I am the person whose dreams got left in the back burner. I got my motorcycle license at 17 and never got a bike…or even rode one after that. Well I turn 50 in a couple of months and I decided it was now or never. So I bought a 2017 Rebel 300 last week. Your videos have been instrumental in validating my feelings and giving me confidence. I am very much a beginner but getting better every day. Thank you
Hell ya ride on dont care what you ride or who you ride with just enjoy riding and tell everyone to get a bike. Bikes help in so many ways there is no reason there should be so few of us.
I am 1 minute in, and those were some really nicely explained reasons for "why." I like how you explain how you want the video to look - and none of that got cut :D
Decided to ride because I grew up around motorcycles and dirtbikes my whole life. Got my first dirtbike at 5yrs old, and then upgraded over time always telling myself after that first little 50cc dirtbike I would get a motorcycle I remember racing the passing motorcycles across my yard on my dirtbike until they were gone and then eagerly waiting for the next one to pass. I like you, was told it's dangerous and asked why I would want to do it and told stories of deaths and all the negativity which did not stop me. Tbh on my 2wheel "death machine" is my happy place
Love it!! I’ve always wondered if I had been raised riding dirt bikes whether it would be easier to learn to ride. There are a million hobbies out there just as dangerous as riding!
@@KomotoVlogs it translates into the basics knowing the controls and basic riding/positioning on the bike but other than that street and dirt riding are night and day!
I decided to ride because I was seeking the excitement that i use to have in my life when i was in the military. I found it when i hopped on two wheels and it has help a lot with my mental health.
I grew up around bikes. My dad had no less than 3 at all times and currently has 5 (one of which is in MY garage 😂). My parents have a picture of me as a tiny newborn laying in my dads helmet. It’s in my blood. For whatever reason, I’ve never learned to ride until 2018 I decided I had had enough of being a passenger. I signed up for the Harley course with no experience except for about 30 minutes on a dirt bike when I was a teen, passed, and my husband found me a little 1982 Honda nighthawk 650. She’s a sweet piece but she is an antique. I’m very short and some mods had to be made to accommodate me, but I’ve never felt comfortable or secure on it. Fast forward to May 2022 and I followed someone on a brand new rebel 300 with temp tags and was like “wtf is THAT?!” Did some digging and found out what it was and was like danggggg. In June, I signed the papers on my 2022 rebel 1100 and I’m so frickin happy. 100% there’s no content for women out there and I look forward to supporting you in your journey! If you’re ever in northern WV hit me up and we’ll go for a spin!
Dang Nina, Burch might could take some pointers from you. Your voice is so crisp. Love the both of you guys. I'm glad I have another channel to watch now. Good luck!
Hello Nina! Want you to know that both you and Burch have been phenomenally inspirational in my own quest to enter the moto' world. I saw a Rebel 1100, sitting on the pier where me and my dad were eating, and went home to find out more. This channel -- and particularly this video -- gives me hope that my aspirations aren't ludicrous, and that my approach (wrenching, customizing and informing myself on my bike first, license after) isn't too outlandish. I feel you on the sentiment that most people will try to warn you off motor-cycling. But your journey is giving me hope of having a good time on two wheels. Have a pleasant one!
You got new subscriber, I'm learning to ride myself, funny thing is that I've always been a very tense driver, but with bikes it's more caution that tension. My anxieties just fall away, it's like I'm more connected to the vehicle.
My wife and I did the same thing. Everyone told us not to do it. We did it anyway. My wife is a trooper! She has fallen several times. She will get up and brush it off and get back on the horse. I'm still afraid to take it out on the road.
Totally worth the wait, and ya left me wanting more! Great job . Can’t wait to see where it takes you. Both channels are great, but I am super interested in yours as I have been trying for what feels like forever to get my daughter into riding. She just turned 18 and we have spent tons of time jeeping together, but she said “girls don’t ride” …. Maybe she will be inspired!
Thank you so much! Girls do ride!! So glad you enjoyed the video and I really hope it inspires her to try. The goal of the channel is to show the “behind the scenes” type of stuff that IS tricky about learning to ride!🤘🏻
Can't wait for more content! We need more lady bikers on youtube, who are not only about being hot on a sportsbike. Hopefully you will inspire more ladies to get their license ✌
My wife and I are going to sign up for motorcycle classes this year. I googled what’s a good beginner bike and the Honda rebel came up. I looked up Honda rebel on RUclips and found Life of Burch and your videos. Both of your videos are awesome. Thank you for the content. Definitely informal to see how someone else new to riding motorcycles find their way on how to ride.
Decided to ride cuz my dad use to take me for rides on his goldwing when I was a kid. Took me till 35 to get a job where I could afford extra toys like motorcycles so I went out and got myself a 2015 Honda pcx150 last year then a 2022 rebel 300 this year.
My sister's friend had a motor scooter, and he let me ride it at 12 years old, and I was hooked. It wasn't until I got my own motorcycle in my 40's that I started remembering that my father had taken me on a motorcycle when I was very young. He did not have a motorcycle, it was a friend's motorcycle lot. I guess that early ride had imprinted on me to ride. That's why I ride.
Thank youuuuuu!! I'm so encouraged by you! I've wanted to ride my whole life, but it was the never the right time and place - until now! I'm shopping for my first motorcycle! Gonna go watch some more...
I've been watching some of you and Burch lately, but it didn't really sink in until this scene with your Rebel next to the Grom (?), just how much BIGGER the dang thing is, lol. Did you say that the one in your MSF was even bigger than that? I'm shitting kittens going 25-30mph on my Navi. I can't imagine the mental challenge this bigger stuff must be to overcome. Good luck!
Wow.. you're both so good at this in different ways.. I tried to do this once when I got my 1100.. it's sooo much harder than you and Burch make it look.. well done!

I take the grom out a little more than my Rebel based on time/weather but I haven’t really filmed anything yet! We also got the Navi recently that I am loving. I am no master yet!
