French General has my vote. Lots of energy but with a warm, cozy invite to grab it up and snuggle. Thanks for YOUR energy in demonstrating the art of quilting for all of us out in the quilt-y universe. May you, your family and staff have a blessed Advent season.
After watching so many RUclips tutorial videos about trading was still making losses untill Mrs Parker started managing my investment now, make $6,800 weekly. God bless Mrs Parker . She has been a blessing to my family.
Both colourways are gorgeous. The decorum one has a much lighter theme more suited to spring and summer. The French general one reminds me of log fires and being tucked up and cosy in winter. I love that you were brave enough to use the red as the background fabric as a change, it looks brilliant
I love the French General quilt. You always make everything look so easy and explain things so well. I have made only 2 quilts and several tablerunners. In one of your videos you told everyone to just have fun and if things didn't line up exactly not to stress about it. That has helped me so much. Thank you
Hi Donna and Team Jordan! I was wishing for a new video and you didn't disappoint. I think I prefer the quilt with the Moda French General collection. I'm not a big fan of white accents or backgrounds. You made both of them so very well. Thank you for a great tutorial! ~~ Lynne
I love the French General fabric with the red grunge background the best. But the other one, bone background, is also very nice. You make ALL patterns seem so easy, you are a very good teacher! Keep "inspiring" us to do our best!!
I absolutely love French General prints. Hands down, each time. Initially I was not so sure about the red choice. I was thinking I would have used the other one. But, I like the red! Wow!
I appreciate it when you make more than one quilt to show us the difference that fabric choices can make. I really love the French General quilt. Thanks for the tip about "stay stitching". I'm familiar with the term from garment sewing in high school (ages ago) , but never thought to use it with on the bias triangles. Thanks so much!
I’m always excited when you do a new video and never disappointed! I’m more partial to the French general quilt. The colors match the name better I think and looks so cozy!
The red French General is my favorite. I am very fond of red and you have chosen a wonderful dark red which makes the quilt classy. Thank you for what you do and for sharing your skills.
I really love the red! Also, I really really miss your tutorials. I do go back and watch the others, but when you put up a new one, it's like having a visit.
Wow that’s unbelievable I would have thought that pattern would have been so much harder. Donna you’re amazing. I think I have that pattern because when I started quilting again and saw Daniela’s patterns I purchased everyone of them. But watching you now makes it so much easier. I wish Daniela would start the Strip Club again. I know she’s been sick and hope she’s doing well. Her and her Mom are so talented as well as you Thank alll very very much Merry Christmas to you Matt and your families 🥰❤️👍❤️❤️
@Mary I watch Daniela and her two employees every Monday evening on Facebook where they are selling items. So therefore her strip club is also on Facebook. She has mentioned that she will be getting them as videos on their web page, but haven't done it yet.
@@jenelleboxberger522 Jenelle thank you again. I thought Monday night was mostly about Embroidery and I don’t own an Embroidery machine. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me Have a wonderful Christmas or holiday. Thanks again Mary Lou 😊❤️👍
The French General is my favorite. They are both beautiful and would be honored to have either one on display in my home. Thank you Donna for bringing us such gorgeous quilts. You are my favorite quilting instructor on RUclips! ♥
The French General is gorgeous but I'm going with Decorum because I love the back. The grunge and the floral quilting is stunning! Thanks for walking us through your thought process
I love the French general with the reds just seems to be a warmer color looking quilt. I could see myself curled up in front of a fire, wrapped in this quilt
I loved to watch your video. Both of the quilts are so beautiful. It's hard to chose a favorite, because they appeare so different. The red one looks really festive to me and the lighter one is more like spring or summer. Thank you so much for showing, Donna!
I love the French General fabrics! I like your second version too, but the use of the red for background is just an amazing change of pace! I’ve never seen a pattern that uses that technique for making the setting triangles before…..very effective!
I saw the name when the video was first released and thought you and Matt had taken a well deserved vacation. Maybe next year. I didn't think I'd like the pink in the pack but this is really my favorite of the two and the pink is a key part of that.
It is amazing how a basic box-in-a-box pattern can be modified into such a sophisticated quilt. Both colorways are gorgeous in their own right however I tend to choose red first in most cases. You always amaze me in your color selection! You have a true gift of "seeing" the finished quilt before you begin making it. Have a joyous Advent season!
The French General is beautiful. I love the creative color scheme chosen for this quilt. My go to colors are usually greens and blues but French General is the winner for me.
i have been sewing since I was 10 years old, that makes 72 years of sewing. Yet I still learn something rom you. I get so excited when I see a new design from you and I love the way you change it uo with a darker background, I love the French General on this one.
They are both beautiful. Blue is my favorite color, but the French General quilt really speaks to me. I love how vibrant and yet serene it is. Thank you for all your tutorials and hints.
That quilt is gorgeous 😍..I love the pattern and the red colors you picked ❤ Thank you Donna and Matt for another wonderful quilting video. ❤ The another quilt is pretty too. But I love the red quilt the best
Love, love, love this, Donna. French General is my fav fabric line and I collect them when my budget permits. So happy you used it. And I love that there are no bias edges except for the side triangles. I was hoping you'd select the red quilting thread, but your choice turned out lovely too. Thank you so much for deciding to make this with a French General line. 🥰
I love both, but I always lean toward the darker colors. I look forward to every one of your videos! I love them, not just the sewing; but the sounds of the cutting and snipping, even the ironing and you voice is so soothing! Well done🌸🌸
I am normally all about French general- but I really like the decorum quilt! I love how your videos include matching the thread- I always find it interesting what you choose!
I am always surprised at how a fabric can influence a quilt pattern. I was "oo-ing" and "aah-ing" over the quilt made using the French General fabric, and then you revealed the same quilt made with the Decorum fabric. I love them both - they're beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
I prefer the Decorum quilt. The wide floral print border caught my attention right away, and I love the change of pace in the colorways in the Decorum. Something different from the teal + orange colorways that seem to be so popular. The French General quilt is lovely. Since Christmas items have been in the stores since Halloween, I see it as a Christmas quilt.
The French General is my choice even though the print & colors used are outside my comfort zone. You are a great teacher and have encouraged me to take more risks when choosing colors & prints. Thank you.
This has become my favorite pattern. French General is my color choice. It's the color I use throughout my house. I watch all your videos and am always excited when a new one comes out. You have taught me so much as I'm new to quilting. Thank you so much. I've also made a table runner from one of Matt's pre-cuts. He did an excellent job in cutting it and it turned out great. Thanks Matt.
I love them both! The French General fabrics are lovely and inviting (think: a big, overstuffed chair beside a roaring fire and a good book), and the Decorum fabrics remind me of a seaside retreat (think: a beach side cottage looking out over the ocean) . Each one has such a different look and would fit beautifully into entirely different settings.
Another awesome video, French General is my favorite, that red speaks volumes and the subtle movement of the different yet coordinating prints just soothes while it definitely attracts with a romantic snuggle aura...love the Decorum also but French General wins this race for me.
Donna & Matt, Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas🎄 and a prosperous New Year🎉. May sewing 🪡small pieces together always give you a peaceful heart and a quilt to wrap you with love💙.
I love both quilts! Same design but definitely a different feel to each one. I agree, depends on which room it goes in or who its gifted to. The giveaway quilt is stunning as well!!
Donna, they are both beautiful, choosing would depend who they were made for. Being an older Grandma, I would prefer the one done in blue fabrics, but my younger Family members I'm sure would Love The French General. Seems my younger Family members always like different colors than me, which is very unsterstandable to me. As always, Thank-you for sharing all your beautiful quilts and Most of All, all the instructions.
So hard to choose which one I like best! They are both beautiful. I too use off white or cream as my background but love the way the red looks in the French General. However, blue is one of my favorite colors and the different shades of blue along with the gold is lovely. Beautiful pattern and beautiful quilts. Thank you for these wonderful tutorials!
French General has my vote. Lots of energy but with a warm, cozy invite to grab it up and snuggle. Thanks for YOUR energy in demonstrating the art of quilting for all of us out in the quilt-y universe. May you, your family and staff have a blessed Advent season.
My life is totally changed because I've been earning $15,250 returns from my $4,000 investment with Allison Parker

Ooooooh boy! I’m just getting in bed and this is a fabulous treat to see a video pop up!
I love the French general, it just feels like a warmer quilt with the colors.
I agree.
Right?! Like a happy bedtime story!
French General-so beautiful!!! Would look great in a bedroom!
Decorum for me. Nice and bright.
I loved the French General quilt. I think because of the deeper tones reminds me of fall colors and that is my favorite time of year.
So happy you've posted another video. I like the French General version of this quilt a bit more, the red is really striking!
I love both if them, however the French General Red quilt is absolutely gorgeous 😍
I love the red but the white one is so beautiful too hard to pick a favorite
I love the French General one.. I like antiques & that looks like an old quilt.. Thanks for the video of this amazing quilt!
Love, love, love, red grunge and French General by Moda!! It's always a pleasure watching your through the whole quilting process.
Both colourways are gorgeous. The decorum one has a much lighter theme more suited to spring and summer. The French general one reminds me of log fires and being tucked up and cosy in winter. I love that you were brave enough to use the red as the background fabric as a change, it looks brilliant
Well said, that’s the Quilty scene I thought I’d too!
I like both but like the French General quite a bit better.
Ms..Rowen created such a beautiful comment, I am lost for words.

I love the French General one the best.....that dark background is lovely!
They are both beautiful, but French General is my favorite.
Absolutely beautiful in both colorways but I do love the French General...that red is stunning.
Love the ease with which you teach and enable us to confidently tackle new quilts. The colour combo’s are terrific too. Love the Decorum colours
I absolutely love French General prints. Hands down, each time. Initially I was not so sure about the red choice. I was thinking I would have used the other one. But, I like the red! Wow!
They’re both so pretty but the French General I think, is my favorite. Your nails always look so good 😊
Hey, Donna. Hope your holidays were great. I miss you and looking forward to your next video. You are a great teacher.
Wow, I love them both!! I am still stunned with the setting triangles being stitched to keep them from stretching. What a cool idea.
Me too! That was new to me. I've always read to starch them well.
I love the red with the French General fabric, but the Decorum fabric is stunning as well.
I’m always excited when you do a new video and never disappointed! I’m more partial to the French general quilt. The colors match the name better I think and looks so cozy!
I like both colorways very much. Both would work well in my house. I enjoyed seeing how the 4 squares came together across the quilt.
The red French General is my favorite. I am very fond of red and you have chosen a wonderful dark red which makes the quilt classy. Thank you for what you do and for sharing your skills.
Your fabric choices are incredible. I absolutely love this quilt.
