Просмотров 5 тыс.5 месяцев назад
What else would you expect when warm weather strikes in the middle of January? Leaving work early was the only option! This day was such a blessing, and it was great to get back out on the 300. I cannot wait for 2024 riding season... and if you made it to the description...comment below what you think my "secret" might be! Thank you all so much for watching!
As A New Rider, Are You Road Ready?
Просмотров 9 тыс.Год назад
Some of the most frequent questions I receive as a new rider are, how do you know you're ready to be out on the road? How did you get over your fear of other cars and drivers? When did you know you were ready to go outside of the neighborhood? So this is how I break it down! For some of you who have been riding for years this may seem like a very simple thought process, but as a new rider break...

I had the most amazing day adventuring on my 300! I just happened to find out about this woman's car meet on facebook and within a few hours I was out the door on my Rebel about to undertake my longest ride yet! It was everything I could imagine and more. I fall more in love with this bike with every ride! I guess this is also my first real motovlog? Pretty crazy to think about. How's everyone'...

This is my first ever motovlog/ stream of consciousness/ adventure on the Navi!! As you can see, I had an absolute blast. My First Rebel 300 Install EVER!! (T-Rex Crash Bars)
Просмотров 12 тыс.2 года назад
This is the first ever install on my motorcycle!! One of the biggest fears for new riders is "What happens if I drop it?!" T-Rex Racing has the answer! These T-Rex Engine Guards are designed to protect your Honda Rebel 300 or 500 in any accident and especially in a low side. I had lot of fun with this first install but it was definitely a little tricky! But I can’t wait to start adding more to ...

Good job, just remember to use your back brake first then apply your front brake. Do not use your front brake first at slow speeds or suddendly or your front end will turn and you will [hopefully not of course} drop your bike. Way to go young lady!!

I have always been an anxious person. Had day 1 today, I sucked. I have ridden around my dad’s bike (ninja 400) and have gotten REALLY good with the clutch and super comfortable. Today the clutch felt like a rock on the bike they had me use. I had to squeeze practically as hard as I can to engage the clutch. The throttle felt wobbly. I have never had an issue with the throttle. I was so upset after getting home. The instructors were jerks. And no I don’t mean just cause they were yelling, they were MAD at me. I was stalling so much and couldn’t understand why. I can do it on another bike but not on this Janky bike I guess. It was not fun. I was stalling like 4 times just trying to get going, it was embarrassing. I’m only 16 but gosh this day felt like a wreck. I am most definitely gonna fail tmrw but whatever!

Wow I'm sorry you had such an awful time at the Harley range. I actually had a great time doing the Harley course but you are right about it being compressed for time. But I had a small class (6) and a great instructor. We also had numerous breaks for water, bathroom and snacks. We also had an hour and a half for lunch. My instructor was very patient and very chill which helped calm my anxiety down. And they were great with the female riders too. Everyone was super supportive. I just made a video about my experience and have been watching other's to compare their experiences.

I just finished the HD New Rider Course. I had two great instructors, lots of personal coaching, no yelling, frequent breaks... Sorry you didn't have the same high-quality training I got. Mine was at the HD dealership in Madison, Alabama. We used their training bikes (mid-sized sport bikes.)

Considering you didn't quit and had a thorough reflection, I'd say that wasn't a waste of $400. The biggest learning curve i had was the cadence in gear shifting. My husband showed me in a parking lot, its second nature now, but it was definitely a few sessions before grasping it, thought id never get it! Way to stick it out and keep riding.

My input here is beware of talking yourself out of going out for a ride due to having confidence issues or you may end up just never riding. Plan a route and time of day such that you are unlikely to encounter situations that may be the cause of your anxiety. Put your gear on, even if you are still unsure, go out to your bike and sit on it. Hey at this point you may as well go out even if it's a 5 minute ride around the block. As a new rider, arriving home after a good ride, not perfect just good, is a great confidence booster.

The instructors at my MSF course were joking with the girls who dropped their bikes, giving them trophy's of broken parts that came off the bike when they dropped it. But they all passed. You need to have people around you who just want you to succeed.

After anyone ever takes the course, you're never road ready. you need to practice what you learned before getting mixed in with traffic.

So, The MSF course in AZ is maybe 5 days, 3 you do from home which is basically just classroom online and the last two are on the range. I made it through the first day on the range, the next day I over slept because i wasn't used to waking up at 3:30, driving an hour away to get to my course by 5. So, i had to retake the course. Paying twice as well. So, I had to take it again as well. Sucked but, If you want it, you'll get it.

I live in Arizona and it's been about 108 degrees for the past week and we're not even into summer yet. I took the MSF course about a month ago and here it started at 5:00AM and lasted until about 11:00AM, before the heat kicked in and I was still overheating in my gear. which was a long sleeve shirt, boots, jeans and a full face helmet..

Hello Nina! Want you to know that both you and Burch have been phenomenally inspirational in my own quest to enter the moto' world. I saw a Rebel 1100, sitting on the pier where me and my dad were eating, and went home to find out more. This channel -- and particularly this video -- gives me hope that my aspirations aren't ludicrous, and that my approach (wrenching, customizing and informing myself on my bike first, license after) isn't too outlandish. I feel you on the sentiment that most people will try to warn you off motor-cycling. But your journey is giving me hope of having a good time on two wheels. Have a pleasant one!
