Looks great. I'm not keen on chickpeas but so many vegan recipes are chickpeas. Thanks!
Thank you. Yeah! That's why we are so into lentils. Chickpeas are everywhere, but we also don't like them to much. We'll try to share more lentil recipes. 💚
Never knew this could be done, wow, thank you
Yes.. and it's nice. Just try it 😊
Yesss! I am not a fan of chickpeas and now I can have humous. 😊 Thank you, subscribed.
Thank you so much. Same here 🙂 Chickpeas are super, but I we don't like them to much. Lentils are super alternative. 💚

Yum!
Creamy hummus indeed
👍🙂
Needs a lot more garlic
I think there are no rules for taste. It always depends in how strong you like the spices. 💚
@@VeganRecipes.official that’s very true. I do love my traditional hummus. I also love to taste the garlic. 😂😂. I’ll try it with red lentils. Thanks for sharing.
Give it a try 💚
So add more re garlic.
Great Alternative 🇵🇰
Thank you 💚

Thank you very much
Translater helped me 🥰
I've made it with black beans. This looks yummy!
Nice! Have you tried with peas? You should! The colour of peas hummus is stunning 🤩💚
This doesn’t look as firm as the chic pea or black bean hummus I normally make. Does it firm up as it sits? If not, I might try using less water and see how that works.
Hello. If you want it thicker, than use less water and add more If needed. We like it like that, so we can use it also for salad or dip 😊 and it will not firm up that much. 💚
Hummmm que delícia! Obrigada por compartilhar
Thank you 💚
I like chick peas, but I can't find them canned or they are very expensive, so I have to get the raw ones an pressure cook them forever
Okay! In germany you get them canned everywhere 🙈 But we don't like them to much. That's why we made this recipe with red lentils
Does blender make a diffe rence in the texture of hummus compared to a food processor?
Hello! Yes of course. A food processor is stronger and it will get softer and smoothier. Our Mixer is very good but food processor is far better 💚
you can put lemon in blender, not just lemon juice. and blender could grate garlic
Of we could, but we didn't 🙂
GARLIC
We love garlic 🥰
There’s no mention of garlic in the list of ingredients in the description box.
Looks Yummy! What is its shelf life?
Hey thanks 😊 Sorry, I don't understand the question.
@@VeganRecipes.official They meant how long can it be stored? Does it need to be refrigerated?
Thank you for your help 👍🏼
You can keep it in the fridge for about 5 days. 💚
I do not use chickpeaa. Good to know.
We also don't use chickpeas often. Red Lentils are super as alternative. 🌱
How does it taste
Hello! It taste like hummus. But softer. 💚
Can it be frozen???
I never tried before. But why not?
Interesting that the orange color of the lentils doesn’t show through
No, if you boil them very soft, they loose the colour. They get more golden.
cumin это зира, а не тмин. тмин это caraway
There are different types of caraway... I'm sorry if it brings confusion.
@@VeganRecipes.official you can check correct translation by looking at wikipedia page in different languages. cumin translates to russian as зира, rather than тмин
Not so much "protein packed", as chickpeas have twice as much protein per 100g. Something different, though.
For that WE don't like chickpeas so much, this is a good alternative and not the only food to get protein
I like just about everything but I can’t stand the taste of hummus. It is so off putting and I don’t know what it is.
Have you ever tried to do it without tahini? Tahini is having a strong taste and there is no written rule that you have to add it. 😊 Sometimes I just don't add it and of course it taste different
I wanted to prepare some hummus lately but didn't have any tahini left. So I used almond purée- it was delicious and I prefer this new recipe to my classical hummus. 😋😋😋
I use cashew butter in my hummus, delicious.
Maybe u don’t like cumin ?
The music sucks!!!
Ok
Same recipe as for hummus...just switch the beans - boring nothing we all don't already do :(
Hello! Of course this is nothing new! But this are lentils and not beans. 🙂 Have a nice weekend
Aren't you the clever one!! Maybe you are too good for the rest of us? By the way, I personally didn't know you could do hummus with red lentils.
@christian-ir3lr Yes, you can use any bean, you may need to adjust the amount of tahini, garlic, salt and olive you use (up/or down) based on the type of bean you switch out. Some folks will also use half chickpeas and and half endamame for a protein boost. Some also will add olives, beet puree, roasted peppers, marinated artichokes, etc. to the base recipe for fun/color/flavor. It's a very flexible recipe and only takes 5 minutes to make. I've been making hummus for decades - especially if I just need a quick snack to fill up. Enjoy.
i like this substitution. love hummus but chickpeas give me gas. maybe the lentils won't. will give it a try. thank you!
Wtf.. how does it taste coz I'm making red lentils pancake
It tastes very nice. Soft and smooth, like hummus but better :)
Wird heute noch gemacht!
Looks fab! Thanks!
Thank you 🌱
Looking at full of tattoo on the skin of arms I'm feeling ill.
Then try that recipe and you will feel much better 💚
Looks delicious , thank you I'll try t for sure !!!
Thank you 💚
Thank you for sharing great video! Where can I find that grater plate that you used in the video?
Thanks for your comment. Oh, the plate is from germany. We bought it on a big market. But I think you can find something like this online. It's olive wood.
@@VeganRecipes.official Thank you 🙂
Looks terrific!!!
Thank you 🥰💚
