The "rehabilitation" of abusers is what a church uses to avoid holding them accountable or prevent scandal. Happened in my Christian church as well. I'm not shocked that Scientology does this but I'm still enraged.

LRH wanted his writing to be accepted by the psychology/ psychiatry establishment early in his "career". He submitted it and they rejected it because it was nonsense. Because of their rejection, he demonized them and insisted that all scientologists demonize them. (I read the book Going Clear which is very thoroughly researched)

I have followed Serge's story through the protests in LA he has participated in for a few months now. It's truly heartbreaking - you hear the pain in his voice every single time he discusses it. Many tried and Went to the FBI and apparently FBI a says all this is part of a religious experience, there is nothing wrong there regarding laws of course It’s not, but from authorities perspective, it’s all fine. So since they can’t do anything, they are exposing them on social media
Scientology has one of the strangest belief systems to me. Several years ago I read "Going Clear" and I watched Leah Remini's series as well. All I can say is I'm glad that Serge escaped! Good for you for finding your own light, and using it to light the way for others.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. It BLOWS my mind that a IRS tax status legalizes criminal activity: How does a Tax Exempt status give imunity to child abuse?
I’ve heard how bad Scientology is towards queer people. I can’t imagine how hard that would have been to live through. I’m glad he got out and I’m glad I didn’t get passed the first course because it would have been bad for me.

I wasn't accepted by Scientology because I couldn't even afford the first course ($50) back in the early 90's. It helped my friend, who routed out from the Sea Org, accept that Scientology is focussed on taking money.
All of this is sooo confusing to me. But the abuse of children has to end!!! It is absurd.
In my early twenties i knew a couple who were ex-scientologists. They were providing, as well as i can remember, biofeedback. It was supposed to be something they learned in scientology. My mother was really into it for a while. I never did see any real benefit from it, but i remember them saying that the scientology members did not want them to leave.

This is the first time I have watched this channel and I’m not quite sure why I listened all the way through but I have heard enough about Scientology of the last 20 years to learn that it is a cult and it is absolutely appalling. What they do to children. But I just want to make a comment to the the interviewer. When you asked this young man, how was he able to cope and deal with this having been so young and asking all these horrific horrific questions to an adult PEDO, whether you, or he realize this it was by the grace of God Almighty that he was able to bear this! From what I understand he was in Scientology and you were in Mormonism, which are very similar in their destruction of children. I would even go so far as to put Jehovah’s Witness in there as well. My heart goes out to this young man! But he has survived for this very reason so that he can share this horror with the world. I pray for his safety so that he may carry out this very necessary message. God bless you both.

Serge you are doing amazing work. I have 2 questions:
1. If you were to enter Scientology as an adult how, beyond having to pay for courses, how do they get control over ALL your finances. What if you refuse to give bank info, etc, to Scientology or sign a billion year contract? Can you keep them at arms length like that while assume they keep trying to get control or do they immediately disconnect from you as a bad investment?
2.What if a homeless person wanted to join Scientology and get off the streets? Would they give them some slave labour type work and feed them? Would you owe them in perpetuity for courses and have to work off your debt forever and ever?
Question 1, no it doesn't work for long as as soon as you enter the building it's watch this video then here's a book it only costs this much , you do a course boom here's another or this course that course and if you keep refusing you are labelled PTS ( potential trouble source )
Question 2 , they will not take most homeless as they see them as a degraded being and beyond help, there have been cases of homeless people joining the sea org but I believe growing up in Scientology has done a video on this 😊 hopes this helps I'm not a complete expert just what I've watched and heard from ex sciento's

These are such amazing videos. Thank you all. If you ever want to talk about Christian Science, I can help a little. I was indoctrinated from birth in uk and went to cs boarding school as well. As a child with disabilities, it was an incredibly harmful doctrine. CS was of course one of the religions that inspired L ron.
There are so many of us spending our lives recovering from Christian Science and cheering every time a church closes. Still more who didn't really ever escape from it. They seem to be open to every conspiracy theory because they still think reality is an illusion. It is very sad. ❤
