Hey Ginger! Video a little unpolished. You and the content very fabulous though! Right from the heart and your experience. I'm taking a riding course and then buying a bike myself this month so all of this really helped. Be safe and have loads of fun!
Nice review, its refreshing to hear what a beginner really needs to know. Most reviews you find are focused primarily on the spec sheet but most beginners will not understand how the spec sheet translates to the actual riding. experience.
I concur on the tennis elbow when putting any weight on the bars. I went with a pre-owned Yamaha FZ6 as my first bike because there wasn't much available in my area at the time; the price was right; and the seller kept great maintenance records. While the FZ6 is a sport touring bike with more of an upright position than its cousin the R6, I still have a slight lean forward with some weight on the bars. I had no issues with pain in my elbows until spending several months riding the bike as my daily commuter. I'm definitely switching to a cruiser. The Rebel was always on my short list, but used ones get grabbed up before I can even schedule a test drive.
Hey Barry, I'm not going to say I'm not a sports bike rider, cause in reality I haven't given it a try. But I do think that even after I try, I'll prefer cruiser bikes. I ride to work on my bike daily and plan to do so as long as I can. We will see what winter looks like. I'm still having some elbow pain, I decided not to deal with risers since I plan on trading up sooner than later.
Welcome to the Honda rebel family 🎉🎉🎉
