
      Arne is willing to accept the cut wages and less control over squad signings. That's why he's currently the frontrunner to replace Klopp.

      Taking one major competitor out of the equation certainly helps but Feyenoord’s success stands on its own merit

    • @MountainEyeBand
      @MountainEyeBand 5 месяцев назад +2

      It has definitely helped, but Feyenoord before Slot was struggling. Dick Advocaat had a very defensive and ancient approach to football, which didn't serve Feyenoord well. With Advocaat, they ended 5th in the league. They almost had no money when he took over, Feyenoord had to sell their best player and the moment and they only could invest around 6 million euro in their total squad. Yet, that year he went into the finals of the Conference League, beat PSV at their home with 0-4 and was quite close to PSV and Ajax in the league, with not the best quality of players. The year after that, he became the champion, and this year Feyenoord has champion worthy numbers again, but PSV has a ridiculous season at the moment. He has won the cup this year. Next to that, he almost became champion with AZ during the season that was cancelled because of Covid, when Ten Hag was still manager of Ajax. He would've beaten him, even though Ajax are able to spend way more money than AZ. In short: He has worked miracles at the clubs that he managed so far.

    • @kellsdemvp2552
      @kellsdemvp2552 5 месяцев назад

      ETH is nothing compared to Slot. Half the man, half the tactician. He earned his name by taking over an already championship worthy team loaded with superstars and made them play like they already did before.
      Slot on the other side took several teams that were underperforming and understaffed, made players from own youth flourish into legit pro players.
      Combine that with teams outperforming their expectations, ending up selling all their starplayers after succes and he picks up the pieces and build something similar a season later with 1/3 of a players group being all new.

    • @pitchsidepub
      @pitchsidepub  5 месяцев назад

      Fair question. We could start with United’s general decision making which has been bad for over a decade. But ten Hag had great success at Ajax and United is hardly the first club to put too much stock in on-field results and look past the fact that he won there more so because they were incredibly talented than necessarily his coaching.
      Slot is generally regarded as a great tactician and has a reputation for being loved by his players. I don’t believe the latter was true of ten Hag - it’s certainly not now - though I’m not as familiar with what his reputation was coming out of Ajax. Tactics matter, but I’ve argued that managing the media and the players is equally, if not more, important and ten Hag does not excel in those areas, in my opinion.
