    Thank you to everyone for your kind comments and support. I am still a bit in shock and have needed some time for it to sink in!
    As for me and my situation, I have been unemployed for quite some time due to discrimination in the workplace and have had a hard time keeping jobs with the deaths in my family the past few years.
    I did reach out to the Aftermath Foundation. Despite the help they do offer some, they told me they were unable to help me due to how long it’s been since I left. It’s unfortunate because I could really use the help but I’m sure they have their reasons for making decisions.
    Thanks again y’all. Life is tough for me but your comments and kindness have made a difference. ❤

It came up in my feed after seeing you interview several different people, and your interview with Aaron. I would definitely recommend it to anyone else interested interested in your content. It was really amazing, and brave you two could discuss the trauma your family has known for several generations. I thought deprogramming from my upbringing in the 70s was a lifelong lesson. Your's is quite incredible. And you gave me the realization that those in the cult probably know less about what they're involved in than anyone. Because they're information is so controlled. How you thought you knew everything about Joseph Smith, but in reality, you knew very little. And I'm noticing it is a universal theme through all the cult's. Thanks so much for helping us understand the reality of the many cult's damaging people right in the faces of law enforcement. ✌️❤️

    • @LiterallyLisa1
      @LiterallyLisa1 7 месяцев назад +1

      There are TONS of examples of these contradictions in Scientology. “The tech” chips away at your intuition that is telling (read: yelling at) you that “THIS DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE!” For example, if you question L. Ron Hubbard in your own mind (without sharing with anyone out loud or anything), the next time you’re in at auditing session, you’re going to be asked about any “withholds” (things your aren’t saying) you may have. From there you’ll get into more trouble, just for having been honest. So the takeaway is, never have a critical thought, even if it’s the logical side of your brain telling you the truth, because you’re going to get into more trouble than it’s worth. Also, let’s not forget, more than likely ALL of your friends and family are a part of the organization, your job is most likely tied to the organization, and bringing any of this up could result in you losing everything and everyone you’ve ever known. So you make it make sense, to survive.

    I feel as if the damage of being punished and blamed for being sexually abused, then separated from her “family”, what she knew (her family system sounds irredeeming and detractful anyway) was understated here. It is amazing, incredible, rather beyond words, that she can tell her story publicly for the first time with this much and composure and grace, and that she is a functioning adult. Psych and biology are interesting, and the chronic, systemic abuse she endured in so many ways would be enough to render some other souls less productive and capable in life. This hero deserves so much good and reprieve in her life to come.

    Shelise, once again you did such a beautiful job guiding the conversation. I know it must have been difficult for you, too. ❤🙏🏻

    Sending you so much well-wishing for your journey going forward, Daisy. If I can add a comment - yes, systems can influence people to behave against their character, but... some people are criminal... and predators look for opportunities (and organisations) to act upon their impulses and garner power. Children should be told this WITH the ironclad assurance that we will keep them safe. Hugs xxxx

    What a brave young woman for coming forward. Now with Danny Masterson having been convicted of SA, perhaps CoS will start to shift their views on SA, but probably not. Chris Shelton and Tony Ortega have been covering it in depth. Thanks, Shelise and Daisy.

    I'm in the first, ten minutes of this video. I do not know the details of scientology, but it really sounds like a scary belief system.

    Wow, she's so strong! I'm so sorry for her going through so much! I wonder if she ever became friends with anyone, when she went to the "camp" at 15? She was talking about being bullied a lot. Do all the kids think it's really her fault for being assaulted? I know, I'll probably never understand.

    You don’t choose your family and the worst thing to do is stay in one that is toxic and soul-destroying. It takes a lot of guts to leave an abusive situation. I really hope that Daisy finds a new family; one of her own choosing and one who holds the same values and ideas as she holds. She is very strong and she will get stronger. I wish her well.
