Time to live your barista moment! 💃☕️🙌🏻
I’m ready for it!!😊🤘🏻
@@KomotoVlogs don't give up i got like 10 different job the past 20 years and i think i found something i like now and while watching the video i was like she could become a barista first comment i see is Burch whit is barista comment lol
Losing a crappy job isn't a step back, it's an opportunity to find somthing better. The good news is, plenty of places are looking for workers, and you've got so much energy and personality, you're bound to fit in fantastic in a position where your talents can really shine. Best of luck girl!
Thank you so much!! Since this video I have a new job AGAIN that is even better! It's crazy how life works out sometimes..
Congrats on the permit Nina. I just got mine too and my MSF class is in 2 days and I’m super nervous about it. I’ve never been on a bike before and don’t know anyone else that rides. Your videos have been really inspiring and helped give me confidence to go through with getting my license. Thank you and keep making great content!
I appreciate you talking about your struggles in this video. I relate to a lot of what you said about the trials of being laid off, getting stuck in a cycle of bad jobs, feeling undervalued, the uncertainty, stress and all of that. It's refreshing to hear someone else talk about it. Isn't it funny how all this stuff comes out while riding? It's like therapy. Hope you're finding your path.
Oh shit. You got this! It’ll be a wild ride for a while but you’re a smart cookie! I think you’ll figure it out quick! We’re all rooting for ya!
Thank you Rob!!🤘🏻
Left a comment for you on burch's video of you twos ride
You got your permit?! YES!! Let's Go Nina! 🥳 that's amazing news! Keep your head up, hope things been better for you since this video. If you ever read your comments anymore know there is someone out there rooting for you and wishing you the best!
I appreciate this comment!! Thank you!!
@@KomotoVlogs You're welcome!!! ☺
Woah door dash videos on your bikes would be so cool!
Time to sit back and think about what truly moves your soul and keeps you happy. PURSUE IT. Following your heart. There is a reason all those other jobs didn't work out
I have another job new job now that I absolutely adore.. it is weird how things always work out exactly how they're supposed to..
@@KomotoVlogs 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 heck yeah! That's great!
I watched this on a day I got some news about changes at work too.
Sometimes good things come from change and I’ve been around long enough to know that good things take time.
Nice video Nina ! This is indeed a cool little motorcycle 🎉, cheers. Eddie
Thanks Eddie!!🤘🏻
Congrats on the permit
Thank you!! Can't wait for some warmer weather
You’re awesome and we love you! ❤
Love you!!!
I wish you & your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Belated happy holidays to you and yours!
Love how you turned your back on your bike to walk to the postbox and left your phone on the bike. I had anxiety for you there! 😅
I didn’t even think about it!😂 small town perks I guess😂
@@KomotoVlogs 😅😂
you've got this⭐🧙blessings coming your way 🌞
Thank you so much!🤘🏻
Yay on the permit!!!!!! You got this!! We got your back!
Thank you!!😊🧡
The job that you had, and especially the company that you worked for offered no future, despite how well you performed. Please consider following you passions, as when you go to your hobby, you never have to go to work again. Perhaps starting at the ground level as a sales rep or parts dept staff member at a motorcycle shop. Your passion and eagerness to learn are the most valuable skills that you could offer to a new employer. I wish you the best of luck and happiness.
Thank you so much for this comment🤘🏻
Sorry to hear. I spent a career in construction which is essentially a series of temp jobs until the project was finished.
Wow! Did you move on from that career?
🙏🏾 nothing but good vibes your way!
Thanks Dom!
It’s been 3 days since I got my first motorcycle, I need more videos please
As soon as it warms up I'll be getting out a lot more!
Heads up little homie - make sure you keep pushing. Shiny side up. Congrats on the permit!
Thank you so much Paolo!! I appreciate you🤘🏻
4:18 I know someone who ran over a small black dog with their motorbike. It was either that or the larger white dog that he could see, or the human, or crash. Maybe people should not walk dogs on the road at night. Sometimes there's no choice.
With your lovely smile and happy demeanour I bet you cheer so many people up in the coffee shop. Great news about your permit! That Rebel is calling to you…..
Thank you Allan! I appreciate that🤘🏻 and yes I’m ready to live my barista- motorcycle life!!
Wow, video flow and editing is on point! And your riding looks great, especially if you can do a casual motovlog like this. You're doing great with the RUclipss and riding.
I am sorry about the job lose also. I hope all goes well and you can get a new job you'll enjoy and be happy with soon. All the love! Y'all be safe!
Thank you Link!! I appreciate you, and eh everything happens for a reason right? I got hired as a barista at the local coffee shop!!
@@KomotoVlogs Hey! That's good at least. Is it the one y'all took me to? I can't remember the name off the top of my head.
@@LinkFelton nope that’s our favorite haha this one is more of a local shop it’s super cute
Sorry I’m late. You got this Nina, and Congrats on getting your permit and the job!
Talk about late..hows a 2 month late response lol! Hi Spensa!! Thank you!
Great video Nina !!! 🤙🏽
Thanks Marvin!
Never be sorry or down about job loss. The universe kindly told you that you were meant to be somewhere else.
I agree Roger!! Totally!
I am sorry to hear you were laid off. Sometimes things happen for a reason. Look forward and backwards.
It totally happened for a reason.. it’s so wild looking back!
Dang I was nervous seeing you leave your phone on your bike at the post office. Haha. I can’t do that in California. I really enjoy your videos though. Been watching Burch a while and I’m glad to see you riding too. Your commentary as you ride is great. You’re a natural. Much respect.
I didn't even think about it haha.. If I was going in I would've grabbed it I think lol! Thank you! Ride safe!
Sorry to hear that but it’s a good thing if you were at the point of feeling stuck there. Also you should definitely door dash on the Navi. You’d make good mileage money from the 100mpg
Right?! I definitely gotta try and doordash on that thing it would be too fun
Congratulations on your permit 🎉
Thank you Tasha!!!
Congrats on the permit . Don’t give up 😅
Thank you!! No giving up here!
You did something after you got fired. That itself is winning.JUST KEEP SWIMMING(winning). The complete honesty in your video is great. (kinda why i watch that Burch dude also). Keep positive and keep doing something everyday to move forward. Some days all that is, is meditating (thinking) about what to do next to JUST KEEP SWIMMING
Thank you so much! I love your mindset, definitely carrying that into this week as I start my new job tomorrow!!🤘🏻
tough break, but if you weren't happy at your old job, then maybe for the best? congrats on getting the permit, and the new employment!
I think it was the worlds way to pushing me into a new direction (pretty forcefully) but it’s good change! And thank you!! On to bigger and better🤘🏻
I miss your vlogs, lady! I hope you feel up to making new ones in the future :) Also as a EU citizen (and for five years also a US citizen) who moved to the US almost ten years ago I definitely urge you to get your US citizenship. It's so worth it, even though it's a hassle and kind of expensive.
I'll be back on it soon! It's been chilly here and I've been a bit unmotivated to ride but I need that sunshine and then I'll be back out! and ugh, part of me wants to but it feels like giving up the last little bit of the UK in me yknow?
Been there before and its a rough place to be in but you know what something else will come along. Don't rush and just jump into any random job that'll suck the life out of you, since they let you go you qualify for unemployment and collect that till you can find a job that you will enjoy. Also congrats on the permit!!! Hey no job means you can ride as much as you want till winter!!
I considered unemployment but I went ahead to get a job as a barista for now! Still gives me time for life things but also teaches me a new skill and pays the bills! And thank you!!
@@KomotoVlogs not a bad way to go, I loved working as a barista! It's everything I loved about bartending without the drunks
5 months late to the party of watching this. But boy oh boy did RUclips recommend this to me at the correct time.
Facing being fired, from my job, at like THE worst time.
Stay safe everyone, and remember, you're working for a company, not yourself, be loyal to yourself, not a company that will treat you like a disposable resource when you're at some of your lowest hours.
Ugh I hate to hear that, but if it gives you any inspiration, getting laid off was the best thing that EVER happened to me. Where I am now, I never would have been without getting laid off. I love my job and the people I work with and it makes a world of difference. It’s cheesy but one door closes and lots more open. You’re gonna be okay!!🤘🏻
@KomotoVlogs Yeah, thank you Nina. Worst case scenario motodashing becomes my new job, which paid about as good as my current one.
(Or thinking about getting a Trail 125 and working for Domino's lol)
Love your channel I believe one door closes another one opens
Thanks James and I totally agree!!
I really want to start riding never rode a motorcycle should I go for a grom like bike or go with the rebel or like bike. I trust your thoughts on this
@@lvmtb Curiosity is where it all starts!! The Grom and Rebel are totally capable bikes, I think it depends what your primary use would be. The Rebel 300 is a perfect beginner bike and after learning on it can graduate to an excellent commuter buttttt most people quickly move onto a 500 or an 1100 due to the power. At highway speeds it won’t be the most comfortable. The Grom in my opinion is more of a “fun/hooligan” esk bike. Like a secondary bike, It’ll top out at stock at 58-60MPH but is also capable “off roading” with some mods! The rebel 300 could realistically be your only bike but the Grom really only works for “commuting style” in a smaller town. Signed by KomotoVlogs and answer verified by Life Of Burch😂
@@KomotoVlogs Thank you for that I follow Emma and when she got the honda monkey that is what would work for what I want you just can find one. I will go down and look at a rebel in person
Congrats on the permit. Sorry a out the job. I think its time for u guys to move to tennessee
Mike R always tryna get us to move😂😂🤘🏻
@@KomotoVlogs ik ik. U could ride all year here for the most part and me and Brent could have more people to ride with...lol
Tough news to get 😞 but you got a great attitude and you'll land on your feet! Ps. Youre not 'Merican??
Thanks Mack!! And nope😎
👍Are you riding the 300? Good luck dear hope all works out well for you!!
Not as much as the Navi at the moment, but I practice when I can! The Navi more convenient for me right now🤘🏻
Remember you can take your test on the Navi.
I did consider this BUT I want to make sure that I am learning and not just cheating the system to pass!
I like your video
Thank you!
You could vlog while working delivery, good luck!
It would be pretty cool! I’ll maybe have to give it ago!🤘🏻
Hey Nina I don’t mean to be nosey but I guess I’m nosey. Did not know you were not a US Citizen, curious, where are you from? Good luck, you have awesome support from Burch, you’ll be good.
I’m from the UK! Born and raised!! And I literally couldn’t ask for a better support system!😊
Apply for unemployment until you find something. Everything happens for a reason girl!!! Keep strong and that pretty head up
😁 n the permit!! Happy dance ❤
I thought about it but luckily I got hired!! I am now a barista!! Starting training Monday!!
Thank you!😊
@@KomotoVlogs yay!!!!
Do door dash and vlog for youtube at the same time.
I think I might have to if I have any spare time! Could be fun!
Laid off just in time for the holidays. That blows, but what you mean about gotta be in an American citizen? Your not here illegally are you lol. My advice work part time somewhere and go to college full time. Get a cheap associates degree from a community college. Personally I’d recommend some kind of trade (electrical, hvac, welding, etc.) those jobs are high in demand and the schooling is only 2 years and some come with paid internships.
My personal story worked in food and beverage for ~14 years. Started McDonald’s in high school, then mom and pop burger place, ran the kitchen at my parents bar which eventually closed, then sous chef at a casino. Didn’t like it. Quit got a part time job and did school full time at a community college, 2 years later graduated 2017 12k worth student loans with a degree in industrial electrician doing a program called steel worker for the future. Got a job at a steel mill as an electrician first 7 months on the job made more (45k) than I did as a sous chef (36k) and worked less hours. I now make almost 200k year with ot (not to brag).
Sparrows point, md has a steel mill that making steel for wind farms is about 45mins from Annapolis. Might be something worth looking into. Country is desperately in need of electricians. There are other ways to get into this field without having student loans by doing ibew but steel worker for the future I found easier to get my foot in the door.
I know right?! Such a bummer. And I’m legal lol don’t worry😂 I have considered getting into a trade school a couple of times, traditional school doesn’t really fit me but it’s always an expense and then school will take over all my time and I wouldn’t be working- that’s where I get stuck because I’ll always have bills. That is a crazy success story though!! Being a barista will bring me a new skill set and pay the bills so I’m happy😊
@@KomotoVlogs well I mean I got lucky I was living with my wife and her dad (she was my gf at the time) so I didn’t have to worry about mortgages or rent. But still had all the other bills, car note, phone, comcast. Fasfa let’s you take out I think like 3500 max a semester at the time so I did the max loans and worked like 24-32 hours a week. And that solved the money issues because what ever you don’t use gets deposited to your bank account. That’s how we kept our heads above water.
Schooling was really easy though. Ivy tech in Indiana where I graduated from has all sorts of class options. Some are hybrid online so you only go to the actual school 1 day a week for like 3 hours to do the labs. Then they have 8 week courses instead of traditional 16 so your doing 2 days a week but less classes. I found not having the guidance counselors arrange my classes worked best. Then I could look at what the 2 different campuses closest to me had available and do the classes out of order (so long as it didn’t interfere pre requ wise) to were I would have to physically go to the school the least amount of days a week. Probably most I ever had to physically be in a class room was 3x a week.
And a that’s anything not just electrical/trades, that’s just what worked for me. There is nursing that’s high in demand, some community colleges do cdl training in 4 weeks (Luke’s gas station is paying 100k a year for tanker drivers in local routes to deliver to the gas stations), they also have a program with NIPSCO (local electric and gas company) for power plant operator training, lineman training, and pipe fitting. Those are all I can think off the top of my head but I’m sure there is more. I’m sure there is a local community college in Maryland that does similar stuff.
All I can say is if you wanna do it, do it now when you are young. Older you get the harder it will be. I did it when I was 27 and wished I did it younger. But glad I did it rather than not. That career jump allowed my wife and I to live a more comfortable lifestyle on one income where she doesn’t have to work (not that she can she’s disabled with an autoimmune condition) and good insurance to deal with her treatments.
KoMo, do you have time to check-out "Rea" from Hawaii.? IF you can find her Channel, I think you two will have many things in common Sis. ;-)
I’ll check her out! Thanks!🤘🏻
I just learned you are "LifeofBurch" Girlfriend, correct :-) You two are doing AWESOME.! :-) Let me know if you have trouble finding "Rea" MotoChannel. I think She would love words of encouragement from you Sis.
@@AngelFaceMotoRider that’s me! Thank you!! And I found it, I’ll have to watch a video or two sometime!
WONDERFUL 🙂 I think you two have a lot in common ;-) BTW: I would like to feature Both your MotoChannels in my next video (aka Part 8 or 9)
Make sure and dump the Navi like Birch dumped his bike for the intro and you'll be set.
What?
@@KomotoVlogs Just a joke. In the intro Birch is riding his motorcycle in a parking lot and fell off because it wasn't balanced. We've probably all done it, but I did mine as a teenager.
Is this edited for some one with add? Theres no space between words I feel like im watching rushed conversation. the ending was smoother lol
Gotta keep everyone’s attention!
Edit Burches videos then you guys can pump out more content for both channels
Unfortunately that wouldn’t pay my bills haha maybe in the future
Nina... if I was you I would collect unemployment over the winter relax develop your skills more and start off fresh in the spring with a new job... it will also give you time to be picky about the job you want.. and congratulations on your permit
I considered it!! But I also don’t want to be too long without a job and lose motivation so coffee shop for now :) and thank you!
There must be a motorcycle dealership missing a female sales rep. More women are becoming bikers so a lot would expect a female employee or two at the dealerships nowadays.
Wish I’d thought of this lol! I work for a coffee roaster now
@@KomotoVlogs I'm in the UK and a young lad I work with will eventually pay £1000/$1250 to do all his motorcycle training exams. Motorcycle training is another avenue you could consider long term. All the best to you and Mr Burch
Trade crypto, bro.
I don’t think I have the attention span or education for it😂😂
